Top 5 Reasons To Visit Huasteca Potosina, Mexico
Share The Article
Last Updated 15 hours ago
The Huasteca Potosina is a beautiful area of Mexico that encompasses the states of Veracruz to the North, Tamaulipas to the South, and San Luis Potosí and Hidalgo. Here you will be able to find a lot of vegetation, jungle, impressive waterfalls and forests. It is an area with a lot of nature and biodiversity, ideal for the most adventurous traveler that loves original and nature-filled trips. We recommend you explore this area of Mexico, and here are five reasons that make it worthwhile.
Your Adventure Starts in Ciudad Valles
Your starting point is Ciudad Valles in the state of San Luis Potosí. From here, we recommend you hire a tour package that will help you book your stay and plan the types of activities you want to do. Huasteca.com is an excellent option, with all-inclusive tours, and most of their tour guides speak English. This is a great company that offers excellent service and gives back to the community, and part of their proceeds go to Selva Teenek, an animal sanctuary in the jungle and eco-park, which is also an incredible place to stay.
You can get to Ciudad Valles by flying to San Luis Potosi, but it’s still 5 hours from there. There is a smaller airport closer to Ciudad Valles, Tamuín National Airport. From there, it’s just 1.5 hours in a car or a bus ride. You can also fly into Mexico City and then take the night bus from Mexico City to Ciudad Valles. It leaves at 10 pm, and you will arrive early in the morning. Depending on what you want to do, four days is reasonable to cover the main sites.
Tamul Waterfalls
The most important and majestic waterfall of San Luis Potosí is the Tamul waterfall, with a fall of over 340 feet. It is formed by the Gallinas River that rushes over the Santa Maria River, which runs at the bottom of a narrow and deep canyon of reddish walls. The violent encounter of the two rivers gives rise to a third, the Tampaon, with incredibly turquoise waters, where you can practice rafting. Another exciting activity you will find here is rappelling by the Tamul Waterfall.
Tamasopo Waterfalls
Tamasopo means “water that falls,” and this paradise lives up to its name, because here, in the mountain range of the Sierra Madre Oriental, stands out a naturally reach site with a set of beautiful waterfalls with impressive falls of crystal clear water surrounded by lush and green vegetation. The Tamasopo Waterfalls, just like Tamul, are an icon of the Huasteca Potosina that is worth admiring and touring.
These three beautiful waterfalls form tranquil pools of turquoise water. Here you can also soak in its waters, camp, go hiking, or enjoy a traditional meal of this area at any of the stalls and premises that you will find in the surroundings.
The Magical Town of Xilitla
One of the must-see places when traveling to the Huasteca Potosina is undoubtedly the Magical Town of Xilitla. This destination has one of the most magical places in all of Mexico: the Surrealist Garden of Edward James, also known as Las Pozas, a unique space of its kind, where this sculptor and poet built impressive sculptures which are mixed between exotic vegetation and natural waterfalls more than 230 feet high. In this Magical Town, it is also worth visiting the Former Convent of San Agustín, the oldest colonial building in the entire state, which is located in Central Square.
Swallows Abyss
One of the natural wonders of Mexico is the Swallows Abyss. This abyss, located on the mountain north of the Huasteca, looks like a bottomless chasm and is one of the deepest in the world, with a fall of 1680 feet, of which 1233 feet is vertical fall. There are several species of birds, including swallows. The best time to be there happens in the morning or before night falls when these birds break the silence with their songs. To enjoy this magnificent natural spectacle, we recommend you do it with a guide so you can get there on a boat ride or reach the top of the waterfall and you can appreciate it from the heights.
La Huasteca Potosina is a spectacular place for outdoor enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and anyone who just wants to get into nature for a while. This is one of the most amazing places in the world, not just in Mexico.

Oyo shortlists investment banks for USD 1.2 billion IPO
The post Oyo shortlists investment banks for USD 1.2 billion IPO appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily.
SoftBank-backed Oyo Hotels & Rooms has shortlisted JP Morgan, Kotak Mahindra Capital and Citi for its more than USD 1.2 billion initial public offering in India. The three investment banks were taken on board recently.
The work on the issue has started, the report said, adding that the company is leaning towards a domestic IPO but has kept its options open.
The hospitality startup’s chief executive officer and founder Ritesh Agarwal had said in July that its business was likely to return to levels seen before the second wave of Covid-19 infections in India and grow from there.
The hotel aggregator, in which SoftBank owns a 46% stake and is one of its biggest bets, has endured months of layoffs, cost cuts and losses during the global health crisis. However, with easing travel curbs and increasing vaccinations, travel demand is slowly picking up in India.
Microsoft in July was in advanced talks to invest in Oyo at a valuation of $9 billion in a prelude to Oyo’s IPO, Reuters had reported.

The post Doha international airport named “Best Airport in the World” appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily.
Doha Hamad International Airport (HIA) has been named “Best Airport in the World” at the prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards 2021, moving up from third to first place in the global rankings. HIA has also been named the “Best Airport in the Middle East,” “Best Airport with 25 to 35 million Passengers,” “Best Airport Staff in the Middle East,” and “COVID-19 Airport Excellence.”
Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, said: “It is with great pride that we announce that Qatar’s Hamad International Airport has been named the world`s best airport at the Skytrax 2021 World Airport Awards. This is not only a truly remarkable achievement for HIA and the State of Qatar but an endorsement from our travellers for our commitment to service excellence. As we look towards the future, HIA remains devoted to boosting our efforts in providing the best airport experience to all our passengers.”
Edward Plaisted of Skytrax said: “We are delighted to announce that Hamad International Airport has been voted the World’s Best Airport 2021. Inaugurated in 2014, Hamad International Airport has rapidly become a customer favourite and moved from No 3 in the world in 2020 to be ranked World’s Best Airport this year. Achieving this honour is very much a team effort, and our congratulations go to the Management, staff and stakeholders at Hamad International Airport that help make this happen. As travel hubs worldwide have been impacted by the pandemic, Hamad International Airport was undeterred by the global travel disruptions and continued with its expansion plans while introducing additional airport health and safety standards. As the Official Airport Partner for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we wish Hamad International Airport every success in helping to host such a major event.”
By implementing advanced technological solutions, HIA recognised the magnitude of the global health crisis and accommodated changing traveller needs for increased sanitisation measures and contactless services. At key passenger touchpoints such as self-check-in, self-bag-drop, and terminal elevators, the airport retrofitted its existing services with touchless capabilities. It used its in-house automated facial detection system to ensure that all of its employees wore masks. To protect the airport, HIA employs Smart Screening Helmets for contactless temperature measurement and autonomous disinfectant robots that emit concentrated UV light in high passenger flow areas.
Qatar’s airport was also the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to achieve a 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating by Skytrax in 2020. The audit assessed the effectiveness of HIA’s COVID-19 policies and measures in providing a safe environment for all and recognised the airport’s commitment to operational excellence and passenger well-being.
As Qatar prepares to welcome thousands of visitors for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, HIA, the Official Airport Partner for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, is ready to create unforgettable experiences for football fans around the world. HIA’s expansion, with the first phase aiming to increase capacity to 58 million passengers per year by the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM. The second phase will begin following the FIFA World Cup Qatar and will serve 60 million passengers per year.

U.S. Issues ‘Do Not Travel’ Advisory For France, Thailand and Iceland
Share The Article
Last Updated 2 hours ago
The US has issued its latest updates to its travel advisories system, this time handing out Level 4 “Do Not Travel” notices to popular travel destinations such as France, Israel and Thailand. The most severe level of travel advisory that the US can issue, several other nations were also placed into the Level 4 bracket as the US looks to protect its citizens from harm.
With the spread of the more contagious Delta variant the reason for most of the updates, the travel industry has had to readjust following a period of reduced restrictions, and the new updates could be a blow for tourism around the world. Here’s everything you need to know about the new travel advisory notices, plus a look at which other countries received advisory updates.
France at Level 4 – Information For Travelers
With its world-renowned cuisine, galleries and landmarks, there’s little wonder why France is so popular with American travelers, with almost 5 million of them taking the trip across the Atlantic in 2019. However, the decision to move France to Level 4 could result in even fewer Americans making the trip at a time when so many were planning their first big vacations since the pandemic began.
France is in the midst of another wave of Covid-19, with its 7-day average of daily cases passing the 20,000 mark. This is reflected in the country’s travel advisory notice, which warns travelers not to travel due to high levels of Covid-19. In order to attempt to remedy the situation, the country has introduced vaccine passports which will be needed to enter restaurants and other businesses from today.
Level 4 Thailand – What Travelers Should Know
Whilst it has been open for a while now, traveling to Thailand at present – despite promises of empty beaches and bargain accommodation offers – hasn’t exactly been popular, in part due to complicated and pricey entry procedures. Its classification as a Level 4 country is unlikely to help its tourism efforts, with the US’s update coming after the country has consistently reported record daily case numbers and all but shut down domestic travel.
The travel advisory warns not to travel to the country due to high levels of Covid-19; Thailand is currently reporting a 7-day average above 20,000 for the first time this pandemic, and has struggled with its vaccine roll-out. However, its Phuket sandbox scheme may yet be an enticing prospect for travelers with an urge to visit the Land of Smiles. The island is sealed off from the rest of the country at present and boasts high vaccination rates and low case numbers. Find out more about it here.
Iceland’s “Do Not Travel” Notice – Information For Travelers
A country that has grown as a tourist destination in recent years, the “Do Not Travel” advisory was issued by the US Department of State due to high levels of Covid-19 in the country. The country is in the middle of its biggest wave yet, reporting in excess of 100 daily cases routinely in the past month. Whilst the advisory cannot actually prevent people from traveling, travelers may want to wait until the situation has improved before heading off in search of the northern lights and rugged landscapes that helped put Iceland on the map.
Other Updates – What Travelers Should Know
Several other countries also received updates to their travel advisory notices yesterday. Also heading into Level 4 were Laos, French Polynesia, Eswatini and Aruba, whilst Vietnam, Trinidad and Tobago, Malawi, Kenya, Jamaica, El Salvador, Croatia, Bolivia, Azerbaijan and Austria were handed Level 3 travel advisories, warning travelers to “reconsider travel”. The Turks and Caicos Islands, Togo, Singapore, North Macedonia, Moldova, Mauritania, Kosovo, Cameroon and Bulgaria were issued Level 2 notices, which asks travelers to “exercise increased caution”.

The airline has announced that to celebrate the team’s success, it will be giving all medal winners an executive card status to match the medal that they won in the Games.
On board the final flight back to the UK are eight gold, nine silver and three bronze medals, weighing a combined weight of 10.298 kilograms. The remaining athletes flying home with British Airways are from the boxing, track cycling, modern pentathlon and the athletic teams.

Judge Rules Norwegian Cruises Can Ask For Proof Of Vaccination In Florida
Share The Article
Last night, a federal judge ruled that Norwegian Cruise Line was able to ask passengers that are boarding in Florida for proof of their vaccination. The news comes after the state of Florida passed a controversial law banning the use of vaccine passports, and after a concerted effort on behalf of cruise lines to get around the law.
The latest twist in the ongoing saga of the cruise industry and the state of Florida, it comes as cruise lines have been reporting positive cases of Covid-19 onboard their cruises, and could help to prevent this from happening again in the future. Here’s everything you need to know about this story, and other cruise-related developments that have occurred in the past week.
Judge Sides With Norwegian – Information For Travelers
Back in April of this year, the governor of Florida Ron DeSantis issued an executive order that banned the use of vaccine passports in the state. Citing concerns that such a document would create a two-class system for citizens of the state, it meant that businesses in the state couldn’t restrict access for unvaccinated members of the public – an act that had consequences for the cruise industry, which had been working hard lobbying the CDC for a resumption of operations, as it meant they could not ask passengers in Florida for proof of vaccination.
On July 13th, Norwegian Cruise Line filed a lawsuit against Florida’s surgeon general, accusing the state of preventing them from restarting their operations in the state “safely and soundly”. The basis for Norwegian’s claim was that the ban on vaccine passports was not valid due to the fact that it not only pre-empts federal law, but that it also goes against several aspects of the constitution, including the first amendment.
Last night, it emerged that the cruise line had been handed a win in their legal proceedings. The U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams granted the cruise line’s request for a preliminary injunction that would allow them to require proof of vaccination for passengers in the lead up to the trial of the case. The decision buys the cruise line some time, and will allow them to ask for evidence from passengers for their August 15th departure from Miami – their first departure from the state since the pandemic brought the industry to a screeching halt.
Prior to the judge’s decision, asking passengers for proof of vaccination would have seen the cruise line fined as much as $5000 for each infringement of the executive order. During the court hearing, Norwegian’s attorney described the situation in Florida as “scary”, before adding that they were trying to protect their staff and passengers.
Speaking about the matter, Norwegian’s CEO, Frank Del Rio, said:
“The health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we visit is our number one priority, today, tomorrow and forever. It’s not a slogan or a tagline, we fiercely mean it and our commitment to these principles is demonstrated by the lengths our Company has gone through to provide the safest possible cruise experience from Florida.”
In other cruise-related news, both Carnival and Royal Caribbean have updated their restrictions following a series of positive Covid-19 tests on board their cruises. Carnival has widened its mask policies, whereas Royal Caribbean now requires passengers to be tested prior to boarding their cruise ships.

Miami-Aruba flights will operate Saturdays beginning Nov. 20, and Miami-Providenciales (Turks and Caicos) flights will operate Saturdays starting on Dec. 18.
All nations can visit Aruba and Turks and Caicos, with different rules based on the countries risk level.
Frontier will also be starting new flights to Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, and the Bahamas from Newark International Airport starting on December 17th. The airline will also run three times weekly flights from Philadelphia to Nassau (Bahamas) starting November 2nd.
Here are the Jamaica Covid-19 entry requirements.
These flights are part of the airline’s plan to expand to the Caribbean. In addition to the flights mentioned above, Frontier recently announced its first-ever flights to Antigua and Barbuda, with weekly Saturday flights out of Orlando starting December 4th.
Antigua and Barbuda is currently open for tourism – here are the entry requirements.
“The launch of the new service out of the busy Orlando airport opens up an important gateway to Antigua, with links to major US cities.  We can now look forward to meeting the increased demand coming out of the US this winter and from all indications, we can also expect to see more competitive pricing brought on by Frontier Airlines’ affordable rates,” said Charles Fernandez, Minister of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda.
Additionally, there will be a new weekly service from Orlando and Denver to Belize, with flights launching on Dec. 11.
Belize is open for tourism but recently announced that testing is required regardless of vaccination status.
Frontier has been adding new flights to the Caribbean as fast or faster as any other carrier. According to Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, it is one of the largest international expansions for Frontier.
“Summer 2021 has led to phenomenal growth for Frontier,” Shurz said. “Frontier travelers now have more route options than ever before to explore, while at the same time knowing they’re flying on America’s Greenest Airline, with a young fleet that maximizes efficiency every flight.”
Frontier Is Requiring Direct Employees To Be Vaccinated
Shortly after United Airlines said it would require all employees to be vaccinated, Frontier announced a similar policy. The Airline says it will also require all direct employees to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 1, 2021.
“As we continue to watch the rapid increase of new COVID-19 cases across the United States caused by the Delta variant, I am concerned for the well-being of our team members, their families and friends,” said Chief Executive Officer Barry Biffle.
“The good news is that the vast majority of our employees have already taken this important step and have gotten vaccinated.”
The airline says employees who choose not to be vaccinated, or are unable to, will be tested regularly.

Top 10 Beaches to Visit in Cancun
Share The Article
Last Updated 3 mins ago
Cancun is one of the most famous beach destinations in the world. The Mexican Caribbean has countless miles of white sand and turquoise waters.  You will find everything from quiet beaches, ideal for families, to vibrant spots with a party atmosphere, not to mention all the places to snorkel. Here is a list of the ten best beaches in Cancun so you can plan and enjoy your vacation to the fullest.
Punta Nizuc
You don’t need to go far from the hotel zone to live a beach day full of adventures. Punta Nizuc is one of the best beaches in Cancun for snorkeling and diving. The water is shallow and gives home to a fantastic coral reef. Don’t forget your mask and tube to see lots of fish. You can also see a portion of the Museum of Underwater Art (MUSA), including the beautiful sculpture “The Gardener of Hope.”
Playa Gaviota Azul
If beach and party are synonymous for you, in Playa Gaviota Azul, you will find paradise. It is very close to major nightclubs such as Coco Bongo and Mandala. That’s why there’s a very lively atmosphere with young people at all hours. This is usually a crowded beach; therefore, it is not ideal if you are looking for tranquility or traveling with children.
Chac Mool
Chac Mool is among the busiest beaches in Cancun due to its location next to the main nightlife area. But if you are looking for a quieter atmosphere, relax at Chac Mool beach. You can rent a sunbed on its white sand to spend the day contemplating the perfect color of the water with the enormous buildings of the hotel zone in the background. An ideal time to visit this beach is at dawn; you will be alone watching the sunrise over the ocean.
Xcaret
Xcaret is a theme park that fuses the best the Riviera Maya has to offer: nature, Mayan traditions, gastronomy, and cultural events. You can swim in rivers with an underground origin, cenotes, visit a recreation of a Mayan village and, of course, enjoy its beaches. This is an enjoyable place to spend a day full of activities surrounded by a spectacular atmosphere. It is one of the most popular excursions from Cancun and is 45 miles south of the city.
Playa Delfines
In the southern part of the hotel zone, Playa Delfines is indisputably the most popular. Here you will find one of the famous colored signs where it says “Cancun.” This beach is not ideal for swimming, as there is usually quite a bit of swell and currents. But if you are one of those who enjoys spending the day toasting yourself in the sun under an umbrella with good sea views, you will surely like it. Also, as the name suggests, you’re likely to see dolphins swimming in the distance.
Playa Tortugas
Most beaches in Cancun are very extensive, but Tortugas beach is relatively small in comparison. They say that good things come in small packages, and this is a good example. Despite being a smaller spot, Tortugas beach has everything you need: shops, restaurants, a generally quiet swell for swimming, many water sports, and even a platform 82 feet above the sea from which to do bungee jumping. In addition to this, it is next to the pier from where the ferries depart to Isla Mujeres.
Punta Maroma
Punta Maroma is another spectacular place to go on a day trip from Cancun. It is located about 30 miles south of the city and takes an hour to get there by car. Being further away from the city, the atmosphere is quieter. But it also has all kinds of facilities: there are many beach clubs where you can spend the day, and it’s also an ideal beach for snorkeling. If you want to treat yourself, you can stay in the fantastic villas on the water of the Dorado Maroma resort.
Puerto Morelos Reef
About 30 miles south of Cancun, you will find Puerto Morelos, a former fishing village that now lives on tourism but maintains its charm. Unlike other overexploited places in the Riviera Maya, this municipality retains a relaxed atmosphere. The Puerto Morelos Reef National Park is the best spot, a vast coral reef about 500 meters from the coast. Without a doubt, one of the best beaches in Cancun for diving and those that love watching marine fauna.
Isla Blanca
Are you looking to get away from the crowds? If you drive about half an hour north of Cancun, you will arrive at Isla Blanca. Do not be fooled by the name; it’s a peninsula covered mainly by wild vegetation. It also has a long coastline with white sand and fantastic water for a swim. Of course, there is usually some swell due to its exposure to the wind. That’s why Isla Blanca is also an ideal place to go windsurfing. Remember to bring food and everything you will need during the day because there are no shops in Isla Blanca.
Playa Langosta
Playa Langosta is one of the best beaches in the hotel zone of Cancun to visit with kids. If you don’t feel like going very far from your accommodation, here you will find everything you need to enjoy the Mexican Caribbean. Its crystal clear water is very shallow, which makes it a perfect beach to visit with family. In addition, it can be reached comfortably using the public buses that connect downtown Cancun with the hotel zone.
The beaches of Cancun are very close to paradise. With its many gorgeous white-sand beaches, each one attracts a unique type of visitor. Tell us which is your favorite!

Do International Visitors Need The French Health Pass?

American Airlines cancels 300 flights, most due to pilot shortage
The post American Airlines cancels 300 flights, most due to pilot shortage appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily.
American Airlines had to cancel nearly 300 flights only by early last week, mostly due to a lack of pilots, the Associated Press reported.
Airlines like American and Spirit are scrambling to deal with the increase in travel demand this summer as they have fewer employees than before the coronavirus pandemic. U.S. air travel has already recovered to about 80 per cent of 2019 levels.
The union representing American’s pilots accused the airline’s management for the shortage, claiming there was poor planning. “It’s pretty simple,” said union spokesman Dennis Tajer. “They don’t have enough pilots, and they don’t have modern scheduling practices to do more with what they have.” He said that bad weather “hits every airline, but American is the last to recover. This has to change.”
Spirit Airlines cancelled nearly half its schedule for Tuesday, the third straight day of extremely high cancellation numbers at the budget airline.
By early afternoon, the low-cost carrier had cancelled about 320 flights, or 47 per cent of its schedule, according to the FlightAware tracking service. Dozens of more flights were late. The blame appeared to lie at least partly with a technology outage affecting crew scheduling.
American Airlines had cancelled flights amounted to a less-alarming 9 per cent of its schedule.
The disruptions at Spirit and American are just the latest examples of airlines scrambling to deal with an increase in travel this summer. Airlines have thousands fewer employees than they did before the pandemic, but U.S. air travel has recovered to about 80 per cent of 2019 levels.
A Spirit spokesman said the airline was proactively cancelling some flights—dropping them before most passengers drive to the airport—to “reset” the operation.
“We’re working around the clock to mitigate the travel disruptions caused by overlapping operational challenges including weather, system outages and staffing shortages in some areas of the operation,” spokesman Erik Hofmeyer said. “We’re working to provide refunds for cancellations and, when possible, to re-accommodate our guests” on other flights.
A person familiar with the situation said Spirit experienced an outage Tuesday morning affecting crew scheduling, preventing airline officials from rescheduling crews to cover gaps. The person, who was not authorized to speak publicly, said crews were stranded in many places around the country and unable to get to assigned flights.
On Monday, Florida-based Spirit scrapped more than 330 flights, or 42 per cent of its schedule, more than double the rate of American Airlines, the next poorest performer among major U.S. carriers. Spirit cancelled about 20 per cent of its flights on Sunday.
American’s difficulties Tuesday came after the airline cancelled about 560 flights or 18 per cent of its schedule, on Monday and nearly 300 on Sunday, according to FlightAware. Most were at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, where thunderstorms disrupted flights for several hours Sunday.
American spokeswoman Whitney Zastrow said in a statement that Tuesday’s cancellations were largely related to Sunday’s storm in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She said employees were working around the clock to take care of customers.
Southwest cancelled about 3 per cent of its flights Tuesday, and other large U.S. airlines had even fewer cancellations, according to FlightAware. The numbers don’t count flights on smaller planes that are branded as American Eagle, United Express or Delta Connection.

EU Considering New Restrictions On U.S Tourists
Share The Article
Weeks after the EU and the United Kingdom opened to U.S based travelers, Bloomberg reports that the EU is considering reimposing restrictions on US travelers in a move that will anger the travel industry.
One of the main criteria for being on the safe list is a nation having fewer than 75 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people. However, the United States is currently just under 270 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people. Obviously, that puts it way above the threshold.
The E.U has put various nations onto its green list, and these nations include Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Montenegro, New Zealand, Qatar, Republic of Moldova, Republic of North Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Ukraine, and the U.S.
The EU has asked the United States to allow travel from Europe, but nothing has happened. A spokesman for the Slovenian Presidency stated, “Many representatives of the EU member states and of the EU have spoken to our U.S. counterparts about the plans to reopen the country for visitors from the EU countries, in particular after Europe’s step to allow the U.S. citizens to travel.”
The EU President Ursula von der Leyen has reportedly demanded that the U.S put an end to the ban. She has claimed that the EU and the US have the same conditions in terms of COVID-19, and it doesn’t make any sense to continue the ban.
Nonetheless, the United States is apparently devising a plan whereby international travelers can enter the country if they’re fully vaccinated. That comes after almost 18 months of banning all non-essential international travel into the country.
The Restrictions
Bloomberg reports that the restrictions would mean only fully vaccinated travelers can enter the EU. The restrictions would only affect non-essential travel, and wouldn’t stop vaccinated U.S travelers from entering Europe.
It’s important to state that the United Kingdom is no longer a member of the EU, and therefore these restrictions wouldn’t apply to U.S travelers entering the U.K.
The Current Restrictions On U.S Travelers
Although the travel industry expects these restrictions will only apply to non-vaccinated U.S travelers, here are some of the current restrictions on U.S travelers in Europe
Spain – U.S travelers can visit Spain from June the 24th regardless of their vaccination status. Travelers would need to bring a pre-arrival form with a QR code. There are COVID-19 restrictions in some parts of the country, but restaurants, bars, and most attractions remain open.
Germany – U.S travelers can enter Germany if they have one of the following: proof of vaccination, proof of recovery from COVID-19, and a negative COVID-19 test. The test must be a PCR test and taken within 72 hours before landing in Germany.
Greece – Greece is open to U.S tourists, but tourists must provide evidence of full vaccination or a negative PCR test. There are curfews in place between 1.30 am and 5 am, but most attractions and restaurants are open.
Ireland – Ireland opened to U.S travelers on July 19th regardless of their vaccination status. However, those with proof of full vaccination can skip testing requirements and quarantine. Unvaccinated travelers will have to provide evidence of a negative PCR test and quarantine for 14 days after arrival.
France – France is open to vaccinated and unvaccinated U.S travelers. However, unvaccinated travelers will need to bring evidence of a negative COVID-19 test before arrival.
If the EU does repose mandatory vaccination on U.S travelers, it shouldn’t change too much. Many countries require proof of vaccination anyway. Plus, some nations continue to introduce vaccine passports inside the country.

Millennials and Gen-Z are investing in travel companies
The post Millennials and Gen-Z are investing in travel companies appeared first on TD (Travel Daily Media) Travel Daily.
A new study by leading financial source DailyFX has analyzed the stock market in the US to find out which companies young investors are backing. The Gamestop fiasco last year has led to a surge in millennials and Gen Z becoming involved in the stock market, investing their money in the companies they believe are the future.
The Reddit uprising dominated stock market news, but that’s not the only thing millennials and Gen Z, whose ages range from 25-40, are investing money in. In fact, the younger market is much more diverse than you might imagine and their investments show an intriguing range of choices. So what companies do the younger generations believe in and who are they investing in?
The top 50 stocks in the US among millennials and Gen Z are:
Young investors believe in travel
The Covid-19 pandemic temporarily caused the travel industry to shut down, with companies going bankrupt and share prices falling. As the industry recovers after the implementation of vaccines, travel stocks have begun to lure younger investors. American Airlines is the fifth most popular stock due to its legacy status and strong relationship with other travel companies, with the likes of Delta and JetBlue airways also among the top 30.
Cruise company Royal Caribbean also appears among the most popular stocks for millennials and Generation Z. Despite recent fears over the spread of the Delta variant, demand is still strong with customers eager to travel. As the younger generation, millennials and Generation Z are more comfortable with the idea of traveling.
What millennials are investing in by state
The study also found the most popular investments by state with some preferring to invest in household names such as Apple and Disney, while others being less well known. We looked at the trends in search volume for share prices in each state to work out who wants what, where.
American Airlines most popular millennial investment in Illinois
It comes as no surprise to see that American Airlines is one of the travel brands leading the way for millennial and Gen Z investments. At the time of writing, it has a market cap value of $12.64 billion and is recognized as the world’s 2nd largest airline. Covid-19 should have hindered the company’s success, but significant improvements have more people keen to travel again.
United Airlines shows younger audiences investing in travel
United Airlines is another brand popular with millennials and Gen Z. In fact, it is the top investment among the demographic group in Delaware. United Airlines is viewed as the developer of new technology after being the first airline to offer in-flight wifi. Its massive network throughout Asia, as well as its strong loyalty program has enabled United Airline’s success.

Spirit Airlines Cancels Thousands Of Flights
Share The Article
Last Updated 25 seconds ago
The CEO of Spirit Airlines has stated that recovery is on the way, following the cancellation of thousands of flights in the past week by the low-cost airline. However, cancellations are expected to carry on well into next week as the airline battles against system outages and staffing issues.
The budget airline – instantly recognizable due to its bright yellow color scheme – has seen passengers stranded at airports as the situation deteriorated over the past few days, but there is hope that they are over the worst of it. Here’s everything you need to know about this story, plus a look at where they stand regarding the vaccination of staff.
Spirit Cancels Thousands Of Flights – Information For Travelers
In a typical year, Spirit Airlines has proved consistently that it is more than capable of coping with the demands of even the busiest of holiday seasons. The eighth largest airline in the US in terms of the total number of passengers, Spirit saw growth year on year before the pandemic hit, carrying 34 million passengers in 2019 before finishing 2020 with a respectable 18 million passengers carried – a figure that other airlines could only dream of.
However, in recent weeks Spirit Airlines has shown signs of struggling with the resurgence and renewed demand for air travel amongst American travelers. The unfortunate situation came to a head in the past week, with the cancellation of more than 2000 flights, leaving thousands of their passengers stranded at airports. Whilst the airline isn’t the first nor the only airline to struggle with demand during the pandemic, it has resulted in scores of angry passengers and a PR nightmare for the airline.
Spirit has pointed to a mixture of staffing shortages, technology issues and severe weather issues as the reasons why so many flights were canceled, with as many as 300 flights canceled on Friday and a staggering 450 canceled on Thursday – which attributed 56% of its total operations. Spirit’s lack of interline agreements meant that they were unable to book affected passengers onto other airlines, leaving many stranded at the airport.
However, whilst the situation is expected to carry on into next week, there are signs that it is improving. The rate of cancelations is getting better, averaging out at around 40% – an improvement on the 60% figures that the airline was reporting earlier in the week, whilst Saturday only saw a quarter of all flights canceled. Spirit’s Chief Executive Ted Christie apologized for the situation, adding “We’re going to do everything we can to earn back your loyalty.” Christie also revealed that he expected a return to normality by the middle of next week, news that is sure to comfort travelers anxiously awaiting their upcoming flights with the airline.
The airline has attempted to appease passengers who have been affected by the cancellations. Some customers were offered $50 vouchers towards their next flights with Spirit, whilst those whose flights were canceled have been rebooked on different days or given credit by the airline. Passengers whose flights were canceled by the airline are also entitled to a refund.
Spirit’s CEO has also been vocal in his calls for both passengers and employees to get vaccinated. Whilst not mandating it yet – unlike other airlines – Christie said that he is “strongly encouraging” his staff to get vaccinated and continue wearing facemasks.
