What kills me is that Isolde’s biggest insecurity is her height, and in Tristan’s “dream” of her she’s shorter and weaker than him. I can’t imagine how she feels right then. I love her so much.😭

The last 3 books of Michael Vey ruined Cassy’s character. In book 6, her crush on Michael was dealt with, ended. But he, RPE, keeps bringing it up. And the whole first part of book 10 kept me groaning, like just stop. “If I’d met you first then we might’ve been” (not an exact quote but the sentiment remains true) is absolutely ridiculous in no world would he say that he, book 1-7 Michael, would never. And in no world would Taylor ever be okay with that. Cassy and Michael kissed and Taylor’s okay with that? Never. The character were never great by any means but it made sense for them. For the most part they had linear growth and they made sense. But he, RPE, took that shredded it and ruined it beyond repair.

Another thing, the women in Michael vey are much more poorly written than their male counterpart. Which is hard considering how poorly written most of the male characters are.

Despite my last post, I’m absolutely obsessed with Chispa. He’s so interesting and was written poorly. I can’t stop thinking about him. The entire colony had so much potential. And what did RPE do? He squandered it entirely. I want to start a youtube just to complain about this abysmal series. The entire Michael Vey series deserves better.

By the way, I've been thinking a lot, Golden Goose Avenue was made famous (?) because of Jack (based on his history)?
Sorry this took so long I was on vacation.
But this actually makes sense. Now if you don’t know Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk has a golden goose in it hence the name. I would’ve loved to see a beanstalk or something to tie it in lol.
Sorry this is bad I’m in the car.

I love Jack being the one to break the mirror at the end. Like the one who is seen being the most obsessed with his appearance and beauty being the one to break a bigger version of the thing he used as a weapon the first time he and snow/red shoes meet is so cool.

Do you think Jack the Dwarf turns into a human when he uses the Invisibility Cloak?
Thank you so much for asking.
I think logically that would make sense, but it doesn’t seem like it works that way in cannon.
Tumblr media
Look how low the spear is, I don’t think If he was his normal height it’d be that low.
Tumblr media
And here we can see the outline of him. I know she’s looking at him here, but this was the closest screenshot I could get. If you watch the scene, you can see a little before this there’s a bit of fuzz indicating his outline.
Tumblr media
We can also see here that the spear is too low for Jack to be his full height.
I think the animators or whoever just made a mistake. These are the only scenes where he’s wearing his cloak fully.
Thank you for asking❤️

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people treat Honey from Ouran Highschool Host Club as a child. He’s not a child, he may look like one and act like one but he is a grown man. He’s 18. 18! He’s the first one to get married, too. Like? When people make him talk like a child in fanfiction and stuff it makes me irrationally angry. Because he’s the oldest in the club. I think it’s just a coping mechanism from being forced to hide away his “cute” side. And that now he has a chance to be himself with no shame. He takes the opportunity. Are we forgetting dark honey? I just am sick of the infantilisation of him. And yes I know he acts like a child but he can do things expected of him for his age. He’s not a toddler.
This might be incoherent, I didn’t even put proper grammar in, but, I just needed to get this out of my head. I might make another post on how I hate sengen.

Merlin and Snow White are the cutest. I love their relationship so much, I’m probably gonna make a post of their relationship in the upcoming days. I probably won’t tomorrow because I’m at my grandmas and can’t watch it. I just got a strange burst of thoughts about them.

Red Shoes and The Seven Dwarfs and Excalibur
It took me a while to catch that Excalibur is the sword in the stone and it isn't in Arthurian legends. It's a common misconception that Arthur pulled Excalibur from the stone and that's how he got it, but it's not true.
He pulled the sword in the stone, a sword enchanted by the sorcerer Merlin to only come out of the anvil (in most early stories it's an anvil, not a stone) by the rightful king, Arthur. That's how he obtained that.
He got Excalibur from the Lady in the Lake, in most versions. He got a sheath too; it gave the wearer invulnerability in battle. However, it went back to the Lady of the Lake by Morgana Le Fey's betrayal (Arthur's half-sister).
In many modern stories, Excalibur and the sword in the stone are the same sword. And there's not anything, technically, wrong with either version, but it bugs me a bit when they're both portrayed as being the same weapon.

Red Shoes and The Seven Dwarfs and Talismans
Merlin is the only one who uses magic, and he needs to use what looks like talismans. And when I say talisman, I mean a paper talisman.
Talismans are objects given magical or religious powers. Typically, they're intended to protect, heal, or harm whoever they're made for. Talismans has been used pretty much everywhere at some point in time. However, I will be talking about it in Asian history because RSATSD was made in South Korea.
Merlin uses bujeok, which is a Korean talisman. Korean shamans make these for clients for protection, good luck, prosperity, etc. They are typically written on yellow paper with red ink. Both of these colors are "good luck" colors. Yellow is used because it repels evil spirits and red ink is used because it represents fire, good luck, life, and/ or blood.
Traditionally, the yellow paper is a traditional Korean paper known as hanji. Bujeok originated from Chinese Taoism and have evolved drastically from where they started.
I noticed that he used a talisman when I first watched it, but I had no clue of the history behind it or what it was he used. I may go into more detail in another post but maybe not.

If you look at when the f7 are gathered around discussing who’s to make red shoes fall for them, you can see a round table they’re sitting around. This is in reference to Arthurian legend where King Arthur and the knights of the round table are to be seen as equals of each other with no “head” of the table. Both Arthur and Merlin are based on Arthurian legend characters so I’ve no doubt it was intentional.
