i think step one in calling yourself a feminist should be getting rid of your default assumptions that men are more credible than women, and that women scheme and lie in ways that men do not. that men do bad things out of loveable ignorance but women do it out of hateful malice.

I don't think men who consume porn should be allowed on juries (for trials on sex crimes). If a woman who has been raped is "too biased" for cases involving sexual assault, then a man who gains sexual pleasure from violent, degrading, humiliating, misogynistic content that's been PROVEN to reduce empathy in men towards women who've been raped (and women in general) and leads them to believe victim blaming myths about women and sexual violence (ex. being hurt turns women on, women unconsciously want to be raped and put themselves in situations where they're likely to be hurt, rape is not that traumatizing and easy to get over, etc.) are also too biased.

Full offense but if you can understand why “all lives matter” is problematic but still insist on turning women’s events into all-gender events, I am forced to conclude that you don’t actually believe that women are oppressed.

Liberal vs. Radical Feminism on gender, in a nutshell. In her book, “Against Our Will”, Susan Brownmiller has a chapter where she looks at what happens to men who are raped in prison. The answer: they often become “feminine” - masochistic, “soft”, delicate etc. Femininity is internalized abuse. It is the psychology and disposition of a masochist. It is ritualized submission. It is seen as clearly pathological and unhealthy when manifested in men - those human beings who matter, who are entitled to real dignity. When manifested in women, it is considered “natural” - a reflection of what women really, innately are. Abolish gender. Women and girls deserve nothing less.

Apart from how offensive this is:

Definitions are important. Words have a meaning. When we can decide things like lesbian, gay, woman, man, have no real definition and mean whatever anyone wants them to mean, they no longer mean anything to anyone and we lost the ability to communicate clearly with each other and eventually will need NEW words that mean what lesbian, gay, woman, man all used to mean.

And the thing is - even the new words that lesbians feel they *have* to use - "Genital preference" or "wlw" or "AFAB4AFAB"

TRAs are getting angry about their usage anyway. Because it's not that "lesbian" or "Gay" are bad words. It's that biological reality and sexuality are by nature "exclusionary".

So don't bother. Use lesbian, gay, man, woman. Your sexual boundaries, your sexuality - they are to be respected. No matter who wants to identify in to your dating pool.
