i made a character sheet. free to use as you wish, feel free to change whatever you want XD open source ass thing. spent all of ~maybe an hour on it.
Credit: the text in the insert-image box comes from this video, and the text for the top three lines (intense, complex, fruity) comes from this post. The actual image was made with the free NBOS character sheet creator, which is a sort of dated but free and solid text-layout sheet maker intended for ttrpg style character sheet creation.

I love collecting these for such a time as when I might actually try to create a character that isn't just me being my true neutral bloodthirsty self.
WEIRDLY SPECIFIC BUT HELPFUL CHARACTER BUILDING QUESTIONS
Whatâs the lie your character says most often?
How loosely or strictly do they use the word âfriendâ?
How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
Whatâs a hobby they used to have that they miss?
Can they cry on command? If so, what do they think about to make it happen?
Whatâs their favorite [insert anything] that theyâve never recommended to anyone before?
What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?
How loose is their use of the phrase âI love youâ?
Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?
What fact do they excitedly tell everyone about at every opportunity?
If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
Whatâs something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!
When do they fake a smile? How often?
How do they put out a candle?
Whatâs the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when theyâre alone?
What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?
What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?
Who do they love truly, 100% unconditionally (if anyone)?
What would they do if stuck in a room with the person theyâve been avoiding?
Who do they like as a person but hate their work? Vice versa, whose work do they like but donât like the person?
What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it?
What simple activity that most people do / can do scares your character?
What do they feel guilty for that the other person(s) doesnât / donât even remember?
Did they take a cookie from the cookie jar? What kind of cookie was it?
What subject / topic do they know a lot about thatâs completely useless to the direct plot?
How would they respond to being fired by a good boss?
Whatâs the worst gift they ever received? How did they respond?
What do they tell people they want? What do they actually want?
How do they respond when someone doesnât believe them?
When they make a mistake and feel bad, does the guilt differ when itâs personal versus when itâs professional?
When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?
If they committed one petty crime / misdemeanor, what would it be? Why?
How do they greet someone they dislike / hate?
How do they greet someone they like / love?
What is the smallest, morally questionable choice theyâve made?
Who do they keep in their life for professional gain? Is it for malicious intent?
Whatâs a secret they havenât told serious romantic partners and donât plan to tell?
What hobby are they good at in private, but bad at in front of others? Why?
Would they rather be invited to an event to feel included or be excluded from an event if they were not genuinely wanted there?
How do they respond to a loose handshake? What goes through their head?
What phrases, pronunciations, or mannerisms did they pick up from someone / somewhere else?
If invited to a TED Talk, what topic would they present on? What would the title of their presentation be?
What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?
What language would be easiest for them to learn? Why?
Whatâs something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?
Are they a listener or a talker? If theyâre a listener, what makes them talk? If theyâre a talker, what makes them listen?
Who have they forgotten about that remembers them very well?
Who would they say âyesâ to if invited to do something they abhorred / strongly didnât want to do?
Would they eat something they find gross to be polite?
What belief / moral / personality trait do they stand by that you (mun) personally donât agree with?
Whatâs a phrase they say a lot?
Do they act on their immediate emotions, or do they wait for the facts before acting?
Who would / do they believe without question?
Whatâs their instinct in a fight / flight / freeze / fawn situation?
Whatâs something theyâre expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?
If theyâre scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?
Whatâs a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often?
How many hobbies have they attempted to have over their lifetime? Is there a common theme?

A funny moment from last session.
These days I'm legit shocked that I ever thought I would be a comic artist or even an animator when I grow up. I get like one idea per year and I could barely get a four-panel strip with a single character done before my drive was depleted. Goes to show you don't really appreciate the amount of work and dedication that goes into anything until you try doing it.

Overview of some topics when it comes to drawing characters who are burn survivors.
DISCLAIMER. Please keep in mind that this is an introductory overview for drawing some burn scars and has a lot of generalizations in it, so not every âX is Zâ statement will be true for Actual People. I'm calling this introductory because I hope to get people to actually do their own research before drawing disabled & visibly different characters rather than just making stuff up. Think of it as a starting point and take it with a grain of salt (especially if you have a very different art style from mine).
Talking about research and learning... don't make your burn survivor characters evil. Burn survivors are normal people and don't deserve to be constantly portrayed in such a way.

edit: apparently tum "queerest place on the internet" blr hates disabled people so much that this post got automatically filtered. cool!

Oh my god? I got invited to another lvl20 one-shot, so I quickly drew another femboy. This one's a smartiepants artillerist with a 2-level wizard dip.
I was recently reminded of the cowboy brim wizard hat being a thing, and what would go better with that but a wand with a pistol grip?
Creating a palette was, once again, a nightmare...
Update on Rusty and the 40k crew: everyone else is switching characters because Rusty is dominating the fights too much.

When too lazy to draw, just reblog art tips!
Heh heh... idiots...

really helpful technique ^ once you know how to divide by halves and thirds it makes drawing evenly spaced things in perspective waaay easier:

For those who followed for the admech stuff:
"Who would win? Rusty or Avatar of Khaine?"
Rusty the Ruststalker had his first session this week and he slayed so hard that one of the other players posted this poll. The one vote for the avatar is from me, because it's illegal to vote for yourself ever.
The warband went to investigate a space station that had been under attack by a local splinter group of Mechanicus, only to find more of these hereteks and their servitors wassailing around the corridors.
We were a group of four, Rusty serving as the shock trooper and tank. Some of the fun he had that day:
charged at the speed of Usain Bolt
sliced a heavy stubber gun arm off while skidding past
dodged exploding brain matter from headshots left and right
parried chain axes
sidestepped plasma shots
split a boss in two vertically
jumped on couches
danced on tables
finished the fight with 1 HP left despite game master's stated goal of killing at least one of us
fought a giant robot centipede :c hecking snipers...

Kitsune Oracle for PF2e
Wow it's been like five seconds since I posted a new character. This is Difry, a kitsune life oracle.
Like most kitsune, Difry's true appearance is that of a fucking furry and she possesses an innate ability to take on the shape of a humanoid species she grew up close to. (And because I'm a sucker for transformations, she also knows how to turn into a regular fox, which our gnome bard finds absolutely adorable and carries her around.)
She tried to steal divine magic to heal her child. This is not an action without a price. She now wields magic similar to that of clerics without the stipulations of faith. The drawback is that both the god she stole from and their respective church have placed their curses on her, leaving her a pariah forced to serve any who would have use for her. The child unfortunately did not make it.
As her oracular mystery is life itself, her own life force is both amplified and at the same time constantly bleeding out of her, making flowers bloom and scars and aches fade in her presence. The curse intensifies the more she uses her ill-gotten powers, making her magic stronger as her own grip on life becomes more tenuous. Luckily she's able to take some of the outpouring life back, stealing a sip of life force escaping the lips of a dying foe for herself.
Personality-wise, Difry is as callous as you might expect, but deferential almost to a fault. She feels nothing for the enemies of the party that employs her and concentrates on serving those who show her gratitude, as it is the only way to chip away at the second curse placed upon her by the powers that be.
Her favorite food is freshly baked bread.

your art is so good! what inspires you?
Good question! Most of my stuff is original characters from tabletop roleplaying games, so I guess... going on adventures with my friends?
In terms of artistic technique however, it's a little harder to explain but.. sometimes I just... look at stuff... and I start to disassemble it in my mind, like how I would draw/paint/sculpt it. I'm talking Sherlockman from BBC floating math, like sometimes I get so lost in thought I stop processing sensory information properly.
And I might get so obsessed with recording some vision, either mental or glimpsed in the physical world, that it haunts me. I have a folder on my computer that's just tiny details so detached from all context that they've become abstract because I had to save them for later. I have no idea what to do with them.
So like, artist stuff i guess.

amputation seems a bit excessive then again: sword arms
This is the fundamental conundrum we all have to contend with. đ
All i can say is... maybe they have separate screw-on hands for non-sword-related occasions?

good luck! :3 i, too, would unironically like to get elective surgery to remove my limbs and most of my face and replace them with the certainty of steel.
