Hello!! Here’s my tribute to Marble Hornets, 3 Saved Voice Messages. It takes place during Entry 87.
I just watched this series for the first time when Tim Sutton streamed it back in April – and I’ve basically been working on this comic ever since. I was really struck by how lonely the episodes felt, especially towards the end. It was a lot of fun watching it with hundreds of other people who already held it dear… and I think it goes without saying that it’s dear to me now, too.

Anyways there's this one bit in the middle of We're All Going to the World's Fair that I'm 99% sure is a marble hornets reference
#posted this on my main first because I was just excited about the movie BUT.#my evidence: it's from a bit that's clearly meant to be a webseries about the world's fair (an in-movie creepypasta basically)#with two guys talking on the phone. and one of them calls the other Tim and then it cuts to that guy and it's so clearly knockoff Jay#like. he's got the little hat and the outfit and just. the vibes. I paused the movie because it seems so intentional to me#AND the film is based off of the author's experiences being very online in that sort of horror space as a young not-out trans person#so. the inspiration is clearly there!!! and to ME that's a marble hornets reference#obviously I can't say for sure but. I feel like I'm right. and even if I'm not I feel like this is a good movie to recommend on this blog

it’s so funny in a fucked up way that in Marble Hornets the youtube channel itself exists in-universe (and this is acknowledged by the characters). Just imagine that you’re one of Alex’s old classmates and one day you remember him and are like “Man I haven’t heard from him since he moved away, I wonder if he ever finished his student film” and so you look up Marble Hornets and you find a video of him dying from being stabbed in the neck on Youtube for everyone to see.

basic idea I had for the plot was the orginal marble hornets filming in 2006 was some kind of journey the crew went on in search of the ark, but none of them remember the journey very well, let alone what they were searching for and why.
