okay i was gonna put it in the tags but i started yapping too much. responding to this:

if bakugo ended up with the miraculous of the black cat he would NOT have the same costume as chat noir. one of my pet peeves abt mlb crossover fanart is their idea that the characters would have the same costume when they would NOT ❌️

first of all the miraculous reacts to your internal view of urself/how you want to be seen, and bakugo wouldn't be caught DEAD wearing a bell around his neck like that. the cat ears might stay, but plagg would manage to alter them enough that bakugo would tolerate them at first, and eventually warm up to them thinking they're cool. maybe by having them all tattered up or something

secondly, bakugo and adrien are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE. they are like polar opposites of each other, there is no way black cat!bakugo would need a coatume even remotely similar to chat noir's. adrien uses chat noir as an escape from being the perfect, straight-a, multilingual, piano-playing, fencing supermodel his father and practically the whole world wants him to be.

chat noir is a rebellion, freedom, a desperate need to stick out like a sore thumb, rather than a perfectly manicured finger upon the hand of a working man. his costume is dorky and exactly what you'd expect from a young boy who heard "cat hero." ears. a bell. a tail with seemingly a mind of it's own. it is so unrefined and unsuave that no one could ever imagine that the model adrien agreste, son of the most famous fashion designer in paris—no, in the world could be under that mask.

bakugo has never needed that. he's already convinced he's the hottest shit on the planet, so his costume would reflect that. his costume would be loud, attention-drawing. he might not even wear a mask, and be continually annoyed and confused about how no one recognizes him. he'd have big, clunky boots, absolutely no bell, and plagg would probably give him a chipped ear, and he'd think it's the coolest thing while simultaneously having no idea what it means. he'd be loud, and obnoxious, and using cataclysm without a second thought, never once listening to his partner. (who i assume in this au is deku with the ladybug miraculous but that is a post for another time)

so yeah, the reason he looks a little strange and off-putting is because that's not chat noir. but it's also not bakugo. it's a guy being forced to wear clothes that not only he doesn't really like, but they also don't fit him properly. black cat!bakugo would look way different
