Heartbeat...
***Inspiration struck today because for SOME reason country music has me feelin some type of way…so enjoy. Song inspiration is “Heartbeat” by Carrie Underwood…***
Liam watched as she moved effortlessly around the party they were at. He loved watching her when they were out together. She was just so natural with people…there was nothing fake about her. She was the realest person he’d ever met in his life and he was so thankful that he got to call her his. He gave her a soft smile as she made her way back over to him.
The loudness of the room only allowed him to read the “hey baby” on her lips and he fought the urge to scowl because he loved the sound of her voice. It soothed him on his most turbulent days. For some reason, he found himself needing that tonight. It’s not that he was feeling out of sorts, really. He felt perfectly fine. And on most nights, being in a crowded room sipping red wine and cocktails would be right up his alley. Tonight it just wasn’t cutting it for him, though.
He cocked his head to the side and studied her face that was looking up at him with concern and confusion. He gave her a half smile before setting his drink down and taking her hand in his and nodding toward the door. The smile spread completely across his face when she gave a slight nod in agreement. He pulled her out of the party and handed his ticket to the valet to have them bring his car around. No words were spoke between them as he hugged her to him and kissed the top of her head. A moment later his car was in front of them and he quickly ushered her in before getting into the drivers side and pulling out of the parking lot. They drove in silence for a few minute before she spoke for the first time.
“Li? Are you okay?” she asked softly taking his hand.
“Fine, babe. Why d’you ask?” he replied glancing over at her.
“We just left a party you insisted we go to and now you’re driving out of London? Where are we going?” she asked watching the signs pass.
“I just felt like getting out of the city for a while. Just us. I just want you to myself tonight.” Liam said quietly.
“Liam…” she said holding his hand tighter. “I’m always yours.”
“I know…but it’s like I want to drive so far from everything that we can’t even get a radio station. Away from everything….the noise…the people…” he said.
“Well, you know I’m from the country so I won’t complain.” she said settling into the seat as they drove out of the city.
Liam looked over at her a bit later and his breath hitched in his throat at her beauty in the light of the moon. They were so far from the city lights at this point that the only light in the car was a mixture of the the moon filtering through the windscreen and the dash lights. The windows were down and her hair was whipping around and he couldn’t help but think she almost looked angelic. He needed to hold her…to feel her body pressed to his and feel her heart beating against his.
“Where are you going?” she asked as he pulled off to the side of the road. There was a small farm set far back from the road…but Liam really just needed use of their field for a bit.
“Just looked like a good place to stop” Liam said as he got out and walked around to her side. He took her hand to help her out of the car and laughed as she took her heels off and tossed them into the floorboard before they started walking into the field.
“No point in trying to walk through a field with those on. What?” she asked when she noticed him staring at her. “Do I have something on my face?”
“No.” he said laughing. “I just can’t believe how beautiful you look in nothing but moonlight.”
“Liam…” she said blushing.
“Come here,” he said pulling her to him. “Let’s dance.”
“There’s no music.”
“Sure there is.” Liam said. “Just c’mere….listen to my heart.”
She sighed as he pulled her close and she laid her head against his chest. His heartbeat provided a perfect rhythm to lull her into a peaceful state and she smiled.
“Stand on my toes.” he said.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t want to step on your toes since you don’t have shoes on.” Liam reasoned. He smiled as she gingerly stood on the toes of his shoes. “See? Much better.” he said as he held her tightly to him and began to sway with her. He was struck by the simplicity of the moment and how much it meant to him to be here with her like this. No one else around. Nothing but the sound of crickets and a stream surrounding them. The moon was full and it cast a perfect spotlight on them as they moved together. He pulled her tighter against his body and she looked up at him.
“I love you.” she said softly as she reached up to run her hand over his cheek.
“I love you too.” Liam said leaning in and kissing her softly. “Thank you.”
“Why are you thanking me?” she asked as he leaned his forehead against hers.
“For indulging me tonight. Coming out here to the middle of nowhere with me just because I needed to get away.” he said.
“You never have to thank me baby.” she said. “You know I love it just being the two of us.”
“Do you want to go back now?” Liam asked.
“No.” she said. “Let’s stay longer. I’m enjoying this. And as it turns out, your heartbeat is proving some really nice music to dance to.”
Liam smiled before kissing her softly. He sighed contentedly as she laid her head on his shoulder and they began to sway again to the music their own hearts were providing in the otherwise quiet night.

See that little hip roll? See it????
Imagine being at the same club as him.
Imagine you’re dancing with your friends, having a good time and you notice him watching you across the room…but tonight wasn’t about guys. Tonight was about forgetting about them because of some asshole who broke your heart. And you’d succeeded, thanks to the alcohol that had been flowing since you guys had arrived. But now you knew you had his attention…and you would be lying if you said it didn’t turn you on to see the way his tongue darted out to wet his lips with every roll of your hips. And you make sure you don’t let him know that you know he’s watching as you run your hands over your hips, turning to give him a view of your ass (which you knew looked spectacular in the dress you were wearing) as you continue to laugh and dance with your friends.
To your disappointment, when you turn around he’s gone. And you subtly keep scanning the floor of the club trying to see if you can find him because, if you’re honest, him watching you had made you feel more alive and turned on than that ignorant asshole who broke your heart had with his hands. And you finally give up on finding him, turning your full attention back to your friends, unable to shake the little bit of sadness that creeps in over a guy you don’t even know.
You jump a little when you feel a pair of hands on your hips and you KNOW who it is. You rock back against him, his grip on your hips tightening when he realizes you aren’t going to push him away. He leaned in, pressing his lips to your ear and you bit back a moan just from feeling his mouth against you like that. Your hand instinctively reaches up, grabbing the back of his neck as he begins to place sucking kisses right under your ear.
The only words you hear from him is a command…telling you to roll your hips like you were earlier. And as you do, his match yours and you feel his obvious hardness against your ass. His hands begin to roam down over your thighs and back up over your stomach and then ghost over your breasts before returning to their place on your hips.
You don’t know what to do at this point because though you’ve never been the one night stand kind of girl…he’s making you desperate for it. As if he can sense that, he grabs your hand and pulls you off the dance floor and into a back room of the club. He pins your body between him and some shelves before leaning in and devouring your lips in a kiss that’s so scorching that you feel like you could pass out. When he pulls back, his eyes are dark with lust and he runs his thumb over your lips while he studies your face closely. He leans in, nipping at your neck this time before he moves his lips to your earlobe, nibbling on it before whispering in your ear that you can leave if you’d like…but the truth is that you don’t want to. You shake your head at him, scared your voice will betray you if you try to speak, before pulling his lips onto your again.
The two of you continue with heated kisses and desperate touches for a few moments…and as his hand began to move up your inner thigh under your dress, someone barged into the back room making the two of you jump apart. He pulled you behind a stack of boxes, attaching his lips to yours again to keep you quiet until he heard the door to the back room shut again. He pulls back to look at you and whispers that he really would like to take you back to his…that the things he wants to do to you right now can’t be properly accomplished with your current surroundings.
And you’re torn for a moment. Because you’re not that girl. But maybe you should be? Maybe this would help you get over the asshole. And as you look up at him, he’s biting his lip and all of your convictions fly out the window as you nod your agreement.
And you know…you know you’re not going to be anything to him other than one night. You know it. But you can’t make yourself care as he leads you out of a side door and into the cold night air. Because really, all you want right now is his lips on yours again.
He opens the back door of a black SUV for you and you climb in and as if he heard your silent wish a moment ago, his lips attach to yours once again.
And it makes you forget.
Forget everything.
That’s what this night was about anyway, right?

Liam Anon Prompt: G. At a wishing fountain...
(Note: Are a wishing fountain and a wishing well the same? We'll say they are... lol)
Disney World was one of your favorite places in the world. It had been that way since you were a child. You could remember feeling so overwhelmed by the beauty of Cinderella's Castle the very first time you saw it and to this day, you still got a little emotional when you walked into Magic Kingdom and saw it waiting at the end of Main Street.
Liam had been endeared by that part of you since the two of you had met. You'd been together for almost three years now and one of his favorite memories of your time together was your first trip to Disney World together. He loved that you, like him, turned into a child as soon as you entered the gates.
It had quickly become a yearly anniversary trip for the two of you and Liam couldn't help but smile as he looked out of the window of your hotel room that overlooked Magic Kingdom. Your third anniversary was today...and the two of you were spending the day in the park he was staring at. Liam had a feeling the day would be even more magical than usual...and while he was excited, he was feeling a bit anxious, as well.
"Liam, come on!" you said excitedly after putting your shoes on. "Let's go!"
"Sorry babe." Liam said smiling at you as you bounced on the balls of your feet.
"We still have to eat breakfast and I want to get there to see the park opening." you said grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the room.
"I absolutely love it when it's Magic Kingdom day. You just cannot contain yourself." he said laughing.
"I can't help it." you said giving him a small pout.
"I know you can't. One of the things I love about you." Liam said. "Oh...we're not eating breakfast here, babe..."
You stopped and turned to look at him. "Where are we eating?"
"I think this will explain." he said pulling an envelope out of his back pocket.
"What's this?" you asked as he handed it to you.
"Just read it." Liam said laughing.
You carefully opened the envelope and your eyes widened when you saw a piece of paper that you could tell Liam had made himself (or had someone make for him...) inviting you to eat breakfast at the castle. "Liam..." you said looking up at him.
"Happy anniversary, babe." he said smiling at you.
"You are the sweetest boy in the world." you said as you jumped into his arms. "I love you...thank you."
"I love you, too." he said giving you a light kiss. "Now, come on...can't have my princess be late to breakfast with the other princesses."
***
After a lovely breakfast that included many selfies of you and Liam with all of the princesses, the two of you had wandered the park. It was now early afternoon and you'd found yourself back at the castle trying to find a place to just rest for a moment.
"Look babe...it's Cinderella's wishing well. We have to make our wishes."
You smiled at the memory...it was something you'd told Liam you'd done every time you'd come to Disney and he'd continued to do it with you. "Well, we can't break tradition." you said as he took your hand and led you over to the fountain.
"Do you want to go first?" Liam asked.
"No. You go. I need to think of a wish...I have to make it a good one." you said as you pulled two coins out of your handbag and handed one to him.
"Of course." he said laughing. He closed his eyes tightly and took a moment before tossing the coin into the well.
"You must've had yours prepared." you said nudging him with your shoulder.
"I may have had something thought up..." Liam said shrugging. "Go on. Your turn."
"Okay." you said taking a deep breath and closing your eyes. You internally recited your wish at least three times and tossed the coin into the well. When you opened your eyes, you couldn't help but gasp when you looked next to you and Liam was on one knee. "Liam..."
"Babe...we've been together for three years. I can honestly say I've never been more in love or happier in my life. You have turned my life into a fairytale...and I want to do the same for you every day. And I want today to be the start of our forever. Let me be your prince. Marry me?" Liam said. His voice didn't betray how nervous he was and every second that ticked by made him more anxious.
"Liam..." you said again. You weren't sure if you could say more than his name at that moment so you nodded as your tear filled eyes fell on the beautiful ring he was holding.
"Yes?" he asked.
"Yes. Yes, I'll marry you. Yes, you can be my prince. YES!" you said as he slid the ring on your left hand and stood up before pulling you into his arms and kissing you.
"I love you so much, babe." Liam whispered as he rested his forehead against yours.
"I love you, too." you whispered as you ran your hand over his cheek. "And how did you know what I wished for?"
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"I mean I wished that we would be together forever." you said kissing him again.
"And I wished that you'd say yes." Liam said.
"Well this obviously means we have to get married right here." you said.
"Now?" he asked laughing.
"NO...I mean when we do get married. Let's get married right here. Where we got engaged."
"I love that idea." Liam said. "And what is more us than getting married at Disney?"
"I can't think of anything else." you said smiling.
"Now...let's go back to the room. There's a special dress waiting there for you and a very special anniversary dinner planned for tonight. And as it turns out, we'll be celebrating the fact that you agreed to marry me."
"This is all too much Liam...you are honestly just the most amazing man...thank you."
"I just love you, babe." Liam said running his hand over your cheek.
"I love you too." you said giving him one more soft kiss.

Liam Anon Prompt: F. Is for FOOTBALL. You like football, yeah? Teaching him how to throw one properly.
You couldn't contain the giggle that escaped your lips when you saw Liam trying to fit in with your guy friends on the first Saturday of college football season. The two of you had hosted a faux tailgate at your house and everyone had just left after a game that came down to triple overtime and a well placed touchdown by your team.
The tailgating part he had down...drinking and grilling suited him just fine. Tossing the football around? That was a whole other story. You knew his sports "skills" were pretty much shit...you still laughed at him when he attempted to play basketball and did this weird scissor jump whenever he tried to make a shot.
"Everything all cleaned up out here?" you asked as you walked out onto the back deck.
"All clean." Liam said proudly as he picked a football up off the ground. "So what do you think, babe? Am I football star material?"
"Well, you've got the look." you said taking the ball from his hands. "But the skills? Noooo."
"What do you mean?" he asked pouting his full bottom lip out.
"Well...I mean...have you seen yourself throw a football honey?" you asked looking at him sympathetically.
"I'm not that bad." Liam said defensively.
"Okay," you said tossing him the ball," toss it to me."
Liam caught the ball easily and lobbed it in your direction. It wobbled through the air before turning sideways and almost hitting you in the head.
"Sorry." Liam said with a sheepish grin.
"That's what you call 'not that bad'?" you asked staring at him incredulously.
"Well...I mean I know it's not PERFECT...but it's not awful."
"Liam, come here."
"What?" he asked grinning as he walked over to you.
"Hold this." you said handing him the ball. "Not like that...place your fingers between the laces..."
"Like this?" Liam asked as he easily spaced his fingers out.
"Perfect." you said nodding.
"Now what?"
"Okay...I'm going to walk over here." you said moving a good distance from him. "Now, throw the ball...make sure you follow through on the throwing motion and roll it off your fingers. And keep it smooth. You want a nice tight spiral."
"A spiral?" he asked.
"Just do what I told you."
"Fine." Liam said sighing. He grasped the ball before pulling back and tossing the ball. His release was slightly late and the ball wobbled through the air...but it was a decent first attempt.
"Good start. Much better than that last sad attempt." you said laughing.
"I feel like I should be insulted." he said laughing as he easily caught the ball when you threw it back to him.
"Maybe you're more of a wide receiver or tight end than a quarterback..." you said. "You certainly did good catching that."
"I'd only be a quarterback. Seems like my kind of role. The leader." Liam said.
"Control freak..." you said laughing.
"Shut it." he said as he pulled back an threw the ball again. The ball spiraled perfectly through the air and you caught it with a look of shock on your face.
"BABY! YOU DID IT!" you said throwing the ball down and running to him,
"Told you I could do it." Liam said trying to hide his excitement.
"Of course you can. You're perfect." you said throwing your arms around his neck.
"I don't think I'd say perfect..." he said picking you up so you could wrap your legs around his waist.
"I would." you said giving him a soft kiss. "Absolutely perfect...my gorgeous quarterback."
"Does that mean you can be my tight end?" he asked raising his eyebrows suggestively.
"Liam James!" you said laughing.
"Had to try, babe." Liam said laughing.
"Of course you did." you said kissing him again. "But um...just so we're clear?"
"Yeah?" he asked as you unwrapped your legs from his waist and slid down his body.
"I'll play any position for you." you said winking at him before you walked back toward the house.

He hated his job sometimes. Hated that he wasn't with you all the time. Hated that he never seemed to be there when you needed him most. Hated hearing you cry through the phone when he couldn't hold you close to him and kiss away your worries and fears. But he also loved his job. Not as much as he loved you, but a close second. And he loved his fans...even if a good section of them could be judgmental and downright rude from time to time. And he loved traveling and taking you to places you'd never dreamed you'd get to see. Watching your face light up at the smallest details of a city he'd heard you talk about before with a wistful look in your eye made his heart want to burst with happiness. But most of all...he loved you. He loved that you were the first woman in his life to take an interest in him as a person...not as a celebrity. He loved that you much preferred simple date nights at home, curled up on the couch in your pajamas...him with a cocktail, you with a glass of wine...watching a movie and talking. He loved that even though he could buy you anything in the world...you insisted that he didn't. It frustrated him to no end...but he also loved that his lifestyle wasn't about labels or money to you. It was about him. He loved that when he'd return home from a leg of the tour, no matter the time of day, he always walked into the flat to be welcomed with his favorite meal laid out on the dining room table so the two of you could eat together before falling asleep in each other's arms. He loved your body...even though you didn't. You'd always find problem areas to poke and pinch and prod...but he loved you exactly as you were. And he loved that you loved HIS body even when he was going through a phase where he just didn't feel like working out. He could only smile as he thought about the way you tended to want to cuddle him more when he hadn't...claiming he was much more fun to cuddle with when his stomach was a bit 'squishy', as you called it. He loved the mischievous glint you'd get in your eyes out of nowhere...and he knew that meant it was time to play. Sometimes that meant a night full of play fighting and laughter...sometimes it meant a playful night in the bedroom where you lived up to the nickname of 'kitten' that he'd given you. And honestly, while the latter was his favorite...either was fine with him. He loved the way you loved him...completely, recklessly...with all of you. He never doubted that for a minute. And THAT? That meant more to him than anything. You loved him with every shred of your body, mind and soul...and you let him know that every day. He'd never had that before...and he swore to himself that he'd never let it go. Couldn't let it go. You were his. He was yours. Even in the insanity his life produced, those two statements were all that mattered at the end of the day. Because when the screams died down and his fame was flickering...he knew you'd always be there. You'd never leave. And that's all he needed. You were all he needed. Just the two of you against the world. Forever.

"Babe, you’re going to do fine." Liam said sympathetically into his phone as he listened to you cry. "I hate that I’m not there with you right now…but you have no reason to be anxious. You’re going to ace this interview. I know it."
"How can you be so sure?" you asked doubtfully. The interview you were preparing for was literally your dream job…and aside from Liam, was your soul reason for moving to London.
"Because I know how amazing you are and I have enough confidence in you for both of us. You are going to be amazing and you’re going to get that job. Then, when I’m home I’m going to be alone all the time because my amazing girlfriend is going to be so busy."
"You know that would never happen." you responded. "Nothing is more important than you when you’re here."
"I WANT that to happen." Liam said. "I want this job for you so badly, babe. This is what you’ve dreamed of."
"I know…and I’m sorry for being such a basket case."
"No apologies, love." he said. "I just want you to be calm and confident tomorrow. And, I want you to call me as SOON as you get home from the interview."
"I will." you said sighing.
"Think you can get a bit of sleep now?" Liam asked.
"I’m going to try."
"If you can’t sleep, call me back…promise?"
"You’re busy, Li. I don’t want to keep you awake." you said.
"I don’t care if I don’t get any sleep…I’m always here for you. Got it?" Liam said.
"Fine." you said. "I kind of love you, you know."
"I’m fancy you quite a bit, too." he said laughing. "Get some rest, beautiful."
"I’ll try. Thank you for calming me down."
"That’s in the job description for your boyfriend…didn’t you know?" Liam asked.
"Well, you’re quite good at it." you said smiling.
"I try."
"You’re the best, Li."
"I just love you." Liam said softly.
"I love you too." you answered sighing.
"Goodnight, babe."
"Night, Li." you said before hanging up.
****
The next day, you arrived home after your interview checking your phone to see if Liam had responded to your text. Nothing still. You sighed as you tossed your phone in your bag and got out of your car, slamming the car door a little harder than you intended. You felt like you had bombed the interview and were a nervous wreck through the whole thing. You had tried to keep Liam’s words in mind…but your own doubts kept creeping in and overshadowing them. You walked into the flat and tossed your bag on the floor, shedding the heels you’d worn as well.
You were on your way to the bedroom, but you stopped in your tracks when you heard the television playing in the living room…you didn’t even remember turning it on this morning before you left. You stepped into the room to turn it off and your heart almost jumped out of your chest when you saw Liam sitting there.
"Hey babe!" Liam said smiling brightly at you as he got up.
"God, it’s so good to see you!" you said as you ran over to him and jumped into his arms.
"Hey pretty girl." he said holding you tightly. "It’s good to see you too."
"I texted you an hour ago and was worried when I hadn’t heard from you."
"Yeah." Liam said sheepishly. "My phone’s dead. It’s on the charger in the bedroom. I burned the battery on the flight home."
"What are you doing here, anyway?" you asked.
"You were so anxious last night and all I wanted to do is hold you…so, I decided to come home for a couple days." he said leaning in and giving you a soft kiss.
"You’re amazing, Liam Payne." you whispered against his lips.
"I just knew my girl needed me." Liam said giving you another kiss. "Now, sit down and tell me all about the interview."
"There’s not much to tell, Li." you said as he sat down and pulled you into his lap. "I have no idea how it went. I think I sucked."
"I seriously doubt that." he said furrowing his brow.
"You weren’t in there Li. I was a mess. My voice was shaking, I sounded like a child who was pretending to be a grown up."
"But I think your work speaks for itself." Liam said. "And I’m sure they could tell you were nervous."
"I hope so." you said laying your head on his shoulder.
"So," he said, "what do you want to do tonight?"
"Stay here in your arms. When do you have to go back?"
"You get me for a couple nights." Liam said. "I managed to clear things for that long."
"Thank you." you said snuggling deeper into his embrace.
"Anything for you, babe." he said moving you in his arms so he could kiss you softly.
"Are you going to cook me dinner tonight?" you asked smiling at him.
"I can." Liam said. "Is that what you want?"
"I was joking baby. We can order take away."
"I can cook for you." he said. "You know I live to serve you."
"Oh stop it." you said laughing. "You know I do most of the cooking in this house."
"Only because you’re better at it than me." Liam said.
"I love your cooking." you said kissing him. "But, lets just order take away. I’m going to go change clothes…can you order?"
"Of course." he said as you got up. "Want your usual?"
"Of course." you said grabbing your bag and walking toward the bedroom. You had just finished changing when your phone started ringing. You quickly fished it out of your bag and answered when you saw it was the owner of the company you had just interviewed for. "Hello? Yes, this is her. Yeah. Oh. Really? Okay. Yes sir. That’s fine. I completely understand. Thank you. Goodbye."
"Babe, who was that?" Liam asked from the door.
"That was um…the owner of the place I interviewed today." you said quietly.
"And?" he asked walking over to you.
"Looks like our dinner tonight will be a celebration." you said smiling up at him.
"You got it?" Liam asked excitedly.
"I got it." you said throwing your phone down. You squealed when he picked you up in an almost crushing hug and spun you around. "Liam!"
"Sorry babe." he said setting you down. "I told you that you could do it!"
"Yes, you did. Thank you." you said kissing him.
"Don’t thank me, babe. I just love you." Liam said.
"I love you too."
"Come on, then. Let’s go set up a nice romantic table for our take away. Then we’ll have a different kind of celebration." he said raising his eyebrows at you.
"My favorite kind." you said as he pulled you into a kiss.
"Mine too, babe. Congratulations." Liam said pecking your lips one more time before the two of you made your way to the living room.

To say it had been a rough few weeks would be an understatement. You had done your best to continue to put on a fake smile for everyone, but the last few days you had crumbled. Instead of opening up to someone, you had chosen to just shut the world out and spend some time alone. You rolled your eyes and hit mute on your phone as it rang for the tenth time that morning without even looking at the caller ID. You already knew it was either your best friend or your boyfriend. They’d been relentlessly calling since your second day of isolation…Liam even going so far as to stop by and spend ten minutes on your doorstep knocking the night before. And it wasn’t that you didn’t WANT to see him, because you did. You actually needed him more than you needed air right now. But you also knew he was busy…and you weren’t going to bring him down when he already had so much on his shoulders between the recent crap the fans had thrown at him and preparing for a massive stadium tour. You groaned when your phone alerted you that you had a new voicemail and debated whether or not you should listen to it. Against your better judgement, you picked up the phone and hit play. "Babe, it’s me again. I’m really worried about you. You haven’t returned my calls or texts. I’m coming by again tonight after rehearsals. PLEASE answer?" Liam’s voice came through the speaker. He sounded truly concerned and part of you felt terrible for ignoring him. You sighed and deleted the voicemail, putting your phone back on the bedside table and burying yourself in your fluffy comforter once again. **** Liam walked up to the door that night with a new found determination. Unbeknownst to you, your best friend had offered him the extra key to your place she had from when you moved in and he had retrieved it before coming over. He unlocked the door and let himself in his concern growing when he didn’t see you in your usual perch on the couch watching television in the living room. The kitchen was immaculate, not having been touched since you hadn’t really felt like eating, much less cooking…which was another favorite pastime of yours. He made his way to your bedroom, slowly opening the door when he heard you softly crying on the other side of the door. Your back was to him, but he could see your shoulders shaking as you curled deeper into the comforter. He studied you for a minute before walking over to the bed and crawling in and enveloping you in his arms. “Shhhh.” he soothed when you jumped from his embrace. “It’s just me, babe.” "What are you doing here?" you sniffled out. "How did you get in?" "I went and got your spare key." Liam said. "That doesn’t matter right now. Talk to me, babe. Tell me what’s wrong." Without another thought, you turned over to face him and clung to him tightly, burying your face in his neck as you let your tears fall freely now. “Everything is just so messed up and I don’t know how to fix it.” you said, your words barely intelligible through your sobs. "Hey, it’s okay sweetheart." he said stroking your hair. "I’m here and I’ll do whatever I can to help you…to fix it. Just tell me what I can do." "Right now I just need you to hold me." you said clinging to him for dear life. "Okay. If that’s all you need…I’m here. I’m not going anywhere babe." Liam said pressing kisses to your temple and holding you as tightly as he could without hurting you. A half hour later, your sobs had quieted to occasional sniffles and hiccups as you laid with your head on Liam’s chest. You smiled as his hand moved from running up and down your back soothingly to playing with your hair. You slowly raised your head, propping your chin up on his chest to look at him. “Thank you.” you said with a half smile. "Why are you thanking me?" he asked running his thumbs over your cheeks to wipe away the tears that were still present. "For knowing that I needed you even though I kept pushing away. You really are my own superhero, Liam Payne." "Nah. I just knew something was wrong. It’s not like you to close yourself off like you have." Liam said. "What’s wrong, babe? Please talk to me. I’ll do anything for you…you know that." "I know you would. But it’s just…you know how damn independent I can be. And you know that I don’t like putting any more on you than you already have to deal with." you said not able to meet his eyes. "I can handle anything you can give me." he said touching your chin, causing you to look at him. "I need you to trust me." "I do trust you." you said. "Then let’s talk." Liam said. "There’s no problem so big that we can’t work it out together." You sighed, chewing your lip as you considered his words. “Fine.” "When was the last time you ate?" he asked. You shrugged, certain he meant more than a spoonful or two of yougurt when he said “ate”. "Babe, you have to eat." Liam said. "Why don’t you go take a bath…relax for a bit. I’ll go order a pizza and we’ll have dinner when you’re done." "Liam, I’m not really-" you began. "Nope." he said, sitting up with his arms still around you. "You’re eating. Go take a hot bath…I’ll be waiting for you in the living room. Then you’re going to eat and tell me what has been going on that has you like this." "Fine." you grumbled as you got out of bed. "Hey," Liam said getting up and walking over to you. "I love you, you know. You don’t have to hide anything from me, babe. Ever." "I know." you said softly as he enveloped you in a hug. "I love you, too." "Now," he said leaning in and giving you a soft kiss, "go relax and I’ll have our nice romantic pizza dinner set up by the time you’re done." "Thank you." you said again pulling him into another kiss. "Stop thanking me. I’m not doing anything special." Liam said. "Now, go." "Okay, okay." you said finally cracking a smile for the first time in two days. "Hey," you said as he was about to walk out. "Yeah babe?" Liam asked turning to look at you. "I love you Liam James Payne." "I love you too, babe." he said smiling at you before he walked out.

Can you imagine Liam watching his daughter playing with a little boy she’s friends with when she’s maybe 4 or 5 years old. And she’s decided (she’s a bit…determined…when she wants something, just like him) that they’re going to play dress up with all the stuff you guys bought her at Disney World (a trunk full of princess dresses…including Ariel’s wedding dress).
Her little eyes light up when she spots the wedding dress and she turns to her friend and declares that they’re getting married. The little boy isn’t too fussed…he just says okay and shrugs (which is what he always does…Liam can’t help but laugh) as she busies herself making her playroom into a dream wedding of her own making. She even runs around the house taking all the fresh cut flowers you have sitting out to make her bouquet (Liam makes a mental note to break that to you before you see it). Once she’s done, she props a large teddy bear dressed in a tux (a gift she INSISTED she needed) up at the end of the “aisle” she’s created (he’s going to marry them, she tells him) and tells him to stand beside the bear. And she stands at the back of the room for a minute thinking before she looks over at him and smiles…then she walks over and tugs on his hand telling him it’s not a PROPER wedding if her daddy doesn’t walk her down the aisle. He smiles at her and obliges, telling her no bride has ever been quite as pretty as she is…and she giggles and says she’s going to tell you that he said that.
And it makes Liam’s heart ache a bit, if he’s honest. Looking at his little girl in a beautiful princess dress he can’t help but think of the day he’ll actually have to walk her down the aisle and give her hand to someone. He can’t help but get tears in his eyes at the mere thought of it. He smiles at her, trying to push those thoughts out of his head for now…he just wants to focus on the present. Remember every moment of the way she looks right now in her princess wedding dress that’s a little too big with messy curls tumbling around her face and expressive brown eyes looking up at him as they walk down the “aisle” together. And when they get to the end of the aisle, he kneels down beside her and tells her again how beautiful she is and kisses her little cheek and tells her she’ll always be her daddy’s princess before he allows her to take her place next to her “husband” in front of her giant teddy bear.

Imagine that you’ve been super exhausted after coming home with you and Liam’s second child (a handsome little boy who looks just like his daddy) and it’s been 3 months since he was born and while you’re adjusting, you can’t help but be tired taking care of a newborn and your 2 year old little girl. And Liam knows this…he does what he can to help. He’s been out of town for a week though, and he knows you haven’t gotten much sleep.
So on his first morning home, he decides to give you a break. He’s up early with your son, managing to get him fed, bathed, dressed and back to sleep before your daughter tiredly toddles into the living room. She silently crawls into her daddy’s lap and cuddles into him, burying her face in his neck. And after a few minutes of rubbing her back and cuddling her, he asks her if she’d like some breakfast and she gives him a smile and a nod. He kisses her cheek as he stands up, carrying her with him to the kitchen where he sits her on the counter while he cooks. After making her pancakes (she stirred the batter for him), he sits her at the table to eat and he goes and gets your son (who has just woken up from the shortest nap ever) before returning to the dining room table. Your daughter fills him in on all that’s happened while he’s been gone through mouthfuls of pancakes.
And that’s when you walk into the kitchen…and your heart almost bursts with love to see him sitting there taking care of the two perfect little ones the two of you created. After your daughter announces your entrance by yelling a good morning, you walk over to her and are rewarded with a sticky kiss on the cheek. You then move over and bend down to kiss your sons forehead. You stand up, smiling at Liam before you lean in and give him a soft kiss and tell him thank you for letting you sleep in.
And he’d offer to make you breakfast, but you would refuse telling him the least you could do to thank him is make him breakfast. So you would, and as your son cooed in his bouncy chair and your daughter played in the living room, the two of you would have breakfast together while enjoying the sweet little family you had created.

Imagine how cute Liam would be when you were pregnant. He’d think it was the cutest/most fascinating thing in the world.
And he’d constantly be peppering you with questions about how it feels to have a baby inside you. ‘Does it feel funny?’ ‘Does your stomach hurt as the baby grows?’ ‘What’s morning sickness like?’ ‘How does it feel when he/she kicks?’
And at the doctors office, he’d be in the exam room with you asking a million questions…wanting to know exactly what everything the doctor used to examine you was and what everything did….because you know Liam’s just naturally curious like that.
He might even borrow a book from someone on pregnancy (maybe even ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’) and you’d find him in bed one night with the book just after you’d finished taking a bath and he’d just be sitting there slack jawed as he read through all the changes your body has to go through and how long it really takes the baby to be ready to come into this world.
And he seems like the type that would make you lay in bed every night for an hour or so just so he could talk to your belly…telling your future son/daughter how excited he was to meet them and how they were going to have the best life and a mommy and daddy that love them SO much. And then, after he was done dreaming up a million things for you two to do with your child, he’d settle beside you with his hand on your stomach and sing to your belly each night…whatever song he thought was appropriate. And when the baby kicked while he was singing the first time, he’d look up at you with wide brown eyes and an excited smile because nothing could ever mean as much to him as his baby responding to his voice in that way.

Liam strikes me as the type of boyfriend that on your birthday EVERYTHING would be about you from the moment you woke up. I could also see him being the type to find out EXACTLY when you were born so that at that EXACT moment he could tell you happy birthday again and give you your presents.
He’d probably make you breakfast in bed to start the day and then have a full day of stuff planned that he would just KNOW that you’d love. Then, you’d end the day with a nice romantic dinner…perhaps just the two of you at home and a meal he’d have brought in that you’d eat on his balcony. And afterwards you’d slow dance under the stars (with him singing softly in your ear) before he took you to bed to give you his own special birthday presents…

I just imagine being about six months pregnant with you and Liam’s first child (you’ve managed to keep it a secret that it’s a boy…and he’s SO excited about that) and really needing to get a baby registry together because his family wants to throw you a baby shower. And Liam’s protested because he doesn’t feel like people should buy anything for the two of you because you can MORE than afford it all yourself…but, his sisters are INSISTING. You finally convince him that the two of you will buy the high dollar items like cribs/furniture/high chairs/strollers…and let everyone else buy the simpler stuff.
So, on a lazy Saturday, the two of you venture to Babies R Us (after you go out for a big breakfast…at his insistence, not yours) and sign up for your registry. The clerk arms you with those nifty little guns to go scan whatever you want in the store and you’re trying to be practical and scanning things like bottles and pacifiers and monitors and stuff that you know you’ll NEED when the baby is born. NOT LIAM. Nope. He’d wander off and be scanning every piece of Nike and Adidas clothing he could find (including the cutest little pair of Air Jordan’s to ever exist). And every burp cloth that has a cute little boy sports theme. And every bib that says “I love my daddy” on it…because, well…male pride.
And you’d find him thirty minutes later, still in the clothing section…but instead of scanning things he’s filled a cart with all the things he thinks his son will “need” to look good when he comes home. And he’d look at you sheepishly and explain that he couldn’t possibly let other people pick out what his son would be wearing and tell you that you just HAVE to fill the closet with all these things now. And you’d give in because he’s Liam and he’d give you that cute puppy dog pout.
So, you’d buy tons of clothes for Baby Payne and go home and Liam would immediately lay all of the clothes out and take a picture and tweet it announcing to everyone that his first born was going to be a little boy.
