This is the really annoying thing about Tumblr, I can reblog a post which I generally agree with - I’ve not seen or heard anything about Neil Gaiman in the mainstream for a while - and I get a ‘well actually’ ask that frames it is I’m living in blissful ignorance. I didn’t add anything to the post either, it wasn’t originally posted by me.

I used to see all sorts of praise and endless Good Omens gifsets on my timeline. The fact I don’t anymore means a solid portion of his fanbase stopped or at the very least a wider group of people stopped reblogging them. I daresay they still exist, but there’s been a noticeable drop.

1998 for me, and it was bulletin boards and mailing lists. The first fanfiction that was called fanfiction that I have read was a Sailor Moon one. It was .TXT file written in Notepad and edited with odd paragraphs format to fit the window instead of being just one endless line of text.
