not what i thought i'd reblog first (had plans for this blog... well, when i get to it) but honestly, planning the tags take too long so just gonna reblog this

been scrolling through the fics under #natasha romanoff x reader while looking for a certain fic i lost track of, and the amount of dbf or mbf i've seen... shudder.

on one hand, i get it, in terms of people having mommy/daddy kink and what they enjoy reading is their choice. plus, reading doesnt necessarily mean you want it to happen irl.

but on the other, it just feels wrong if i stop to think about it. like the first few times i saw it, i was like oh okay, sure. then aft seeing a few, it was like a record scratch in my brain. like hold up. if the char knew R since young, doesn't that mean that they were (likely) looking at a KID like that? i mean, it might just be me, but someone who i've seen since young, i wouldn't view them in that way just because they're an adult, they'd still be that kid i'd known (though granted, the kids i've seen grow up are my cousins/nephews/nieces and we don't have that big age gap. but still)

end thoughts on this though: let people read what they want and scroll on if you don't want to see/read. this is the world of fiction, where anything can happen. if it isn't harming anyone, then i don't necessarily see the issue. people doing or actually carrying out what they read / being inspired by it is a...headache for another day

Intro

tldr: my way of sorting fics I've read using tags, to find stuff + have summaries to know what I'm jumping into if I reread a fic / others find a fic. If any creators don't like what I'm doing, dm me.

Okay, I kinda doubt people will see this (and I am still working on actually doing it), but if anyone is asking, I'm doing this so that there's a more consistent tagging, at least for my ref

Please note that I am NOT saying authors don't do a good job with tagging or giving warnings. Just understand that this comes from someone who just wants an easier time. There are times I want to know what I'm jumping into: is this going to have a happy ending, because I'm not in the mindspace / have the bandwidth to handle angst or that I want something fluffy and light-hearted (I appreciate all the smut fics or people who write smutor even dark fics, just that sometimes I want tooth-rotting fluff). And I fully understand that things change over time. Tags change; there are new ones, or ones that aren't used anymore. So this is just my way of record keeping stuff I've read / want to read again.

Honestly, let's just say that I'm finding fault w tumblr search / tagging. Like I appreciate all the nuances that the tags allow - for authors to write like notes in that sense. But since each tag is considered an individual one, it's a pain when I want to look for a certain kind of fic or there's too many fics to go through (like the top posts usually don't change so have to scroll down really far to find something along what I'm looking for)

Very important to note, if any author are uncomfortable with my...sorting of their stuff or reblogging, just drop me an ask / dm (though I won't lie, it may take a while for me to get back to it since I'm not on tumblr a lot...)
