Hey! Just found your blog and I love it!
Also, your blog pinned post reminds me of a very interesting book:
Evolution's Rainbow by Joan Roughgarden
Tumblr media
It's an official Rec! I feel that people here that don't know yet about it might enjoy it! (it's also on audio)
extremely cool book rec here folks! dig in!

Hello, I saw your work and the photos you posted are very beautiful. Did you take them all by yourself?
no, i absolutely did not! i'm actually disabled and at home 99% of the time, so i'm very grateful to all the adventurers out there who make this footage so people like me can see the whole world. all i do is take that footage and make it into gifs!~
the credit for the footage is on every post! just look for the © symbol. if you see a post of mine reblogged without credit that just means someone removed the text, but it will still be on my original post.

The only regularly occurring all-white cetacean is the beluga whale. They are also the only whales who experience a seasonal epidermal molt. In winter their skin becomes thick and yellowish in places until they travel to estuaries in the spring, where they rub the cutaneous covering off on the rocks of the riverbed. ©beluga6794

Could I perhaps request the fisher (sometimes called fisher cat)? They’re lil guys and I love them
absolutely! it's so fun when an animal's name is absolutely useless. "fisher cat". it truly is neither of those things 🤷 but we love them nonetheless.

i love love love love love your blog! i've been on tumblr for a long time and i remember your blog being one of the first ones i've followed, so thank you for still being here. may i get some friends from the bufo or bufotes genres? bufo bufo is my all time favourite because it's the first toad i ever got to hold in my hands, and bufotes balearicus just looks so cool to me. much love again! :)
thank you so much, that's very sweet! i'm glad this is still a good site for cool animal facts and images~
may i offer you this lovely toad that was requested last spring? and there are a few more interesting guys in the anura tag!
