Asking as someone who doesnt care who tops or bottoms in a fictional couple, as long as the relationship dynamic I prefer remains the same

tbh i think we're on the same page here-- there are some pairings where i feel strongly about who tops/bottoms but usually i'm on board if they switch as long as it doesn't seem out of character. i think i mostly reblogged that post out of a sentiment that often when the "wrong character" tops it comes alongside this bizarre angry dom attitude that comes completely out of left field (or, conversely, this passive effeminate attitude for the bottom). idc who is in what physical position as long as you can make it believable at the end of the day.
