i'm watching a Deltarune LP in Japanese and found out that Tenna has a cute quirk where he ends a lot of his sentences with でしょう ("deshou") but he combines it with SHOW in English ("でSHOW" or "deSHOW")

Reasons why computer problems seem to mysteriously vanish as soon as a technician shows up:

You were spacing out and skipping a step somewhere without realising it, and you can’t reproduce it when you try to demonstrate it because now you’re paying attention to what you’re doing

It’s an intermittent electrical connection fault that’s being aggravated by movement/vibrations in your desk; you need to check your cables

I've seen several posts saying the James Cameron Avatar has no fandom because it's hollow inside, just a gimmick and effects with no soul or characters or anything. And while I agree with those assertions about it (and remember very little about it) — compare Inception.

Inception had a cooler concept, I think? (Though Avatar had the whole avatar mechanism which could be made interesting if you dug into it.) But I think a lot of its appeal was also in Cool Visuals. Maybe like… one and a half characters were more than an inch deep, and those were not the characters who were wildly popular for a bit. Also iirc a lot of the fic didn't really touch on the cool concept?

Fandom built Arthur/Eames on a foundation of toothpicks. So — what did they have that Cameron's Avatar characters don't?

Wanted to look over the pallets of a classic 'they weren't made for us' anime girls by certified pervert Sugiyama pre art fight. Highlight, base, shadow are all gradients with a hard edges of clothes and hair and soft on skin sans cast shadows. Thin lines with light color and a bit of line weight- mostly on the skill and the shadow side of some objects. Additional shines on hair and some objects, minimal soft light bouncing, and the biggest, most colorful fucking eyes- with a it of color on the lashes. Slap a rainbow gradient if you feel like it onto a shadow or wings, combine some photo bashing, architecture, and shapes for your background.

Apply all of this to a robot cat girl elf princess maid and you'll have the most kira kira moe moe kyun uguu girl of the decade. And if she fucks she'll be a true sugiyama.
