Okay, here we go with everything you need to know about the Senator Eren au. It was everything made with some asks from here and some of my hcs.

Eren, a lawyer from humble origins (the son of a housewife and a doctor), has achieved remarkable success through hard work, leading him to become the state representative of the Shiganshina district.

As a state representative, Eren has formed an alliance with the most influential family in Shiganshina: the Ackermans, owners of Ackerman States, a conglomerate formed by the Ackerman-Azumabito and Arlert families. The Ackermans wasted no time in aligning themselves with Eren, as he had studied law with a scholarship from their family, demonstrating his potential and dedication.

With a promising future in politics, he stands a strong chance of running for election as senator for the Shiganshina district. However, his popularity in the polls is dwindling, largely due to concerns from the conservative faction. They believe that a young man from a modest background may not be suited to such a prestigious position.

Because they are unwilling to lose their power and see an opportunity for a favorable position, the Ackermans offer their support to Eren. However, Eren's main problem lies in the polls and his public image, which portrays him as a single man occasionally seen in questionable bars (although nothing has been confirmed to the public, these could be rumors spread by political rivals).

Kenny Ackerman, the head of the household, holds a meeting with Eren and suggests that the most likely solution to his predicament is to give in to the demands of the conservatives and get married. Eren is hesitant about marrying a wealthy woman because he feels out of place and doesn't know how to handle them. Secretly, he desires a romance like that of his parents, humble and genuine (he has feelings uwu).

However, improving his image is crucial, so Kenny Ackerman offers his niece, Mikasa Ackerman, the eldest daughter of his brother. He assures Eren that Mikasa can provide him with a child soon, as his brother married into the Azumabito family, and they quickly had six children.

At first, Eren is hesitant, but his ambition to become a senator ultimately leads him to accept the proposal. However, Mikasa's father warns him about one crucial aspect: Mikasa is shy and reserved, and an arranged marriage might not sit well with her. He emphasizes that Mikasa dreams of a genuine marriage, so if Eren wants to court her, it has to appear spontaneous.

On the other hand, Mikasa has been in love with Eren for as long as she can remember. Since he was studying with a scholarship provided by the Ackermans, he frequently visited their house to present his grades or withdraw money. Mikasa would watch him from afar, always dreaming that one day they might have something together when she was older. However, as time passes, she realizes that the chances of Eren noticing her are slim to none.

Until one evening at a charity event organized by the Ackerman States, Eren surprises Mikasa by inviting her to dance and share drinks with him. By the end of the night, he musters the courage to ask her out on a date. (Mikasa is somewhat numb at this point, but she takes a leap of faith.)

Eren's plan is straightforward: make Mikasa fall in love, marry her to improve his image, and have a child. However, as he progresses with his scheme, he unexpectedly finds himself falling for Mikasa.

Mikasa, initially shocked by Eren's sudden attention, allows herself to be swept up in the situation. However, as her own nerves start to betray her, she begins to doubt Eren's intentions. She overhears conversations suggesting that Eren needs to marry someone, leading her to believe that he may just be using her to have a fuck.

Mikasa, feeling conflicted and wanting clarity, decides to confront Eren about her suspicions. The confrontation takes place at the Ackerman house, where Eren is staying for the night due to his plans. Under the cover of darkness, Mikasa seeks him out and, feeling vulnerable, ends up offering herself to him before he can make a move, which mean: she wants him to fuck her and she wishes to get pregnant so he doesn't have to marry someone else but her.

“Well, at least I know you know how to do your job,” she says nonchalantly, her apathetic attitude returning. “Back to the questions, though—we keep getting sidetracked.” She narrows her eyes before she speaks, her tone getting to a level of sincerity Eren didn’t know she could reach before she asks: “You don’t do drugs, do you?”

“Excuse me?”

“What? I had to ask,” Mikasa shrugs. “I’m gonna take that as a ‘no’ then. Okay, next question: Any hobbies?”

“Umm, no? Not really.”

“Okay… do you have a girlfriend or something I should know about?”

The breath in his throat gets stuck, and he feels himself almost choke, the question catching him off guard. “What? I can’t tell if you’re being genuine with these questions or you’re just fucking with me,” Eren says bluntly, leaning back in his seat while crossing his arms. He can’t deny he’s partially amused at how brazen she is, but he’s also somewhat curious about the inner workings of the mind of Mikasa Ackerman. 

Somehow, this offends Mikasa, which only earns Eren an overdramatic eye roll in response. “I’m not just asking you these questions for shits and giggles, Eren. There’s a reason behind them, clearly. The drugs—obviously, I have to make sure you’re not bringing that kind of thing into my house. The hobbies—if you like to work out or something, that means you’d be leaving the house, which is something I think I should know about. And if you have a girlfriend, I think I should know if you’re gonna be bringing another stranger into my house—I already got one of those thrown onto me, so it’s not all that unreasonable for me to ask, don’t you think?” Mikasa lets out a huff, staring at him, waiting for his response, clearly unamused by his incomprehension. 

Eren stares at her in disbelief, mostly because her reasoning is, well, justified; he can’t dispute her for being rightfully curious about the man whom she’s being forced to be roommates with. She’s a Columbia graduate for a reason, he thinks to himself.

“Well, you have a point—” 

“I know I do, I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t know it was right,” she says matter-of-factly.

Eren’s gathered that Mikasa is not only borderline bitchy and downright mean, but clearly, she has no issues being a smartass as well. He lets out a deep breath, one he didn’t know he was holding while rolling his eyes, no longer bothering to care if she sees at this point. “To answer your question, though: no, I don’t have a girlfriend.”

There’s a glint of something that pans across her face, but before he can try and decipher her expression—one of her many, he’s learning—it disappears. She raises her brows, nodding. “Hmph, well, good to know, then I guess.”

Mikasa would definitely not like zeke. Also I wonder if there’s going to be some history between Levi and zeke if they meet

she wouldn’t like zeke bc of the way eren feels a type of way towards him. like eren and zeke don’t have a bad relationship per se but she knows that eren feels a bit jaded towards him bc zeke is clearly the golden child and eren is just kinda there sometimes. so knowing that caused him strained feelings and bc she relates in some ways, she’s gonna be apprehensive towards him out of her loyalty towards him

but eren wouldn’t wanna worry his parents about mikasa being borderline fucking psychotic 💀 he’ll probably just tell them occasionally she’s a bit difficult, but he’s not gonna bitch to them about her like crazy bc that’s gonna stress them out bc they were pretty worried about him moving!!! since it’s kind of a high stakes job considering her dad did almost get murdered 💀

in this au eren’s only main friend will really be armin! so i hadn’t initially planned for armin to meet mikasa but then i realized “why wouldn’t they meet???” so we’ll def get that!!! as for carla, there’ll never be a universe where carla doesn’t absolutely adore mikasa and mikasa adoring carla imo, but i think she’ll enjoy how motherly carla is, bc that’s something she missed from her own mother

imagine when Sasha and historia meet them he acts nonchalant and Mikasa is confused about the whole personality switch up

for the most part eren is pretty neutral with mikasa, though he does bicker with her. like he doesn’t like her (at first) but mikasa is definitely more outward with her disdain for him than eren is, he just lets her talk her shit and just kind of ignores her lol. when they start arguing it’s more bickering than explosive tbh!! but mikasa is more like a yapping chihuahua tbh 😭

Hi! This is kind of a weird question but, How and where do you think Eren would propose to Mikasa in a modern AU? What kind of ring do you think she would rock?

disclaimer: idk shit about wedding rings i notoriously don’t like wearing jewelry besides the same gold hoops and my one bracelet LOL so bare w me here LOL

but i imagine mikasa would like a simple wedding ring for one!!! i don’t strike mikasa as someone who would be super materialistic in any au tbh, though i bet eren would wanna buy her something super extravagant bc nothing would be too expensive for her, but he knows that’s just not her. so idk maybe just something simple, but a little unique too!! BUT IT DOES HAVE TO BE SILVER!!! mikasa is a silver girly in my head lol (eren is gold to me tho)

as for a proposal i think sticking to mikasa being a simple person, it would definitely be something intimate and personal to the two of them! i think mikasa would be the type of person who hates a public proposal lol, she’s very shy so it would just be a lot tbh, so she’d prefer something just with the two of them! i think like how some people do proposals like at a private scenic location, or maybe somewhere that has sentimental meaning between the two of them (like a first date or something else) would be really sweet and special.

i also just think mikasa is the type to just be more concerned about eren and her love for him, so the bells and whistles don’t matter to her! but maybe bc eren is a bit more extroverted and i know they both care about their loved ones maybe they’d have like a little engagement party after, i know a lot of people do that these days

but that’s just how i think it would go tbh!!

but i think they’ll definitely think it’s weird that she has to have a bodyguard but they’re probably trying to convince her to look at the benefits of it like 1. he’s hot 2. he basically just follows her around all day he really doesn’t do that much 3. maybe they could be amicable and it’s better than some random creepy old guy her parents could’ve hired

mikasa and eren are both contrasting characters,

eren deals with a lot of insecurities, mikasa carries a lot of pride.

eren is constantly thinking about the future (quite literally living in it considering titan memories due to the founding and attack), while mikasa constantly thinks about the past.

eren is angry and impulsive, mikasa is calm and collected with a clear idea of what she wants to do.

eren allowed people to enter his heart including reiner and annie which explains his sadness finding out about their betrayal, while mikasa only concerns herself with the people that she loves and has no room in her heart to care about more after her trauma.

even in the way they love each other, all mikasa wants is to be by eren's side even if it means risking her life, while all eren wants is for her to be safe even if it means their separation.

and interestingly enough, their character development is basically becoming who the other used to be, in s4 mikasa starts to be more like eren from s1, and s4 eren is more like mikasa in s1
