I have a bunch of AOT OCs for my canonverse fic but my main girlie is Zheng Nüwa (aka Vesper Zheng to everyone outside her immediate friendship circle). This fic isn't published, it's a long-term project of mine, but I do have some snippets (not quite 15 though, but hopefully these quotes give you an idea of who she is). One is from an old one-shot I posted a while back, and the rest I've not yet revealed. The quotes are in no particular order and they are all from various points in the story. They aren't very polished but I am proud of what I have so far and am excited to keep writing and developing Nüwa's characterisation 🥹

1 - "It’s a unique type of grief knowing you’re the last of your kind, isn’t it?"

2 - "This world breeds two kinds: monsters, and those who fall prey to them. I refuse to be the latter."

3 - Her lips quirked with amusement. "Don't delude yourself, Erwin. I'd be a terrible Scout and you know it. I've come to enjoy your presence, but the idea of me willingly putting my life in your hands and trusting in your harebrained schemes is laughable at best. Come on now."

4 - "Levi," she whispered hoarsely, the pads of her fingers lingering at his temple, before reverently moving across his face, tracing his features, committing the sight of him to memory with her hands. "Why couldn’t we be more selfish?"

5 - Nüwa blinked, the image of [REDACTED]'s corpse branded irreversibly into her mind. Her head spun - with grief, with fear, with rage. Bitter, carnal rage that threatened to devour her from within. "Mel," she said, voice sounding distant to her own ringing ears, "would you like to hunt a man with me?"

6 - Gently, she took Levi's trembling hands into hers. "You were never given the chance to be anything other than what everyone else needed you to be. If the world won't give you that chance, then I will."

7 - "I am always walking the line between justice and vengeance. I try to champion the former but ultimately, I crave the latter. It is tiring to carry this anger, but I do not know who I am without it."

8 - "Secrets don't stay secrets for long, especially amongst the nobility." Nüwa smiled, then, but it didn't reach her eyes. She laughed sardonically, and Levi could feel his heart clench. "I've found myself deep in a den of vipers. It's a good thing I fit right in, isn’t it?"

wip wednesday

this aot wip is one that's been put on the back burner for a while, only due to my terrible habit of pausing one wip to start a brand new one!

It's also taken me a while to get the writing vibes perfect considering its theme since I'm returning back to my love of writing (almost nothing but) angst, this time with Levi and the reader.

It will get more light-hearted, I promise!

Thank you for the tag @topaz-carbuncle I don't have much for Ilyana at the moment so I'm going to keep it at ten. But here's a few pieces of dialogue from an enemies to lovers actor au that's been on the back burner for a bit.

1) “What the hell, you’re actually a genius.” Ilyana opens her laptop and starts typing “Levi Ackerman” in the google search bar. The first thing the girls notice when the search results come back is a movie poster starring Erwin Smith as the main role. “Hold up. I’ve never seen this before. Is it possible this is where they met?” She proceeds to click on the cast list and only has to scroll down a tad before she sees his name. “Levi Ackerman as the assassin. Well, I guess we’ve solved the mystery.”

2) It takes her a few moments to register his response; taken aback once again by his attitude towards her. “Wow, so I work up the courage to come all the way up here, to apologize to your rude ass so things don’t necessarily have to be awkward between us for the next ten months and you still insist on being a complete douchebag?”

3)"Okay, no, Ilyana. The next time you see him you’re going to be civil. Swallow your pride and try to smooth things out so it won’t be awkward between us.” Her inner monologue interrupted by the sound of her cell phone ringing on her nightstand. She reaches over to grab it and sees a picture of her best friend light up the screen. “This bitch.”

4) “Oh fuck off, Levi.” She snapped, attempting to stand back up from her recent failure. “I’m going to keep falling on my “shitty” ass just to force you to have to spend extra time with me today. So, buckle up”

5) “Why does it feel like I’ve just joined the circus?”

6) “Wow, you’re charming. I bet you’re really popular with the ladies with that attitude aren’t you?” Ilyana snaps “After you, grumpy.” She moves to the side to let him pass.

7) Ilyanas face wrinkles in disgust “Ugh, please don’t ever call that man a snack ever again"

8) “Stop being ridiculous” Ilyana resumes the video “Im not going to deny he has a nice body, but a nice body doesn’t make up for a sour attitude.”

9) Ilyanas mind goes completely blank. She can feel her heart pounding in her chest. “What’s my next line? Wait, what’s going on? This isn’t in the script” she thinks to herself

10) She finds herself immensely annoyed by him but chooses to apologize anyways. “I’m sorry. I was distracted by something and apparently didn’t hear you coming. Are you apart of the cast, too? I’m Ilyana”

it’s the besties (*^‿^*) !! this beautiful commission by the insanely talented by milkcupie on ig has me in a chokehold, god i love this and them so much :’) a little bit of a ramble: hange and sloane’s friendship means so much to me. when sloane first joined the scout regiment, hange was the first person to befriend her and they’ve been thick as thieves ever since. sloane would happily listen to hange’s rambling on their titan theories, even it went on for hours on end, while hange would be a safe space for sloane to always resort to whenever she needed a shoulder to lean on.  the two understand each other to their core, and have such an unshakeable bond that it makes me sappy every time i think about it. they are two halves of a whole. platonic soulmates. the bestest of friends.  i adore them so much (⋟﹏⋞)
