Good Morning!☀️
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. 1 Chronicles 16:11
David had completed the move of the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. He had appointed some of the Levites to lead the worship of the Lord. He set up musicians to play at appointed times as others sang psalms he and others had written.
Today's verse is part of the first psalm David had the Leivites sing after the placement of the ark in Jerusalem, which he wrote himself. Then as now, we are encouraged to seek after God without ceasing. We are to do those things that please and honor him.
Obedience is the best worship!

Good Morning!☀️
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Psalms 145:18 KJV
David had been through many ups and downs in his life. Through them all he found God to be there for him, healing, protecting, blessing, forgiving, and restoring.
In this psalm, David praises God for all that he does. He proceeds to list some of the many things God does and tells of the majesty and might of his kingdom. In the midst of all that he does, God hears the cry of those who call out to him in truth and sincerity. Not only does he hear; he is near!
Whatever the reason call out to God. He is near!

Good Afternoon! ☀️
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16
While many followed Jesus, he specifically chose twelve men for training and preparation to carry on after he was gone. Out of the twelve, there were three, Peter, James, and John, with whom he spent even more time and were privy to things the others were not. Jesus spent the night before he chose them in prayer: his choices were not made on a whim or based on favoritism.
While many are called, few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14) To be chosen means God has a specific role for you to fill, one that no one else can fill. It means you are separated from the rest; your path is not that of others, your responsibilities differ, and your joys.
God knows where you are. He has you there for a reason. You may be the difference between darkness and light. You are the salt he needs to flavor that situation. Wish not for another's calling. Appreciate the calling you have. Allow God to flow through you where you are!

Good Morning!☀️
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Psalms 147:3
This Psalm celebrates the many things God does on earth and for his people. It speaks not only of what God did for Israel but also of what he will do for all who fear and hope in him. It starts with his personal care for us and moves to his control of the weather and out to the numbering of the stars.
Our God is big enough to order the stars and care for each of us. He knows when we are heartbroken and he heals our broken heart. He treats our wounds so healing can take place.
God knows your heartache. Look to him for the relief you need!

Good Morning!☀️
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1
In this verse, David gives us a few things to think about:
God is. He told Moses " I AM THAT I AM. Tell them I AM sent you. (Exodus 3:14)
God is light. The Apostle John wrote that:
God is light and there is no darkness in him. (1 John 1:5)
More specifically, God was David's light. He will be ours, too if we let him.
God is our salvation:
He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death. Psalms 68:20
God is our strength. Isaiah reminds us that:
"They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength". (Isaiah 40:31)
It is because God is all these things and more that we have no reason to fear or be afraid of anyone or anything that may come against us!

Good Morning!☀️
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
The Philippian church partnered with Paul and sent him support without him having to ask or remind them. For some reason, this support had stopped but was now renewed. Paul let them know how grateful he was for both their prior and now renewed support.
Paul reminded them that just as they had given towards his needs, God would supply all of their needs. Likewise when we give freely and with a willing heart God will see to it that our needs and desires are taken care of, often in ways we never dreamed of.
Paul did not say God might, but that God SHALL supply every need of ours!

Good Morning!☀️
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
The writer of Hebrews explained to his readers (and us) the superiority of Christ over all who came before. His priesthood is an eternal priesthood. Because he lived among us as one of us yet without sin, human and divine, and is both sinless priest and sinless, perfect lamb sacrificed for us, he is the perfect advocate for us before God.
What does this mean in terms of practical, daily living? It means we can pray with confidence that our needs are understood and cared for. We can pray knowing that he to whom we pray has identified with us and desires our fellowship. It means that when we pray we can expect help and mercy in our time of need.
Come boldly unto the throne of grace!

Good Morning!☀️
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalms 55:22
When the burdens of life are too heavy for you, turn them over to the Lord. He can lighten the load. He will sustain you and give you what you need to stand firm.
How do you turn them over to him? First gives thanks for the challenges you face and for his help in facing them. Yes, give thanks. This places your mind in a receptive mode for God to speak to you. Second, leave what you cannot do to God and focus on what you can do, asking God to direct you as you do it. Often you will find you can do more than you thought.
Inherent in the above is prayer. Not an anxious, fearful prayer, but confident, faith filled prayer, confident that you are heard and confident that help is on the way. Remember you are talking to one who loves you and already knows what you need:
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
Cast your burdens on the Lord. He can handle them!

Good Morning!☀️
(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. Deuteronomy 4:31
The time had come for the Israelites to enter the promised land. Moses would not be entering with them; it would be Joshua's task to lead them. Moses took this time to review with the people all that God had done, the covenant he made with them, and the laws he gave to guide their lives as a new nation.
Repeatedly Moses reminds the people of God's mercy and faithfulness. While we may go astray, or forget our promises to God, God remains faithful to his word. He is always near. He will never leave us nor forsake us:
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
Praise God for his mercy! Know that you can always look to him for all you need!

Good Morning!☀
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6
The road is long with many twists and turns. We wonder if we will ever get there. This description sometimes applies to life as well. Some things seem to drag on and on as if we are never going to come to the end of them. We long for the striving to cease, the inner imbalance to balance.
No doubt the Philippians, experiencing persecution and challenges had started to feel this way. The apostle Paul sought to reassure them that they were not alone and God had not forgotten them. God would finish the work he started in them, and he will finish the work he started in us.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Hold fast, stay your course. God will bring you through and make you shine for his glory!
