they'd both been busy. going back and forth between their schedules and juggling lessons at the company, jinyoung was more than happy when he found a moment to actually pick his brother up from a long day at filming to take him out for a well deserved dinner. hearing the news of him scoring several opportunities along with an actual ambassadorship for acne studios, a huge meal to celebrate was long overdue.

so he waits, leaning against his car, knowing that people recognize him despite his mask as they stand a little ways away to take pictures and most likely write online how amazing it was to see him pick up his older brother. he just hoped jinseo would show up before any of them got the courage to walk up and try to start a conversation. he truly didn't feel like putting on a face right now for fans and just wanted to have a nice evening with his older brother for once.

jinyoung loves when jaehwa has to concede to his argumentation. he's not so much bothered about being wrong or right, it's simply the endearing way she admits defeat that makes him pick her up and squish her. perhaps he should be concerned how simply in love with this woman he is but as of now he truly can't find himself wanting to spend a thought on that.

"chef kim will do his best to cook his beloved a wonderful chuseok meal then," he responds getting his needed ingredients from the fridge, towel still around his neck, shirt still abandoned in the bathroom, left forgotten to be put on. no one could blame him for having a one track mind when it came to jaehwa, right?

"I know I do say it a lot but I need you to know that I truly do love you, princess," he responds to her insistence of not having spend the holidays alone, a fond smile sent her way before he tends to the meat. "I'm glad I made a fool out of myself all those years ago to ask you out on a date."

to have his girlfriend on his channel may have been a risky idea but he'd just been happy to have a chance to finally show a few sides of her personality that jinyoung personally was so vividly in love with, he wanted other people to witness them as well. so having them do a challenge together would definitely end up as hilarious as it would be wholesome.

as long as he kept his hands to himself and watched his words he knew they'd be fine. it wasn't like he didn't know how to act in front of a camera- it's not like she didn't know how to act in front of a camera. they were professionals after all, both of them and if they'd been able to hide their relationship for plus 3 years, he was sure they could hide it for however long they needed or wanted to.

"so you think you could do crystallis concept too?" a cheeky grin on his lips, he simply had to throw the curveball at her, the opportunity too good to let it go. should something weird come out of this, the editors could always cut it out. however he was confident that sori could take the question in stride.

"I did do a bit of research and I did actually know about that! Which is why it only felt fair to pick this as our challenge," he reveals with a gentle smile. he felt it was fair ground to start a challenge on ground where sori had the best chances to win. it also would be a nice way to show her fans a side to herself she'd probably otherwise not have the chance to really show. unless the sports events came back for idols. "I'm definitely more of a gym guy but I do run on the treadmill for cardio exercises sometimes, ye. I haven't really measured my time since high school though," he admits sheepishly.

jinyoung smiles. obviously elated to hear that jaehwa's mother was so font of him. he was grateful. at least her parents were great people unlike his own status hungry excuse of parents. "I'm sure that's not true. she wouldn't be doting on me so much if she thought that way," he argues back, pressing another gentle peck to her temple.

"do you want to cook a main dish to go with these then," he proposes. "I can cook for us if you want. we should have some ingredients left to make skewers or beef soup," he thinks out aloud, letting go of her to walk back to check the fridge. "we can have a cozy chuseok dinner then. just us two. unless you already ate yourself silly at your parents' place," he remarks, very much happy to adjust his plants to accommodate the unexpected but welcome guest.

Not one to back down from paying up but also not one to pick a fight, Jinyoung gave in easily and let Sojin have his way with a chuckle and a good-natured push. The high regard Sojin held him in left him slightly flustered, considering Jinyoung felt like he definitely hadn't worked hard enough to deserve this kind of praise and idolization.

He supposed it wasn't very out of the usual though. Perhaps this line of work had humbled him a bit after all. His parents should be thankful, truly.

"Well, thanks man. I won't fight you on that if you insist," he reassures with a chuckle, letting his hands disappear into his pockets as they get walking back to the company. "I've been trying to think what tips to give you. I guess I just don't see myself that much in a senior position to feel entitled to give you advice. I can tell you what the coaches told me and what worked for me as a model so far," he offers, taking a moment to think.

"I suppose the best advice I could give you is to forget about cameras and lose yourself in your role and the situation. Don't perceive yourself as Sojin, the aspiring talent in the entertainment industry but the role you have for the spot to just be some dude wearing uncomfortable clothes who tries to have a good gym sesh with his bestie."

the veil covering the lower part of her face left jinyoung to discard his original idea of being deceived by a shadow illusion. why would she conceal her identity if she had been planing to fool him from the start after all.

"where else should I start looking then in your opinion?" the question is more rhetorical because he'd already been successful in his search after all. how could he have known she'd end up a thief trying to rob him off his money in this realm? napping close to the location promising riches and treasures seemed to have been the right decision to make. perhaps another twist of fate playing in his favor.

"perhaps I've already been successful in my search? how do you know i'm alone?" another rhetorical question since she was the person he'd been looking for. his eyes remain calm, expression relaxed, the twist to his lips as he smiles at her curiously genuine.

"In height maybe," he responds in jest, the grin widening further over his lips. he wasn't sure if he truly had matured much since his brother left. the only thing was the mask of illusion being ripped off bit by bit. jinyoung had never liked his grandfather to begin with. when he found out all the stuff that his family had going on beneath their polished surface he knew why.

if anything, he wished they had sent him with jinseo.

"do you believe in visions?" it's not a direct answer but it's the closest to a response he was going to start with. "I see visions... from an alternate life I guess," he hums, his thoughts clearly on these visions rather than his brother before him. "I started traveling to look for the female that keeps appearing in them. Perhaps it's... silly but the love I feel just... it feels like I need to find her, you know?"

A mere traveller is what Jinyoung had become, having no direction or purpose beyond touring the world in search of a vision that he may never find. What he happens to stumble upon the moment he was pulled into this pocket realm is his very own brother whom his parents had sworn out of existence. Funnily enough Jinyoung thought they'd praise his older sibling for achieving the same things they were aiming for. Even if his means were... questionable. It had never been any of Jinyoung's concern at the end of the day.

So he regards his brother with a lazy smile, actually not upset about having met the older male. "It's good to see you well, hyung," he offers as an opener, his arms crossed in front of him in a relaxed manner. He wasn't intend to fight or fiend his brother, no matter what his parents said.

he grins, happy to have teased the curiosity out of her. he nods along for now, keeping the suspense to reveal his mbti and instead following up on them talking about places to visit. "oh yes, i'd love to have more places to go. I do know my way well around kyoto for the most part and osaka too, I'd say. we traveled a lot while I was there so I got to get to know both cities well. it's been a while though so maybe things changed? I'd love to see what other people say though, yeah."

"to get back to your question though, emi- what do YOU think is my mbti? you know the I part now after all. so only 3 letters left," he asks in jest, a grin on his lips.

her timing was impeccable. he'd just showered and was getting ready to figure out what to have for dinner when her sweet voice interrupted his browsing through the various food delivery apps he had on his phone.

a smile on his lips he welcomed her easily. phone immediately placed on the table, his full attention was on her as she strode into his apartment. "well what forms of payment do you accept," he questions with a teasing undertone, moving to help her with all the tupperware containers and set them down carefully, he presses a kiss to her temple, leaving the towel previously around his neck on a stool by the counter.

"I could have guessed you wouldn't let me get away with being a homebody on chuseok."
