Even if he didn't quite trust people in her line of work, Naoto didn't seem like a bad person. Certainly not someone he would put through the ordeal of experiencing momentary death just to answer a question like that. That'd just be cruel.

Ken's voice is quiet - as if he's not completely certain he wants her to hear him at all. Hesitance is piled on top of shame, his arms nearly shaking as he holds his workbooks.

All the time. She's busy all the time. That's why he shouldn't be bothering her.

"But...I'd really appreciate it if you can help me with something. I'll try not to take too much of your time."

He's not supposed to be dragging down his teamates like this. He feels so awful...

Though he is usually sociable with both other animals and people alike, there is a certain kind of being which Koromaru will not tolerate. It is a creature which he has know to bring naught but destruction and pain to the world around him.

His paws stop in his tracks as he comes across the thing in the disguise of a boy on the sidewalk. Ears pull back, lips curl into the start of a snarl.

Though the question was posed with a certain amount of natural curiosity, it'd be hard to miss the disdain weaved into it as well. Naoto wasn't one of those adult police officers, but that didn't mean he trusted her completely - nor was he able to wipe his prejudices.

Koromaru Headcanon: The Evoker

As Koromaru's evoker is built into his collar, can be easy forget that it does function in the same way the humans use their own gun-shaped ones. Letting out a loud howl gives the signal for the inner mechanisms to fire into his neck, facing mortality in the same terrifying way in which all of his team members do. The same psychological burden of committing suicide applies to him, as he fully aware of the action he choses to commit. He would not be able to summon his persona otherwise. Though some may consider this to be a cruel way to treat an animal, Koromaru does not it that way. He, like all the team members of SEES, choses to be in the position he is. He knows the cost and possible consequences of fighting shadows with his teammates, and he has chosen to protect the world he holds dear. Even if losing his first master was painful, it has taught him that life is fragile - and deserves to protected at all costs.
