the way jack spent his first episode like the little cartoon bird asking ‘are you my father?’ and flat-out said castiel was his father but when castiel came back jack only references cas as his father to others and furthermore cas only references jack as his son to others so jack never calls cas ‘dad/father’ to his face and cas never calls jack ‘son’ to his face and i just don’t understand why this show hated its fanbase so much that they wouldn’t even give us innocuous things they themselves set up i am flipping tables
