DRESS TO IMPRESS: As mentioned above, we would LOVE to see some swanky outfits! There are only so many options available in-game for a ‘Roaring 20′s’ style outfit. Because options are limited we would love to see tumblr collages of your outfits for the evening! Some ideas are suits, long gowns, flapper style dresses, top hats, monocles, fancy hair pieces, etc. Be sure to tag @succulent-tart so we can reblog or share them in our discord!

And we will of course have an after party! That’s the sin part, wink-wink. Come for the show, and then party with us afterwards!!

MUSIC: In honor of Black, Indigenous and People of Color who are greats from the Jazz Age era, we will also be featuring highlights about some amazing BIPOC jazz artists here on this Tumblr during the week leading up to the show (March 21-27). Our emcee is really going to bring some representation to the stage, and we’ll have some boppin’ music from BIPOC artists at that after party too!

Now, Mortimer he was not just any rat. He was a fancy rat, and fancy rats were always in pairs. Just so happened that Howick was his 'partner', the other half of his pair. This rat was very clever and intelligent, and he loved Howick more than anything else in the world. And Lya wasn't too bad, so he decided to impart some of his ratty wisdom to this lost and forlorn silly little lass. Standing up on his hind legs, he squeaked at Lya for about thirty minutes straight, taking a few pauses to sip and eat as he imparted all the wisdom he could to her.

After he was done, Lya just continued to stare at the rat, before sighing and hanging her head dejectedly. "Why didn't I learn rat langauge first..."She muttered, hiding her face in her hands.

Mortimer, feeling his task was done, then curled up on the pillow for a quick nap. He had done his good deed for the day. Now, to wait until Lya falls asleep and raid her shinies.

That is part of a short story I did of Lya a few years ago. I loved it just because Mort is one of my favorite companion characters a friend of mine made. And the fact he was there, imparting GRAND wisdom to Lya. And she couldn’t understand it. Makes me giggle every time. Thank you for the ask! @dawncloudrising

Day 5 at the World’s Faire Carnival

As we made our way down into the faire this night, a wild Talimas and Aldswelle were the first we came upon! 

We finally got to visit the Darkmoon’s Finest where we purchased some lovely stones to go together in a vase we have at home. While there however we crossed paths with a delightful patron who built an owl with us at the Howling Owl Fest’s Untamed Night! Cartery and his interestingly delightful drunken crab companion!

I admire the Darkmoon’s Finest and all their performances they do every year I hope we can find time to see one before this week’s end! So much to do and so little time it always seems!

Well well lookie here! We found someone during the Meet and Greet that we just HAD to get a photo with and show off our glorious radiant suns! Lor'themar Theron seemed to quite enjoy our good hair!!

While in line to see the amazing Ephemeral Hazella we yet again came across dear friend Cartery! We had such a lovely chat and then we were spotted by @sirensdxn Ra’hsen. The dear friend that he is was a warm welcome to our growing line of friends!

6) something you would go back and change in your writing that it’s too late/complicated to change now

A lot of Lya’s storyline that involved her BIO family and old family friends. The plot was thought up of with people I no longer talk to and would prefer to never associate with again. Yet since she has been around for so long I feel it would be silly or petty to change it at this point. So instead it stays and Lya just...Tries to forget some of what had happened.

If I try to go out looking for inspiration I usually end up overthinking it and talking myself out of writing. It is best for me to just wait for inspiration to hit than to try and force it. Thank you! @thalsianiii

I actually have docs with information that has been shared between characters, what they are hiding from each other, and what they have ‘uncovered’ about each other when it comes to my own characters. Lya shares a lot with her ‘mum’s but she also keeps her secrets as well.  Casial keeps the most secrets out of all of my characters. My timeline is ever changing simply because due to the age of certain characters there is literally thousands of years that the family storyline covers. That and Blizz keeps changing things up. Nonetheless, I try to keep accurate information on hand that way I don’t get wires crossed.

24) have you ever become an expert on something you previously knew nothing about, in order to better a scene or a story?

I know a lot more about medical things and fine pastry crafting than I ever have a need to know in my day to day life. I know the language of flowers and what various flowers mean when bundled with other ones due to all of my girls sending bouquets with meanings to people. I cringe a lot depending on how long ago I wrote it. There was a time where I did things that were entirely against Lore. There were also times where I was a Mary Sue(do we sill use that term?). Still, I try to look back at previous writing as an indication on how far I have come.

I actually have music playlists I listen to whenever I am working on certain characters or certain themes of rp. I find that a good playlist really helps my brain work through some of my writer’s block and focus on what I am trying to convey.

Now, if I am plotting with someone I love being in voice or in the same room as them and talk it all out. But, if I am trying to simply get ideas to paper I prefer to be alone as it keeps me from just discussing everything new or that I want to do oocly with someone instead of actually writing it.

22) are there any subjects that make you uncomfortable to write?

Honestly, it depends on my current mental state. There are sometimes that I have bad weeks or months and dark rp is just not something I can handle. Even as much as I love those storylines sometimes I have to step away from it.

There are some things I will just fade-to-black on, like some torture scenes and all. It really just depends. Thank you for the ask! @asharinhun

What is Casial's win-lose ratio when it comes to brawls?

I would say it is about 60% Win and 40% lose depending on the week. Just a lil over 50/50. She is determined lil thing though and she will throw herself at a fight again and again until she learns how to take someone down.

World’s Faire Carnival Photos! : Day 4

Still going strong at this most incredible event! May revisits to favorite vendors and of course meeting up with beautiful people. More of a recharge day for these Sun Kings on this Day of Fortune and Luck! Looking so handsome in green feathers and gold~

Visiting the Ashes of A’lar tent with more messages for @lunethdawnseeker where the poor dear was bombarded with his Icy assault after he was kind enough to treat us to delights. More details here! 

Surprise hellos and treats from Tyralea! How we adore this lady from one of our favorite tea places~ Branch and Lantern Tea Shop! Go visit her at booth 12! 

We found the pastry goddess at Quelity Desserts once more! Callyanne @lightsong-legacy made sure to treat us so well! Talthorn and Kon FINALLY were able to try some of these wine-sicles~
