#SaleBuy - Boots
End of Season Sale - #MustBuy
Boots are best worn in the winters. In India, the weather is chilly for not more than a month. What with the temperate climate, boots are not a necessity but a fashion statement. Investing in a good pair, I leave it to the sales and rather spend the saving on an faux-fur overcoat.
The end-of-season sales are yet not over. I say, go grab a fabulous pair for a throw away price.

Store them well until winter. There is hardly any change in boot styles, so a they will no go out of fashion.

#SummerTip - Bright Coloured Bag
Summer is round the corner, pushing you into light coloured, airy clothes. Big or medium sized handbag in solid bright colours or bright prints will go with any summer wear. It will add some colour-drama to the boring whites.
The bag, in the pic, is my best buy in fusion bags. I picked it on my recent trip to Ahemdabad. With a great combination of stiff hobo bag style and Rajasthani block print, its a boho-chic piece from Vintage Earth. Vintage Earth started in Jaipur, and thankfully, has an outlet in Ahemdabad. Yellow and Torquoise blue block print material, red velvet and woolen plait tassles made it irresistible.
Jholas or sling bags are commonly made with such materials. So, it was a surprise to see such a bag. This one stood out for its style and colours. It is quite likely that with so many colours and materials, the designer could go wrong. The one at Vintage Earth definitely knew what he/she was doing.
Sweethearts, be careful, when you go for something filled with lots of colours. If you are not a big bag person, then go for clutch or pouch. Also, combine it with a casual light coloured outfit(Western or Indian) and you wont go wrong.

Wrong in Nude -
Deepika Padukone's dressing at Filmfare 2012 is just that. Pink pastel to nude saree with a light green blouse is so wrong. Please don't do it. If Deepika has gone all wrong, then I doubt any of us can get it right.

New Love for Valentine's Day
Get over that boring oft-repeated 'Red' for this Valentine's Day. Try out something new, like a new love ;)
Style does not always mean going with the trends. It also means donning what you feel like, what you love.
Shower your clothes with love and they will love you back. Will make you look oh-so delicious in what you wear.
Try wearing Yellow or nude with a red accessory. That will definitely catch eyeballs.
Still don't want to deviate much. Wear pink, burnt orange, scarlett red or maroon.
Have fun with your love..Lotsa XOXO

#FashionTrend2012 - Shades of nude was last year's trend and this year too its going to stay with us. With a twist. Add some contrasting shade to the nudes. Put a dash of colour and make a statement, for sure!

#FashionTrend2012 - Long-Flared-Anarkali
Flavour for this year is going to be the long-flared-Anarkali with ultra thick border. Try it in Kurtis, jackets, with churidars or Skirts/Ghagras with equal or more flare and thick borders. Such Anarkalis with assymetrical hem will rock. Sadly, this ain't for petite princesses.

Evening Gowns at 18th Annual Screen awards Red Carpet
Many A list actresses turned up in Sarees for the 18th Annual Screen Awards but we were not disappointed in the International wear section. Almost everyone got it right this time.
Ideally, we wouldn't have liked this dress but its so well-suited on Amisha Patel, we are amazed. The tassles, pink colour and danglers, we are just ignoring the clutch, is not one bit over the top.

W-o-W! Anushka Sharma has made us fall in love with this scarlet red colour drape, if only we could get that figure and height. She has worked on her look to the hilt. Loose side bun, smoky eyes, black diamond studded bangle-bracelet and black nail polish. Let the sandals remain hidden, dear.

Asin has got a fab new figure and stylist. White offset corset dress with understated side detailing, sequined clutch, balck grey ring, carelessly falling yet disciplined hairstyle, diamond studs and a dash of bright red lisptick. We say, Perfect!

Black and white never fails, but that uncut diamonds chunky neckpiece has taken the plain dress to an all new level. Mughda Godse has definitely got it right this time.

Aditi Rao Haideri, you are so pretty, you don't an elaborate makeup or showy dress, then why are you draping all the lavender in the country? Enough said.

Madhuri Dixt-Nene donning an evening gown is something. Elegant in red with a diamond bracelet and danglers. Learn newcomers learn from her.

Even Gauri & Nainika may not have thought, their gown would look so stunning on someone. Deepika Padukone does full justice to the colour, style, cut by keeping the make up and jewellry to minimum. Loved the fishtail braid. She wins this round. Hands down!

Who do you'll think wins this one?

Indian Wear - 18th Annual Screen awards Red Carpet

Dia Mirza looks splendid in the white full-sleeved anarkali with intricate design. She has matched her clutch and peep toes with the outfit, which is a safe bet for Indian clothes. The hairstyle and make up is perfect.

Mahie Gill is wearing a saree better suited for weddings. Its also not worn properly. The cap sleeved blouse does nothing for her arms. Gold clutch would have better suited this outfit. Makeup is over the top.

B-E-A-U-tiful saree Ms. Priyanka Chopra. The one actress who drapes her saree in the awesomest way, not one pleat or pin is ever out of place. This chiffon saree has just the right tones of shimmer, with off-white and maroon combo working to the T. The bracelet also is a statement in itself, something different. Minimal makeup is +1. Next time some hairstyle please, to give you some edge over others.

Net saree designed by Manish Malhotra in ink blue, we like. If it was not for those bangles, everything was so perfect, even that clutch.

Pink never fails Katrina and vice-versa. Crepe saree with small border, a diamante bracelet and danglers. The shimmer blouse puts in that much needed glow. With that slender figure, who are we to complain.

Kanjeevaram saree, flowing hair, red lipstick - Rekha's trademark is definitely working for Vidya Balan. Like her movies, her dressing style has gone two folds up.

Too much of everything not required and too less of the what was needed. Neckpiece and clutch were just not required. The kameez is going to sweep the floor any minute. Where is the make up, much needed make up?

Yes, the ghagra is stunning with that combination. Its a good change to see Ekta give up on the black and red. No, this was not a wedding event!
What do you'll think of our celebs donning Indian wear?
