Asian Stars and The USA: A History
Hikaru Utada: I am a celebrated singer-songwriter in Japan who is beloved by the entire country. I grew up in New York and speak perfect, unaccented English. I'm going to record an interesting, unique CD for the U.S., entirely in English, and try to make it in Hollywood.
USA:
BoA: Hello! I am an incredibly strong vocalist with a range people dream of and dance skills America hasn't seen in a pop star since Usher. Not only am I a legend in my home country of South Korea, I managed to become a best selling artist in Japan, paving the way for future Korean artists to find Asian-wide success. Now, I'm going to debut in the states with a dance CD written by proven hit makers.
USA:
Wonder Girls: We're a fun, colorful five member girl group reminiscent of the Spice Girls. We sing the sort of sugar-cute pop that's popular in Asia but not as accepted in the U.S. We are bravely going to give up our massive popularity in South Korea to promote our sugar-cute style to teenagers in America, slowly building up hype, never losing our flare. We will spend years and years working on our English and our debut, hooking up with established stars like Akon in the process. We even made a movie with Teen Nick.
USA:
Jin Akanishi: I'm a former member of an incredibly popular Japanese boy band. I left them for good to explore a career in the USA, studying English and working to achieve my dream, to sing and dance as an Asian star in America.
USA:
Girls' Generation: We're flirting with this market, performing on national, network television twice with our English song The Boys, written by one of Michael Jackson's old song writers. We are nine slim, attractive girls, two of whom are from the states and speak perfect English.
USA:
Psy: lol omg guys watch me dance like a horsey.
USA: YES! EXCELLENT!
Psy: Wait what?

Dual Life by KIM SORI: Ok, I'm doing this review (I'm starting again) because this MV deserves my post and my opinion. I didn't like it one bit. Hmmmm where to start, I understand that agencies are the ones who decides on the song, concept, clothes, dances, etc. because it is on the contract; but I'm sure.....really sure that...artist have a tiny right to speak their mind about it. Maybe they can keep going with the plan, but at least changing some things? IDK, it should be like that, artist are not mannequins (seems like it, on some agencies).
This song is terrible....there are so much songs like this and I have enough of HyunA....she's enough. I don't need another girl with a super sexy concept, revealing clothes, poor choreography (and I know she can dance), and her voice....I mean....WHAT?, I can be a singer in S. Korea then, I will go to Kpop Star and win that thing. I can do the same moves with that voice, and decent clothes. Sorry....I needed to say it.
There are people with potential, Sori probably have a lot, but what is this? just to sell? she's debuting, she should do better (don't tell me she's liking that new image of her)...there's HyunA already.....just no.
Disappointed....sorry Sori Fans, maybe the rythm is good, but no.

A lot of stuff has happened these days. SHINee got booed. A couple of Exotics made Donghae sad. Lay is seriously hurt. Leeteuk left for the Army. Nu'est got stopped by the police. And B.A.P got trashed by racist fools. We need to stop the fan wars. We are a huge fandom after all. The K-Pop fandom.

You will need to excuse for some time. I live in Venezuela if you don't know, a beautiful country that has lived with 14 years in a big dictatorship. Today was the day to speak and tell the world we needed and wanted a change. It was not possible, now Venezuela will pass through 6 more years of the same government, in pain, social class fights, discrimination, corruption and more
sorry guys....is hard here.....life is hard here

PSY’s Gangnam Style sets a Guinness World Record!
South Korean rapper Psy has a new reason to boast: He just broke a Guinness World Record.
The records-keeping authority announced Friday morning that Psy’s Gangnam Style broke the record for “Most Likes on YouTube” with 2,141,758. That breaks the previous record set by LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem (1,574,963), Justin’s Bieber’s Baby (1,327,147) and Adele’s Rolling in the deep (1,245,641). (It should also be noted that Psy’s hit is edging close to 100,000 dislikes as well.) Gangnam also has racked up 227 million views, which puts it just outside of YouTube’s list of the 30 most-viewed videos ever.
In a release, Guinness World Records Community Manager, Dan Barrett, said: “Having been the ‘Have you seen this?!’ video of the last two months across the web, it’s great to be able to award a record for this tremendously popular video. In years past it was unthinkable that something would be viewed a hundred million times, and now “Gangnam Style” has achieved more than twice this figure in just three months on YouTube. PSY – your certificate is waiting here at our office, come pick it up any time!”
