Very much so.

I do not have a favorite Slugcat color. Seeing color is... hard. Difficult for me. Not to say that I can't. So they're all the same to me in those regards.

I do have a favorite variant. There's a subspecies that's... warmer. The feeling is nice within the cold chambers and halls. It's textile. Such wonderful little creatures.

Huh? Oh. No. I mean... I don't know. When I was first born, interest in the Void Sea was dwindling, and I never went out to research it- its a bit late for that now. I just know the basics. You shouldn't ask ME that question...

They're so... annoying. All the time. I thankfully only hear muffles of what its like, but what glimpses I have gotten don't really make them out to be the best people-

and- in all fairness I haven't spent much time with them personally... I really only hear the upper-caste citizens, since they're closer to me- not that I want them to be.

The problem is, I haven't been around that much wildlife. I only see what ends up in my memory banks, which is usually bugs, spiders, or centipedes.

I remember though, there were a lot of these... white lizards I believe they're called? They used to be all around my exterior before... the... I'm sure you know. They might still be there. I suppose those are my favorites too just by proxy?

...What theories? Did they do something I don't know about- it'd make sense. I'd look into it but- uhm- well. They're not really... here right now. I'll definitely have to ask Chain though, I never really considered anything about my own creators...!

If Sentinel didn't have the entire council backing him up and I wasn't tied to my taboos, then I would absolutely explode his brain- but I don't have a lust for violence or anything. I really don't. It's not who I am!

I wouldn't- have anything to say either. What even do I say? I just want him gone.

A 1v1 from an iterator to... most anything seems unfair though.

LOTG CHAPTER UPDATE IS FINALLY OUT!

I know it sucked to scroll through every log individually with no clue of where you were... but fear not because I've spent hours reorganizing everything into CHAPTERS! on a SINGLE PAGE! Also the nav is way better now

Alongside that, I've rewritten many logs, removing and adding dialogue, changing wording, ect ect. So if you want to reread LOTG, I'd say now is a good time :)

No new logs though. sad :/

To Chains: What do you think God is like? If there is a God at all?

There's- so many ways to answer that!

Really, when you spend as long as I do on reading historic text, it's hard to find one system of believe you can fit yourself into. Some believed in pantheons, others in a single god. Some are benevolent, others cruel.

But... one that sticks with me. That there's a god- or gods who've created the cycle and the mortal plane to trap us, to keep us suffering. For what reason is debatable and up to interpretation.

Maybe we're meant to learn about the joys of the material world while enduring its suffering, for the sake of these gods. Are they unable to experience it themselves and use us as vessels?

They could just be doing it all for fun. Who knows. I truly have no opinions on it myself outside of something purely analytical, I doubt us iterators care all that much in general

Thirteen Catastrophes is based off my old objectsona, Tar13 (tarie). That's where the design and the "Thirteen" part comes from. The Catastrophes part is from my alternate username I use sometimes, "BubbleCatastrophe", which is from Calamity. The in-universe explanation is that Thirteen Catastrophes was intended to be an imposing and important name. It was to command power and respect, which the benefactors felt the group seriously needed.

Missing Link of Chain used to be Chain of Missing Links, named after a song of the same name by The Books. Her personality was intended to be similar to the speaker in it, but I ended up branching away from it. I re-arranged her name because COML was too similar to COM and made coding hellish. The in universe explanation for her is that she's supposed to be filling in the gaps, those "missing links" through her archives.

Horizon of Sulfur's name is based off wildfires. Specifically the ones that happened in California a few years back. The smoke blew over my state and the sky turned orange and black. It was... foeboding to say the least. I chose the element sulfur specifically instead of "smoke" or "char" because I needed a periodic table reference in there. Sadly there's not really an in-universe explanation... but his name inspiration and how it references wildfires is reflected in his personality and design in a way and I think that's enough.

Since Mountains is never going to answer this, I'll just tell you myself.

On multiple occasions, NPM forgot what a lizard was, and also thought they were related to scavengers. Actually- they DESPERATELY tried to convince me they were actually closely related on the basis of "You see them in the same area." Open Waters had to bring up entire genome sequences to prove them wrong.

Now every time I see a lizard, I always call it a scavenger to remind them. They don't think its as funny as I do.

--Btw I'm doing another HUGE overhaul to the website. Instead of individual logs, I'm going to separate the sections further into chapters and have all the logs on a single page fragmented and formatted somewhat like a wiki page.

Oh and also all of LOTG is going to have some edits to make the earlier dialogue more in character and overrall less chatty. I don't like wasting readers' time!
