Violet is a pretty, clever, sarcastic and somewhat moody teenager. She was described by her mother as “fearless”, and she seems to be very brave. When faced with a frightening situation, she remains composed and her sarcasm never falters.

When Donnie was 16 years old, he started witnessing bizarre things. He would always talk to a therapist, and she believed he was suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia, so she would give him loads of different medications to take. When she realized they weren't working, he was sent off to Hogsback for more professional help. Not long after, a jet engine fell in his room, causing the whole town to believe he was dead. His parents went along with it, not wanting the neighbors to know they had a freak for a son.

Tate Langdon || 19 || Student || Self-Harm & Paranoid Schizophrenia || Taken

Tate was always mentally disturbed, even as a kid. He dealt with many insecurities and the negligence of his mother and ultimately snapped and set her lover, Larry Harvey, on fire in his office at work and then went to his school and went on a killing spree, murdering a handful of his peers. That same day, he was confronted by a S.W.A.T team in his room and was shot dead when she tried to lunge at them. Tate was a ghost living in what is commonly known as 'The Murder House' But after getting a former owner of the house pregnant, His mother managed to send him off to Hogsback, just to make him suffer even more.

“The world is a filthy place, It's a filthy goddamn horror show. There's so much pain you know? There's so much.”

Emma wasn't always happy, she loved her job but becoming a known actress wasn't what she really fully wanted. She doesn't like attention at all, and the fact that she can't get a cup of coffee without having cameras in her face sends her into panic attacks. She started self-harming when she was 18, and it continued up until her make-up artist started seeing scratches on her face and arms. She quickly contacted Emma's parents and told them about Hogsback, and Emma was submitted the next day.

“This isn't fair, you do know that right? You're locking me up with a bunch of freaks.”

Darren Criss || 25 || Actor || Bipolar Disorder || Open

Darren has suffered from Bipolar disorder since he was a teenager. He figured working on Glee with all the cheerful cast members would cheer him up, and keep his moods on a good path, but in the end it only ended up making it worse.  He got even more violent, and started acting out. The only person he ever seemed to always be happy around was Chris Colfer, his characters boyfriend in the show, but Chris had no other option than to submit him into Hogsback after Darren beat him during one of his freak outs. 

“I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you.. it's like.. sometimes I can't control it. It's like.. it's not me anymore. It's this guy that feels like he has to prove himself.”

Tay was normally always happy, she had a really good life. Her mom and dad were always really supportive of her music, and really helped her. Her dad was the most helpful and supportive, and was a musician himself. When she was really little, he would bring her up on stage at local shows that he did with his band. But at the age of 13, Tay lost her father. It was a major heartbreak, and since then she was never the same. She felt like she had to constantly wear a mask to make other people happy and she hated it. When she turned 20, it got even worse, and at the age of 21, her best friend and band mate Jordan Eckes submitted her into Hogsback.

Demi Lovato || 20 || Solo Artist ||  Bipolar Disorder & Depression || Taken

Demi’s problems started when she was just a little girl trying to gain a spot in the big machine that is Hollywood. Her classmates would bully her daily, calling her ‘fat’ and ‘worthless’, and even though at the beginning she was sure she wasn’t any of those things, slowly but surely she started to believe it. And the self-hatred started. Her career quickly took off and didn’t stop going up, while her personal life was going down and down. The self-hatred evolved into something more when she started cutting her own arms and feeling like a walking dead. A few years went by and things weren’t getting any better. Coming out of a rough break-up and being unable to cut herself to cope with it because she was on tour, Demi had a breakdown. That was the sign everyone around her needed to know that this was the finish line and the starting one for another period in her life. Her parents didn’t hesitate to submit her to Hogsback, ignoring her constant protests.

Mikey Way || 31 || My Chemical Romance || Social Phobia & Night Terror Disorder || Taken

Mikey used to be a hyperactive kid when he was younger. His parents used to worry that he had ADD or ADHD or something like that. But as he and his older brother, Gerard, grew up…they switched roles. Maybe it was because of the band they formed and their new found fame, but it scared Mikey. On top of all of that, he would have crippling nightmares that would scare him to the point where he wouldn’t sleep for days, even weeks. The nightmares got worse, and he became more afraid of the world. It only worsened when he and Gerard’s beloved grandmother passed away. His night terrors got worse, and he would wake up unable to breathe. It scared the shit out of him. He only ever told Gerard, who ended up deciding that Mikey and him should go to the hospital. It was the best thing for both of them-and the band.
