I’d like to use this post to draw whatever attention I can to the horrible and disgusting ways western media frames and covers the genocide and massacre of the Palestinian people. In western media, Palestinians are not killed by the IOF but rather “die” in explosions and airstrikes, and we aren’t told who is responsible. In western media, Palestinians are not shot by the IOF, instead they are “hit by bullets” and we are not told who shot those bullets. In western media Palestinian children are not called children, but are instead called “people under 18” and Palestinian hostages are merely called “prisoners”. Meanwhile, IOF members who are captured by the Palestinian Resistance are framed as “hostages” who where “kidnapped from their tanks”. This use of passive framing helps mask the full extent of the genocide and manufacture consent for genocide

Yesterday marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, when the Soviet Union bravely freed eastern europe from fascism, liberated the Nazi concentration camps, and crushed Nazi Germany.
