"Shh..." Shadow hushed him, pressing a finger to Sonic's lips. His other hand slid down to the small of his back, pulling him closer until they were pressed together, chest to chest. Like this, Shadow could feel Sonic's heart hammering against his ribs, the sound deafening in the silence of the room.

Sonic closed the space between them, and the spark bursted into flames. They moved seamlessly together, Sonic’s lips already parting to welcome Shadow. There was no clumsy fumbling, no hesitation.

The black hedgehog kissed him with too much ease, too much familiarity for someone who had only tasted him for the first time merely an hour ago, his tongue slipping between Sonic’s lips and lapping into his mouth with a possessive urgency.

Sonic leaned in further, trembling and unafraid to let Shadow feel it. But the initial nervousness that had gripped him slowly melted away, leaving him to sigh into the kiss. He let out a quiet moan when he felt the delicate graze of Shadow's sharp fangs against his mouth.

The subtle, electric scrape of teeth sent a shiver through Sonic, a heat that unfurled deep and low in his body. He had been drawn by Shadow’s raw power from the start. The silent intensity, his fierce determination and the Chaos Energy burning bright hot beneath sleek black fur. It was consuming. Addictive. Sonic knew he should be careful, but he couldn’t help it, he wanted to push it. He wanted to feel the edge.

It was like playing with fire, and he wanted to feel the burn. Shadow wasn’t fragile, Sonic could be fast and reckless. He could be himself. And the hint of razor sharp claws hidden just beneath the surface of Shadow’s pristine white leather gloves let him know just how much he could take.

Shadow eased back a little before the kiss could become something else, resting his forehead gently against Sonic's and keeping him steady when he blindly chased the heat of his mouth again. He relished the way the blue hedgehog looked in the dim light, breathless and wanting, yet he maintained a tight grip on his own restraint. Shadow’s tongue flicked briefly across his own lips as he drew a slow, mesured breath, trying to take the edge off.

Because of You, I Escaped by KI56 - Sonadow. Movieverse. Two chapters, but plans for a series. A what-if story where Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles save Shadow before Gerald arrives.

No, I’m Not Afraid to Disappear by snubton - Sonadow. Gameverse. A series. Sonic is dealing with extreme memory loss after cyber corruption. He falls apart, but Rouge and Shadow are there to help pick him up.

Bound by Chaos by ShipPassingInTheNight - Sonadow. Movieverse. Currently two chapters, but updates every Saturday. Sonic is handling the aftermath of the movies, and Shadow has amnesia. Unbeknownst to them, they’re soul-bonded because of their time being Super in space. Top-tier writing.

Ups, Accidental Baby Delivery by OwlyFall - Sonadow. Movieverse. Ongoing story, currently two chapters. It’s also in Spanish. Sonic finds Silver in the woods. When he returns to his family, they’re certain Sonic gave birth to Silver. It’s a comedy.

I know that sounds degenerative, but the story is actually really good—both the plot and the writing. I would absolutely give it a shot if I were you

It also follows Sonic around in a more narrative style as he deals with the psychological turmoil that likely isn’t expressed in those records. I recommend if you wanted the Metal Virus pandemic to have lasting consequences on both the characters and the world

The first work is Knuckles and Tails having a talk with Sonic because they think he and Shadow are courting (they aren’t, according to Sonic). Second work involves Shadow coming to eat a family dinner and maybe he and Sonic start noticing why everyone else thinks they’re ‘courting’
