listen i have so many thoughts on the differences between the governing styles brought up by bad, baghera, and gegg in the qsmp debates today so just bear with me okay?

bad is my least favorite of the three. he seems to say numerous times that he wants to simply "get rid of the role of president" and that the government just isn't needed, so they don't need to have it. my problem with this is that the government ALREADY exists. the federation is the one putting on this election, and so by saying you'll just dismantle the role of president and give power to the people, without having any system of keeping power against the government, the federation would be able to simply say "okay we'll just do another election" or even just take easy and total control right there. so i dont think bad's approach would work in anything other than theory because the federation is too unpredictable to assume they would just go along with the idea of no longer having a president (not to mention, leaving the role empty could allow certain people like elquackity to take up the power of the role to "fill the void")

baghera's is my second favorite. her entire idea relies on the concept of a presidential council, with advocates from each language, to ensure that every member of the community is being advocated for. hers is probably the one that would work the best in theory. it allows members of the community to speak up for themselves, and be able to relay it to the federation, likely through baghera herself as she would be taking on the role of president, making her the one to bring the citizen's needs to the federation. the downfall of this plan is the likelihood of the federation to twist baghera's wants and needs, as well as promoting infighting among the council, same as we are seeing with the presidential election itself. this would keep people from trusting baghera, each other, and essentially worsen a lot of the relationships between members of the server because the federation does NOT want what is best for everyone as we've established.

now, gegg. gegg. my favorite approach. anarcho-community. gegg's main approach to the presidential platform is "the federation does not make us feel safe. we are all one (gegg). we need to come up against them as a collective, it is our only chance." gegg's platform heavily relies on the knowledge that the federation cannot be worked with because they are actively harming people already. gegg also knows that they cannot ignore the governing power that the federation has. gegg's concept for president is that all the members need to come together as a collective and not just use it to better create events or things like that, but rather to use the close proximity to the federation the presidential role has and use it to dismantle the system from the inside out. the concept of working with the federation leaves the citizens up for being used like a doormat because the federation would absolutely break the president and citizen's boundaries slowly and slowly over time in order to make the president the federation's puppet, and gegg absolutely knows this. gegg sees through the presidential election as a way to keep the server members from coming together as a collective and going after the federation, just as many members were starting to get more and more frustrated with how they've been treated by the federation. gegg wants to dismantle the systems of government so that bad and baghera's ideas can work because gegg knows that community is the strongest thing they have.

Strangers to Lovers, Assassin x Civilian

Mariana easily gets bored in parties. Despite being with his outgoing friends, he still always seeks the refuge of being by himself for a moment.

His aimless walking lands him to a different party being held from the opposite function hall. A formal one, and he is nowhere near dressed for the occasion.

But he decides, fuck it. Free wine is free wine. If he just entered like he was meant to be there, no one would notice.

No one did for a while.

Until someone approached him.

American, sharply-dressed in a bespoke suit.

“You’re not from here, are you?”

Mariana nervously laughs. “Is it obvious?” His lack of confidence for speaking English probably doesn’t help his case.

He was ready to apologize profusely and let himself out. But the handsome stranger only laughs.

“Maybe a little. You’ve been staring at this painting for the past fifteen minutes. I’m trying to figure out what’s so interesting about it.” His tone is surprisingly playful.

The painting is an abstract bullshit.

But more importantly, “You are watching me?”

“I’ve never seen you before.” admits the stranger. “I would’ve recognized you if I had.”

Mariana hums, he senses the flirty undertone. Well, he could work with flirting. “Really?”

The man only smiles warmly before extending his hand. “I’m Charlie.”

From the moment they exchanged their names, something sparked between them. Mariana is immediately enamored and he never wants the night to end.

Unfortunately, when they somehow also end up exchanging a kiss by the balcony, Charlie’s demeanor suddenly changes when they pull away. It’s like he snapped out of the love bubble that they were in all of a sudden.

“You should go home.” He says. “Don’t stay here any longer. Go home.” The urgency in his voice sounded way too serious. Mariana can’t help but follow.

Mariana almost thought he dreamed the whole thing once he woke up the following morning. His roommate talks his ear off about Quackity while cooking breakfast, but his thoughts were filled with Charlie and the abrupt end to their love story.

He was ready to vent his frustrations to Roier and tell him where he has been last night but then the color drains from his face, he sobers up quickly and blood runs cold in his veins.

On the television, broadcasts a news that’s far too morbid this early in the morning.

All attendees of a formal gala were killed, swiftly poisoned. No traces of a suspect.

The reporter was at the scene of the crime. Behind her, is the shitty abstract painting.

College Sports AU for Slimeriana.

Two universities are brutal rivals and as a result, they are wildly competitive with one another. Academics, sports teams, overall school standings, You name it. Their wild animosity is pretty well known in both campuses, it’s pretty much impossible to see a student of either schools to get along.

Mariana is a prized player of a Spanish-speaking college basketball team. A rookie but a fucking good one. Everyone loves him!

Then, there’s Charlie. He wears the rival team’s mascot costume. Some green slime monster abomination but also furry thingy that don’t really fucking make sense. It’s technically a role no one is willing to take, but hey, someone has to do it.

The biggest game between the two schools lands both of them at odds against each other. Because while Charlie in his big mascot costume was making his way to his side of the court, Mariana’s teammates tripped him over or would push him. And in retaliation, Charlie makes sure to be more aggressive in taunting them during the team introduction.

Obviously, Mariana and Charlie don’t know each other. But the rivalry of their schools has been imprinted in their heads, that when they somehow cross paths, they’re both apprehensive of each other.

It’s an embarrassing and unfortunate encounter.

Charlie is by the vending machine and guess what? He got his costume-clad hand stuck on the pick-up compartment and Mariana needed a drink.

It’s super awkward. Charlie thought Mariana was there to pick on him while Mariana thought Charlie was intentionally blocking the machine. They’re both bracing themselves and anticipating what the other might do.

But they can’t wait forever.

They both explode with their disclaimers at the same time.

“Look, man. I don’t want to fight. My hand just got stuck, okay?”

“Solo necesito una—uh, energy drink. I don’t want to fight.”

They both relaxed. When they both realize how lucky they are to have run into each other, they share a laugh, finding their situation to be ridiculous.

Charlie explains how he got stuck and didn’t think his hand would be too big for the compartment and Mariana is actually helping him.

Charlie pays for his energy drink in gratitude before removing his mascot head, sheepishly mentioning how he literally cannot breathe with that thing on for too long. Mariana thinks he should be worried and ask if he’s okay but woah, cute guy alert!

Unfortunately, they can’t be alone forever either. Charlie hears Mariana’s teammates entering the hall and before Mariana could even ask for his name, he runs away, ridiculously waddling in that bright green mascot costume.

Not all hope is lost though.

On the floor, Charlie leaves behind his wallet.

Au where Charlie breaks out of the simulation for real and realizes the wire monster was never actually killing him so he just... gets up

It looks like the monster accidentally (maybe not?) snapped a wire when it pounced on him, and whatever signal was being sent to his brain has ceased. Removing what doesn't seem to actually go into him (as those would definitely be dangerous to remove) Charlie remembered watching Ranboo go through the exit door that sat across the room. This is bad, no way that was actually an exit if his perception was still being distorted.

Reaching the "exit", the blood drops (that oh god, is definitely Ranboo's) leave a sparse trail down the highly ominous hallway the spans out before him. Carefully, quietly, Charlie makes his way down the hall. It looks like this was once a back hallway for maintenance with doors marked with signs that designated them as storage rooms. Much Charlies both dismay and slight relief the blood trail leads into a door that's been left slightly ajar. He can hear Hetch's voice coming from within, but it sounds like a speaker meaning as usual, Hetch has removed himself of the actual scene of the crime. He pokes his head in as far as he dare and...

"The audience... has voted... for you to die."

Clunk

The sound rings in Charlie's ears despite its short, quiet nature. He doesn't know how long he stands there, staring at it, at them. Ranboo, his friend, blood pouring from the box where their head used to be (maybe still is, god I hope it still is).

Maybe he stood there for only a minute, maybe a few, maybe even an hour. Things could finally, truly get better, no tricks no audience no nothing, but there the corpse of his friend was, crucified for the entertainment of the audience.

Tap tap tap tap Before he can think about what he's doing Charlie runs towards Ranboo's blood soaked corpse, tears streaming down his face.

"Ranboo! Ranboo come on man we're getting you out of here! I just... I just..."

He looks wildly around for something, anything to get the chains off of him.

There! Boxes and tools and props packed into a corner.

Maybe they're planted, maybe this is still part of the show, Charlie doesn't care, he just gets up and sprints towards it.

He rummages through the stuff, props from previous episodes (his only memories) thrown aside as he does so.

Eventually he finds something in a box full of chains and rope and zip ties and tools for attaching them to people, bolt cutters.

He snatches them up so fast he scratches his hand on some of the sharp edges inside the box but his brain has no time to process the pain.

Before he even realizes he's up and moving again he's in front of Ranboo, getting the bolt cutters in position and...

Ranboo collapses onto Charlie who just barely manages to brace himself as his brain realizes what breaking Ranboo free meant. As gently as he could, he lowered Ranboo to the ground, the box refusing to move or slip from their head.

The tears that had slowed down during the short time he had been preoccupied resumed their previous rate. Large, heavy tears poured from his eyes and dripped onto Ranboo's jacket. Despite their quantity and size, they did nothing to wash away the blood.

"Hey... hey c-come on man... it's going to be ok... we'll get out for... for real this time. We'll see the... the sun! We'll see the sun Ranboo! Don't... don't you want to see the sun...?"

The feeling of warm blood saturating his pants through to his legs was the only response he got (Won't be warm much longer).

"Ranboo... Ranboo come on... you can't be dead... please..."

He didn't know why he was pleading. He watched the box snap over his head, the blood cascade down and now pool around his knees. Maybe it was one of the wires he couldn't remove still convincing him that death wasn't real. Maybe he just desperately wanted to not be alone. Maybe both.

Silence filled the room, only occasionally being broken by the sobs Charlie couldn't keep in. No one was going to answer his cries for help. He was alone.

Royalty AU for Slimeriana.

The Crown series inspired.

Mariana is a prince, soon-to-be heir who needs to marry to become the king and ruler. Five bachelors are selected by the council to stay with him in the castle for a month, an opportunity to get to know them and by the end of it, he gets to choose his partner.

Here’s the thing, the council personally handpicked four people to be either royalties or rich merchants with power, and one contestant is meant to be an ordinary man/woman without any influence to appeal to the low-middle class public and appear like the crown has humility for the kingdom in all walks of life.

Let’s say this whole process was an old pact that has been bastardized over the years and it just became more favorable to the people in positions of power but hey, at least they’re not homophobic lmaooooo

The bachelors can be anyone. It can be Foolish, a prince from a powerful kingdom, an obvious pick and a favorite by the council. Cellbit who is the son of a rich merchant, who in the end fell in love with the Prince’s right hand man instead.

Charlie is the one contestant who came from a poor family, fuck it, he doesn’t even have a family. He was an orphan and the only reason he signed up was because he lost a bet from Wilbur and Wilbur thought it’d be funny. It’s not like he was getting chosen as the token poor contestant anyway.

Well… three days later, he receives an invitation from the council.

No lowlife has ever won the heart of the prince/princess. Charlie is pretty self-aware that the whole system is rigged against someone like him and he wasn’t expecting to win or is there to win Mariana’s heart anyway. He might just as well enjoy the fancy living until he gets sent home.

But… Things don’t go according to plan.

Somehow, in some way, Prince Mariana takes interest in him. And for a while, Charlie sees it as pity and nothing more. Because what does he have to offer that the four other men don’t already have? He even lets Mariana know that he was on my there for a bet, that he doesn’t even want to get married.

Still, for that reason, Mariana keeps him around. And they get to know each other more and more. And Charlie slowly lets his guard down. They become close and his opinions about not wanting to get married felt like ages ago. And soon enough, Charlie has also fallen in love with the prince.

This poses a huge problem to the council because it sparks an interest and even an inspiration to the rest of the public to vote more for Charlie.

Let’s say choosing the prince/princess’ spouse is split from: the council = 30%, the public = 30% and the prince/princess = 40%.

And Charlie is climbing the ranks, winning the public’s favor unintentionally.

So, imagine the council doing everything in their power to rig the votes against him. They expose his past to sway the public, twist and make up stories like how Wilbur is secretly his boyfriend and he’s only marrying into royalty to sway Mariana, etc etc.

But through all the trials and tribulations, Charlie and Mariana gets married and live happily ever after! :D
