Being old is good to...

... curate your style. Or at least I hope so.

Over 30 life changes, no matter how hard we try to deny this mere fact. Once you looked sexy in that black top, so you've been keeping it throughout the years. But somehow you don't wear it anymore. Although it still fits, you don't feel good in it. You realise, it is the worst quality polyesther. Stinks. You stink in it. Unpleasant to the skin. Anyway, you used to look sexy in it, so you decide to wear it in that party tonight. Resulting you feeling uncomfortable the whole night, a bit ridiculous, not because you are wearing something "you shouldn't wear at your age" (is there anything like that, btw?!), but because the top you are wearing is not your style anymore.

In our 20s everything is just fine to wear. We are young and beautiful, everything looks good on us. We try different styles (and mix them, why not?), usually going with the flow of mass fashion. And that is perfectly ok.

In the 30s we CAN DO THE SAME! But... There is something that changes this game: WE. By 30, we usually have our own lifestyle, taste in food, fashion, etc. We still experiment, follow mainstream fashion, but now we see things through the lens of our own personality.

I have arrived to this phase in my life, being almost 32. I looked through my wardrobe the other day, and I just couldn't find anything to wear, although I have a huge amount of clothes. I don't need that much anymore. But I am in desperate need of a few special pieces.

This is it. This blog. Curating and renewing. Consciously. Responsibly. Stylishly.
