In a fit of frustration, Simon spells Baz to have more empathy towards him. So Baz starts feeling whatever Simon's feeling. And he realizes what Simon feels for him doesn't feel much like hate, but in fact feels kind of familiar.

Well hello there, friends! I’ve got a little work-in-progress update to share (yes, I’m just as surprised as you are).

First things first: I’m currently working on Volume II of Wayward Heir, which I’m planning to release this summer. (Volume I is already complete and up on AO3, so feel free to check it out if you haven’t yet! 🖤) Each volume has five parts, and I’m now finishing up the script so I can jump into panel drafting and drawing. That’s my main focus right now.

This is the coat of arms of the Pitch family that will appear in Volume II! It’s based on the canon description — flames, falcon, moon — so I took those cues and personalized it to better fit the context of my story. I also came up with a motto for it: Lumen in tenebris volamus, which means “We fly into the light through the darkness.” I wanted something that captured both defiance and hope — like, yeah, we’re going into dark places, but we're aiming for the light (specially someone named something that rimes with Chaz)

Finally, here’s a sketch of the same someone (Baz) having a snack (Simon). I’ve decided to start practicing more with skin tones in different lighting, and instead of using a lifeless sphere or something soulless like that, I thought — why not do it in the middle of an actual scene? Makes the learning process way more fun.
