Blood that was not its blood. Breath with no value from lungs not its own. Leave it to a demon to die in such a deplorable fashion. . dramatics surpassing human quality and secrets barely uncurling from the tongue. The blade was shoved deeper until the leather bound shaft nearly penetrated, too as another anti-possession verse was spat out beneath breath. The wanna-be hunter’s efforts to spur more information and, yes, a little more pain were futile; the tell-tale mock electrical surge had come and gone. Fuck. Though there was a clear beginning to Ben’s hatred for the supernatural, there was no end. 

Each monster reached a new height of acrimony. Blade was retrieved with some difficulty from the guts and bones of the human body the demon had hijacked and defiled. Hearing the wet squelch of insides and feeling the blood marring his hands brought him back to reality, and a brief stint of nausea was pushed back as he rose to his full height. A bandana was retrieved from the pocket of his black denim jacket and used to hastily wipe away the blood from hands and hunting knife. Footfalls over Ben’s shoulder caught his immediate attention, and he craned his head to register Dorothea’s presence.

        ❝   He didn’t say much, just going on about how stupid humans are and. .    ❞    And of angels. . of Ben’s history. A headache spike across his forehead to his brain, igniting a flare of pain which drew a hiss from mouth.              ❝   Yeah, well. .    ❞    The youth struggled to continue conversation as he fought the agony of an angel’s spell

He turned around to face the female hunter with arms extended horizontally and a pseudo confident smirk upon lips.

as  much  as  she  wanted  to  believe  him  ,  years  of  experience  with  philip  and  yuliy  ,  as  well  as  the  guide  on  "  how  to  deal  with  your  teenager  "  that  they  basically  co-authored  told  her  otherwise  .  even  so  ,  dropping  the  subject  seemed  like  the  wiser  thing  to  do    ––    for  both  their  sakes  .  trust  had  been  building  slowly  yet  steadily  during  their  time  together  ,  and  any  attempt  to  test  it  would  only  be  sure  to  undermine  its  progress  .
