phew, 2020 is finally over.. it's not much of a surprise, but it was quite a nasty year for me. with covid as the constant background noise and political turmoil to further spice things up, i had to face serious health problems in my family and go through losing one of my cats to cancer. things have calmed down in the second half of the year, as much as possible anyway, but i became extremely busy with work and freelance. and so, managing to stick to my 'one personal piece a month' rule sure does feel like a small miracle. good job, me. let's do better next year! as always, thank you for all the support from the bottom of my heart. i hope you stay healthy and safe in 2021!

jellywitch (2020) here's a draw-it-again of a picture i posted exactly 10 years ago. the original design was done as part of my character design class, i was assigned the animal jellyfish and the genre fantasy. i wanted to check how i would approach the same subject/design now, after all those years. it was pretty fun~

swan song, personal piece for may. i've had this idea for some 15-20 years now and finally decided to try drawing it. the symbol on top is a musical note for silence/rest (one of them, but this one was the most visually distinctive).

coronation is a piece about having to face the reality and responsibilities you are not prepared to take on your shoulders, but still doing your best against all odds. this piece is very personal and while it might mean something else for you than it does for me, i believe many of us are currently dealing with problems that are very overwhelming. let's remain strong and do what we can. please stay safe.
