I used this calculator to evaluate my own environmental footprint and I'm surveying the students at my school. Will post results as soon as I have them

Living Sustainably Week 3
This is the last week of my sustainability lifestyle project. The goals for this week were about the same as the goals from the previous weeks. The only goals added were an addition to electricity consumption which was that I would turn down my thermostat to save electricity. The last addition to the project including not buying bottled drinks and to get water from the tap. I would say that during the week, these goals worked out pretty successfully. In my room, there is a thermos state although it is not very precise, this is because it does not display the temperature but it displays five different levels. 1 being very cold, 2 being cold, 3 being average temperature, 4 being warm and 5 being hot. I had mine originally at 4. Throughout the week, I turned down the thermostats from 4-3 which was not all that bad, then 3 - 2 which made the room feel quite cold because it is winter. I came to the conclusion that the thermostats should stay at 3 which is where it stayed from Tuesday onwards. As for not buying bottled drinks, I did not have a water bottle so it was a bit tough and the school water fountains are designed to fill up water bottles and not to drink from them. It was a bit difficult until I found a plastic water bottle that I could just keep reusing. As for the other goals they went as smoothly as they did in the past two weeks although the roads water lines that burst were still not fixed so I ended up taking the train until Tuesday.

Living Sustainably Week 2
This week, the goal I had set were the same as last weeks but I had included a few more, these new goals included reducing my electricity use through turning off lights when I’m not using them and recycling. Keeping the electricity usage low was not too challenging as I was mainly in my room whenever I was at home and the only lights I had turned on were the ones in my room. The challenging bit was to get the rest of my family to turn off there light as whenever I left the house for school, mostly all the lights were on. To deal with this challenge, I just kept reminding them over and over again until they remembered. As for recycling, I had not had too much experience with it as I was not directly involved in it previously. I organized a routine that every two days, I would recycle the glass, plastic, food, tin and paper because the recycling bins were not usually full everyday. Looking at all the other goals, they went reasonably well, I usually ate what I had previously eaten the previous week and I would occasionally try out something new. As for water consumption I added a part to it where I had to conserve tap water and use it effectively. Now that it has been the second week, all the goals I had done last week, I felt a bit more comfortable doing this week. On Thursday, the roads water lines flooded the streets in my neighbourhood causing all the busing running through to close. This caused me to take the train for the rest of the week.

Living Sustainably Week 1
I am doing a school project about sustainability where for three weeks, I will be living sustainably and recording my experiences weekly. This week, the goal I had set where to Eat Vegetarian Food, Reduce water consumption through shorter shower times, take the bus halfway to school then walk to school from there. During the week, eating vegetarian was not a surprise to me as I usually had a vegetarian-friendly breakfast followed by vegetarian school food. Dinner, however, I had not had much experience with vegetarian dinners. Most of the time, since my mom worked at a school, she would bring home vegetarian dinner to eat which really helped. For my water consumption, I started off with changing my shower time to 8 minutes on Monday at 10 minutes was my average shower time. Every day, I ramped it down by 2 minutes until Thursday where I stopped at 5 minutes. This was the one activity I did this week that I had not done before. Lastly, I took the bus halfway to school and walked the other half to school. This was a bit tricky when trying to get to school on time for the first few days but eventually, it feels normal. This was not completely new to me as earlier about a month ago, my school had done a walk to school day where I walked from that same bus stop to school.
