A couple guys approach

Peni doesn’t have SP/DR and so she’s just this tiny ball of rage

Noir is almost completely passed out but he hears that and he’s just like

“If I go down, it’s protecting her. No buts.” So he pushed himself to stand. Takes a few more punches. But he manages to take them out.

It’s snowing

He’s laying back down again

“Noir-.. please get up. Your apartment is really close and I want hot chocolate because it’s cold-“

He shrugs his coat off and gives it to her before pushing himself to his knees

Cold air = cold Peni. And her needs go before his. So he sucks it up and limps to his apartment with her

There’s a trail of blood

Peni’s panicking

She turns his coffee maker into some inter-dimensional gadget to contact Beter

Noir is going for his bathroom because that’s where his bandages are

But wait

She wanted hot chocolate

He has to do that

So he turns to go to his kitchen

She tells him to stay active so he doesn’t fall asleep

He ends up being fine.. but it was about the scariest thing that happened to Peni other than losing her father

Teach girls it’s okay to not want kids. Or even like them. That they can be functional people without being a mother. That deciding into their 30s they want kids isnt bad and they’re not “too old.” Teach girls that they don’t have to sell their youth to kids. Because motherhood isn’t for everyone. And we need to stop acting like it is.
