Valentine reaches into her satchel, a handful  of scalpels in her grip as she yanks her arm out, tossing the surgical weapons at the Director, soon dashing towards him, bone saw in hand as she once again closed the distance.

"Do you really think that you can control something that was wished by the Skullgirl? Even Marie couldn't control Peacock once she slipped into her soul-contaminated Frenzy!"

The weaponized IV pole almost slips from the Nurse's hand, one end clattering in the ground.  'Shit' she mentally utters and she quickly jumps back, before a sharp tug yanked her back. Her feet space, quickly stopping the tug, at least for awhile....

"D....Don't you ever ponder....the actual implications of such discovery Brain? Even if you do manage to control it, it will sooner or later go amuck and slip from your grasp, killing everything in it's path! And the only man who can prevent it is dead!"

Hearing the screeching of Metal, Valentine hides her saw, IV pole replacing it as she jabs the blunt end forward. Although she doubted that particular attack could truly hurt him, it should open up his defense for a potential attack....

"Perhaps, but unlike you, I've seen first hand how dangerous the Lazarus formula can become if left unchecked! Do you wish to stop a world filled with Horrors or to create them?!"

She flips the pole, sharpened end aiming for the head...

"Unfortunately the Labs had been attacked by the Skullgirl, 8 I know for sure is practically ruins now."

"Shit." She utters as the Director's changed position, the pulse coming way to close for her liking as she used her IV pole to push the distance, several loaded shots tossed at the Director. If he kept this up, she'd might be forced to sacrifice some distance to land a hit.

"What else are you suppose to call someone who should no better? Perhaps you fail to realize that as distinct her nature is, it risks are too great even for you!"

She disappears in a blur, appearing right next to the Director, bonesaw swinging...

She jumps back, Bonesaw, placed in front as a shield from the rocks thrown at her. "Unfortunately, I don't waste my time replying to fools!" 

She tosses several waves of the medical cross shaped throwing stars, aiming both high and low to stall Drain's offense.

Valentine practically leaps a couple feet away, to create a greater distance between the two, her bonesaw still partially in the sheathe. With Brain Drain, she'd have to keep a constant watch for any moves he could pull.

"Was. The specific Lab I used to work for isn't currently here."

Her face was stoic, calm even. She had no real ill will against this soldier and wished to keep it that way. She couldn't afford any enemies now.

The nurse stares at the super soldier before her. Not sure what to make of it. Although the Super Soldiers were a product of Labs 1 and 2 during the war, many fell during the assault on the former Queen…..if this one was here then it had to be…..”Panzerfaust, I presume?”

"Without Skullheart influence? Perhaps, given she's still alive after the Skullheart was destroyed, but I'm sure, even for you, the real cost of her abilities are quite high..."

"I'm well aware of her abilities, both from personal experience and from simply watching her. Even the most fatal of wounds close quite seamlessly in a moment." She starts to slowly pull out her saw....

"And that's why I must get rid of Project Peacock."

The nurse stares at the super soldier before her. Not sure what to make of it. Although the Super Soldiers were a product of Labs 1 and 2 during the war, many fell during the assault on the former Queen.....if this one was here then it had to be....."Panzerfaust, I presume?"

Blue brows furrowed, her pose standing straight. Seems that this Director was aware of her target.

"Very well, but I'm sorry to say that my business with the Clipped bird predates your interest since we've fought at the Cathedral." The hand on her Bonesaw gripped a little tighter. "And I'm surprised you even are interested in a mere reanimated Corpse, Drain."

She resists the urge to snark back, knowing now is definitely not the best time.

"I'm simply walking through here to get to my destination. And if you must pry, I'm simply making sure a lead I have is correct. " She hardens her thoughts. She had her real reasons for coming to Maplecrest tucked away. She'd rather not have this Director know about her target's...issue, much less the full situation of her reanimation on the implications of said target's nature.

Kindness never came to Valentine, not when she joined the labs, even less before, so the Director's blunt harshness phases through her, physically at least.

Valentine's own red eyes narrowed at the sight of the Psychic Director. Shit, she mentally curses. She probably should have been paying attention to her surroundings earlier if he was following her. Internally, she calms herself. She doubted it was the Brain Drain from her universe but one couldn't be too cautious....

"I'm simply checking up on a earlier investigation. Nothing more. Nothing Less. What are you doing here, Director?"

The bitter chill in the air did not bother the nurse, nor did it stall her pursuit. She heard of rumors of the ruins of an Abandoned Lab near Maplecrest, the description a near match for the same Lab she lead the Skullgirl to.

To further enforce her suspicion, rumors of a small child, skin blue as if frozen, with a large brimmed witch hat circled the supposed area. If she was there…

The Nurse’s hand shifts to the handle of her bonesaw, red eyes glancing around.

Something was following her here.
