so yeah i've been a part of this niche tumblr community for years about tiny people interacting with giant people because it makes my brain extremely happy. no i don't know why i'm like this. like what.

Reid is a mostly retired Leviathan. As of now, I don't have a concise list of what duties/ obligations come with being a Leviathan; but whatever they are, Reid hates the "job". Leviathans are some kind of keeper of peace in underwater societies, and Reid just no longer has the godly stamina that a Leviathan should have.

He spends most of his time on land in a little beach town. Because he is still technically serving as a Leviathan, he is provided with a handler/ manager. Reid's accompanied by Jeremiah (not pictured), a young adult demon that works for the people relying on Reid's protection. The two of them actually end up becoming quite close. Reid secretly puts up with the work and delays cutting ties so that Jeremiah can stay around for as long as possible.

Stoic, Loyal, Dry Humor, Irritable, Protective, Jealous, Funny, Caring

He enjoys a peaceful life among humans for a couple centuries, occasionally reporting for service when needed. He blends in and doesn't raise any suspicion from the humans. Things get more complicated when a couple of humans come to town with the intention of contacting the local Leviathan for some reason.

I like to think Reid thinks he's hot shit but he's a little too much of a pushover sometimes. Even the local leviathan has troubles standing up for himself... Luckily, he has his little fairy/ human girlfriend to help motivate him to be better for himself.

In the meantime, he'll just have to fake it til he makes it. Trying to be threatening is a sort of selfcare lmao

I also wanted to try designing an outfit for him that isn't just casual human clothes. I feel like he needs something to wear when serving the merfolk he's been tasked with defending.

Reid intentionally being cringy and annoying to try and embarrass Marnie. This works on her both in public and private. It doesn't matter the context, he'll always find something funny to say. Bonus points if he can do it deadpan.

A personal favorite of his is shopping together in their human forms and Reid casually mentions how big he is. The more he can make it sound like an innuendo, the better. Everyone eavesdropping thinks he's talking about sex but in reality he's speaking fairly literally about how physically large he is in leviathan form.
