A few days ago I decided to finally tip my toes into Japanese BL (it has intimidated me for the longest time). So I started watching Taikan Yoho and Utsukushii Kare (both amazing, haven't finished them yet). Then tonight curiosity got the better of me and I deliberately searched for something very dark, ended up watching Dangerous Drugs of Sex (or at least 2/3s of it plus the last scene) and afterwards I just sat there crying because I was not ready for that, which I kinda knew from the start but also it was a strangely moving experience. Like I was crying because I felt sad but also happy and introspective? (honestly I'm not sure what I was feeling but emotions were definitely felt.) I will almost certainly go back and watch all of it at some point.

Anyway, Japan truly has some unique (wild) movies and shows, huh?

the problem with looking for actual crossovers is when a fandom has multiple adaptations/versions and they use multiple or all of them on fics so its hard to find if there is an actual crossover fic with another show/series.

so here I am asking if there are wangxian crossover fics you can recommend.

I like crossovers with other mxtx works or even other danmei works but im curious if there are other crossovers beyond that. even if from western shows for example a doctor who crossover? etc.

in segasaki's pov he's showing appreciation to the food yoh cooked for him when yoh forgot that segasaki told him not to bother doing so because he's going to be late and eat out😭. first thing he noticed when he got home, is that yoh prepared two placemats on the table and the scene after with yoh eating meant yoh actually waited for him to come home so they could eat together so....

idk how good the translation is but the manga-ka is saying that the 3 years was when Segasaki proposed living together but they only apparently started living for a few months. this is the reason behind yoh's reaction about the news of the rainy season, its the first rainy season they'd have living together. someone correct me if I'm wrong. I wonder what happened in between those times?

I was hoping you had time to listen to a line from My Personal Weatherman (Taikan Yoho) Episode 1 from 22:28 to 22:45.

Viki and Gaga provided almost opposite translations of the line that alters the character's feelings about the potential lack of sex in his immediate future. I was hoping you could provide some more clarity for us.

Hi! I only listened to the bit so I don't have any additional context, but what the character says is shibaraku shinakute iinda, I don't have to do it for a while. Knowing nothing else, I would think the sentiment is positive but feel free to read it in the context that you have! I used some random upload on dailymotion for this and there the sub said 'I'm fine without it for a while, right?' but this is not accurate.

When Pisaeng rejected Pear, Pear redirected her attention to Kawi and getting to know him more likely because she probably thinks its better to cultivate feelings and relationship with the guy that likes her. So they were not officially dating that's why Pear denied they are together with Not and told him they're just friends but they were at the stage of hanging out, flirting and getting to know each other(see Kawi walking Pear home and Pear kissing him on the cheek). Kawi confirmed it with Max on one of the previous episodes when he said they were "talking". This is why Kawi is adamant that he breaks things off with Pear or tell her himself even if they are not officially together. They were at the stage of not being official but mutually knowing they were supposed to be headed in that direction.

I'm confused why kawi has anything to clear up with pear. He confessed to her. she turned him down, they continued as friends. Am I missing something?

Very interesting to see Be My Favourite touch on the concepts of mistakes and negative consequences in a way that suggests unavoidability. Up until now, we've largely seen Kawi running around to fix his mistakes and every failure is framed, at least by Kawi, as not fixing the mistake 'correctly,' which he then returns to the past to do.

The first hint of this was in the previous episode where we saw that despite recieving the life-saving surgery, Kawi's father still passed away. They go further in episode 9 by showing us the fall out of how he and Pisaeng get together.

The significant feature of this, however, is that Kawi tried to do everything the right way. He had scheduled a date to break up with Pearmai and he'd only confessed to Pisaeng after panicking that he was leaving the country. The fact that he hadn't managed to break things off with Pear cleanly first was out of his control.

Sometimes we try to do everything right and it goes wrong anyway. Sometimes we try to do our best for someone but they still get hurt. Sometimes we try to make the right choices but we miscalculate the consequences. But that doesn't mean we should stop trying. Life is messy, nothing is fully under our control, and sometimes all we can do is muddle through in the right direction and have faith that the people around us are muddling right next to us.

Being honest, owning our mistakes, and hoping that others understand that there was no malicious intent, is sometimes all we can do.

Do you think Pisaeng's mom talking to him about the hardships about being out influences the way he gave Kawi excuse for their first drunk kiss to not be talked about and resolved even what seem to be years after that and that enables Kawi from not ever confronting his feelings head on in that timeline? Especially with Kawi being a celebrity, would Pisaeng feel the need to support Kawi's decision or choice of hiding in the closet or denying himself and what might be their feelings for each other because he thinks of what could be his relationship to Kawi as a burden for Kawi's career and Kawi himself has told or implied to be
