Good Luck Enchantment ✨
Tumblr media
This is for those of us who need a boost in luck recently, it will bring better days to you or the person you give it too.
Items Needed:
Item(s) you or the person can carry with them ( I originally used pennies but am planning to do so on a glass pendant)
A small container to mix the dry parts together in
Another container, preferably with a lid a little under half full of water.
Cinnamon, I used a pinch but go with what feels right.
Black Pepper, two pinches this time but it’s up to you.
Sea Salt, I used two shakes of the container.
Chamomile tea leaves, I used a whole tea bag but I highly suggest using just half.
Peppermint tea leaves, once again I suggest half a bag.
2-4 acorns.
Clovers if you have them on hand, I did not.
Instructions:
Fill up your liquid container with water
Collect all your dry ingredients and mix them together
Drop your item or items in the water
Add your dry mixture into the water
Add the acorns and clovers if you have them
Leave it for a while, I left mine over night
I hope that this works as well for you as it has for me.
✨ Blessed Be My Friends

this can be used in a book of shadows, book of knowledge, path journal, etc.
Tumblr media
✧ table of contents: so you don’t have to flip through to find whatever you’re looking for
✧ a page all about you : helps to make it more personalized. you can add your favorite herbs, crystals, plants, incense, tarot cards and just about anything that’s important to your craft. you can write what your path is and what interested you about it. you can add your natal chart.
✧ goals: goals in your path (can be included on the page about you)
✧ calendar: you can write down the lunar phases on it, holidays important to your craft such as Esbats or Sabbats
✧ elements: what they stand for. their importance. correspondence.
✧ herbs/plants/flowers: I wouldn’t put every herb but write down the ones that you most commonly use and their correspondence
✧ crystals: exact same as the herb page.
✧ runes: exact same as herb page.
✧ candles: you can write down what each color represents.
✧ witch tools: write down the tools you use. maybe their importance or what you use them for.
✧ lunar phases: draw them out or print them out and write down their symbolism
✧ astral plane: information about the astral plane and astral projection. your experience with astral projection.

✧ reflections: personal reflections.
✧ ancestors: your ancestor line.
✧ resources: info from books you’ve read.
you can decorate your book with dried up leaves/flowers, illustrations, collages, colored pen/markers. I would recommend adding a protection sigil. by no means do you have to make your book aesthetically pleasing, do whatever works for you! In my case, the nicer it is the more I’ll use it. add whatever is important to your craft, don’t add stuff you’re not going to need or use. make it your own!

Crystals for protection
These are from my own personal experience. As a general rule, black crystals are naturally very protective because they’re extremely grounding. Purple crystals are psychically protective, and white crystals purify the energy around them. But here’s a comprehensive list:
⭐️Selenite - it’s such a high-vibration crystal that it resonates with the angelic realm, and known for being incredibly protective. Plus it’s really cheap! Yay! Buy raw pieces in bulk and place them in a grid around your personal space for powerful protection.
⭐️Sugilite - emanates the Violet Ray, which is highly protective against psychic attack, curses, hexes, and general negative energy.
⭐️Charoite - VERY powerful against inter- dimensional parasites, wonderful for wearing during astral travel. Keep by your bed to ward off nasty entities that like to feed on your energy. Think of it like a purple fire burning away all negative influence. It’s really amazing stuff.
⭐️Amethyst - well-known, easy to come by, and usually pretty cheap (just find real amethyst and not fake). Psychically protective, also very soothing. When you’re afraid, you tend to attract nasty entities, and so amethyst has the dual purpose of keeping you calm and feeling safe AND protecting you against negative energy.
⭐️Black tourmaline - the old standby for protection against negative energy, curses, malicious entities, and general feelings of being overwhelmed. Also easy to come by!
⭐️Hematite - another old favorite in the metaphysical community, good for keeping you grounded on earth, which in itself is protective. Regular black hematite is protective, but rainbow hematite has the added benefit of aligning your chakra column.
⭐️Magnetite - Same as hematite, but because it’s magnetic, I like to think of it like an energy trap that sucks in all the nasty energy around it. Cleanse it more often!
⭐️Labradorite - aside from being gorgeous, this stone is specifically protective during magickal practices. It can guard against magickal attack, curses, hexes, and general bad energy.
⭐️ Regular black stones you find outdoors are grounding, ESPECIALLY ones you find deep in the dirt. I can’t tell you how powerful it is to find your own magick materials. Since it’s been soaking up all that lovely earth energy, any dark-colored stone in the dirt will have protective qualities. Take it home, wash it, cleanse it, charge it, and familiarize it with your energy. You’ll be best buds, I promise! You don’t have to spend a dime on protective stones, if you don’t want to.
Experiment with some crystals yourself and see which ones make you feel grounded and safe. Hope this helps!

yes I can one million percent confirm this and i’m only a baby witch
Look, I’m not a witch and I don’t know a lot of witchy things, but I do know this for certain- the most powerful protection amulets are jewelry that has been handmade as a gift just for you by someone who loves you. Doesn’t matter if it’s just an acorn stuck to a ribbon by a five year old, if it was made with love and it was made for you, that’s all it needs, put it on, you’re good to go!

So uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I’m making a series of videos! “Breaking the controversy” It’s basically about determining things if things are ok to do! Things like: Shipping Changing a character’s skin color Making a character lgbt+ And all that other stuff that gets the fandemons to rise from hell and send death threats!
I’m honestly just starting work on it, so it mightn’t come out for a while (maybe even not until next year) but I really hope you guys check it out! The reason it’ll take so long is because I have to gather information, interview creators, write the scripts, record, and edit it!
All on my own.
oh boy.
what have I started.
Well, I can’t go back now anyway, so please stick with me until it’s time!

hey so i know this isn’t meant to be my fandom blog but fuck everything i’m too lazy to switch
i have a new oc concept for a bnha oc:
name: Rizu Tsuisuto
gender: girl
Age: 16
quirk: reality twist it allows her to mess with pretty much anything. from the color of someone or something to actually being able to change the layout of an entire city (she can’t do that one yet, but she and some other friends did turn their house into a cat cafe in a mountain.) She can change someone’s genitalia, their race, species, height, look, pretty much anything. She can also change buildings (a bit), and used her quirk a heck-ton when setting up her dorm room.
Hero name: The strange hero; reality breaker
Personality: cheery and hype, huge prankster. She also does a load of art, mostly pottery and making other decor items. She transferred to UA when mineta got expelled for sexual harrasment/assault. Pretty instantly became friends with most of 1A, especially denki and mina. She lives with her friends, and in her spare time she still goes over to help at the cat cafe. She’s also chaotically bisexual.
I’ll post her design soon, but I don’t have time rn

Research Beyond Tumblr
Hi my friends! Now, this is something I’ve noticed since joining witchblr: a lot of witches don’t do any research beyond Tumblr itself. Maybe a little googling, but despite this, it’s always good to reach out into other realms for your information!
Tumblr media
Starting Points
Internet
I didn’t know where to start either, but because we have the internet at our fingertips, try some of these blogs! They’re very good for the modern witch, as well as simple and clear enough for the baby witch!
The Traveling Witch
Witch of Lupine Hollow
The Witches Box
Biddy Tarot (this one has a podcast too!)
Books
There are so many books you can read, I’m just going to list off the topics you might find interesting to cover. Check out your local library, or if they don’t have it, then try finding an e-book online!
Religions(this one if fun to learn more about, especially if you’re like me and was raised with only one religious influence.)
Lore(from your local area, from your country, around the world, ect.)
The supernatural
Meditations
Gardening
Tea makings, blends, etc
History of any kind
Mythology of any kind
Spell books
Other Practitioners
I know that this isn’t accessible to everyone, but you’d be surprised. Even if someone doesn’t call themselves a ‘witch’ doesn’t mean they don’t have spiritual practices of their own. Be polite and open minded when asking about these things. It’s no secret that not everyone agrees with the practices and beliefs of others, and keep in mind that Tumblr has shifted opinions about things, that don’t necessarily exist much outside of this website.
Try just casually asking people in your local metaphysical store, if you have a tarot reader or psychic that you see. Maybe even ask your grandma why she has that strange thing hanging from her window. You never know where magic lurks.
Honestly, just try to keep in mind that you will never know everything. Tumblr is a strange setting to learn witchcraft from, so whatever you’ve learned to believe here, make sure you keep an open mind when learning from other sources.
Good luck my friends, and have fun on your journey!

So you’ve made a spell jar….now what?
I was recently asked what to do with a spell jar once it’s made. I thought my answer would be simple, but the more I wrote, the more I realized it wasn’t. So here’s a guide for those that need it showing what to do with different bottles depending on your intent.
Positive influence on yourself or in your life: -Place somewhere you will see it very often, like a sunny window, bedside table, desk, or altar. Seeing it every day will help strengthen your intent and remind yourself why you made it. -Place somewhere that you meditate. If you meditate regularly you can take a few moments during that time to hold the jar and focus on the spell, the result that you want, and how to help make that happen. -Keep it on your person throughout the day. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. It will act as a conductor for the positivity that you want.
Beauty/Glamour: -Place on vanity or in bathroom. Placing it at the central point of your daily beauty routine will maximize the use of the spell bottle. -Keep in makeup bag/kit. Keeping it in a container with all of your beauty supplies will infuse it’s intent with everything inside. -Stash inside your dresser or closet with the clothes that correspond to your spell (date clothes, party/club clothes, formal wear, lingerie). -Bury in a pot of flowers and keep by a mirror you use for your daily beauty routine. Flowers are a universal symbol of beauty and having something living channel your spell makes it much stronger. -Keep it on your person throughout the day. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. Keeping the jar close to you will help influence the beauty spell/glamour longer and stronger.
Weight Loss/Gain and Exercise: -Stash inside your gym bag/locker. It will serve as a boost right before you work out. -Keep with your food. If you are using it to control eating habits, keep it in your pantry/fridge IN FRONT of all of your food. It will be a barrier between you and your food. You’ll have to get past the jar before you touch anything else. -Keep it on you’re kitchen table. If you are using it to battle eating disorders and/or increase your eating habits, place it where you eat all of your meals. -Take it with you while you move. If you like to ride your bike for exercise, use an unbreakable/break resistant bottle and tie it to your bike. If you like to walk/run with your kids in a running stroller, put it on the stroller where your child can’t reach it. -Store it with your work out clothes. The spell will bleed over into the clothes so that you have it whenever you put them on. -Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. It will influence you as well as remind you of our goals all day.
Influence Relationships: -Place in the heart of your home. If you are trying to influence your family or the relationships within, keep it where you’re family spends time together the most (kitchen, livingroom mantle, game room, dining room). If you can’t practice openly at home, use a container that is pretty and not see through, fill it completely so it doesn’t rattle, and glue it shut. That way, to everyone else, it will just be pretty decoration. -Give it as a gift. Decorate the bottle and give it as a gift to the person whose relationship with you, you want to influence. -Keep next to their photo. Keep it next to a photo of the person you wish to change your relationship with. -Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. The bottle will work it’s magic whenever you are around the specified person.
Health: -Stash in the bedroom. Placing the jar on your nightstand, under your pillow, or under your bed will allow health spells to work while you sleep, especially if you are bedridden. -Store with your medicine. If you have to take medication regularly, store it with your meds. -Keep next to your drinking water. If you use drinking water that isn’t from a tap, store the jar where you store your water. The spell will bleed into your drinking water to influence your health. -Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. If it is on your person, it can influence your health all day, healing you or protecting you from an illness that is spreading.
Dreams: -Stash in the bedroom. Placing it on your nightstand, under your pillow, or under your bed will keep it close while you sleep so it can influence your dreams. -Store with your pajamas. Storing it with the clothes that you sleep in will infuse them with the spell’s energy (unless you sleep naked of course, but I don’t need to know about that).
Wards/Banishments: -Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. It will act as a shield to keep away whatever you want. -Bury it in your yard. If you are just trying to banish something/someone from your life or ward them away from your home and family, bury it in your yard. It will act as a shield. -If you are trying to banish something/someone and send them far away from you, bury next to train tracks. -If you are trying to banish thoughts or habits or trying to forget something, bury it in a cemetery. If you can’t bury it in a cemetery, bury it somewhere in the woods and forget it’s location.
If anyone wants to add something that I missed, please feel free!

cleansing spray | diy
heya fellas
y’all know that not everybody can burn things to do cleansing in the house so…
in the past days i was looking for a cleansing spray easy to do but really, none was easy
sooo, i decided to do my own cleansing spray with the things i have here in my house and i though, why not post the thing in my tumblr? so here it is!!!!
materials:
spray bottle (glass is better!!!!!!!)
rosemary
lavander
lavander essential oil
basil salt and lavander salt (any salt works)
moon water (important)
alcohol (medical or white vodka works fine)
mint
Tumblr media
how to do it:
first, put the moon water in the spray bottle
Tumblr media
then, put the same amount of moon water but replace the moon water with alcohol
Tumblr media
now, put all the herbs inside of the bottle (lavander, mint and rosemary)
Tumblr media
we are almost ready, now put the salt in the bottle, the amount you find okay (lavander and basil salt)

Tumblr media

The Etiquette of Herb-Gathering
As a practicing Witch and small-scale herbalist, I often find that when I’m out and about I’m also absentmindedly on the lookout for any new, interesting or useful herb species that might help me in my practice. I even carry a small clean jam jar and a sharp penknife in my handbag at all times for if I spot a herb I just can’t resist and need to take a cutting of it for my collection back home. However, while I’m avidly seeking out roadside feverfew or happily snipping cuttings of a rare cultivar of lavender or sage, I’m always acutely aware of why I call the etiquette of herb-gathering.
These are a few simple rules by which I suggest all foraging Witches, alchemists and herbalists should abide that dictate the correct course of action for those who seek to collect herbs from places other than their own gardens. They are mostly fairly common-sense, but a few are ones that might be overlooked, but which can actually be of profound importance!
I will list the rules below, but bear in mind that it’s not like this is some onerous obligation that must be fulfilled, and nor is it some sort of “Witchcraft commandment” or infallible and unchanging list of sacred laws. These are a few things that I created for my own usage, and nobody else is under any obligation to use them. If you choose to do so, I’ll be thrilled; if you find a way to improve them, please do reblog this post with your corrections!
The Etiquette of Herb-Gathering
Remember that all plants are living things, and if you harvest them too severely, they will die. This seems obvious, but you’d be shocked how many people forget! This is especially important when what you’re harvesting is the plant’s leaves - always remember that leaves are how plants make their food, so leave enough of them to enable the plant to keep growing strongly.
Never forget that you may not be the only one foraging. Make sure that, when you harvest a wild growth of a herb, there may be others in the area who would also like to harvest that plant. Take only a little from a lot of patches, rather than using only two or three patches, but taking almost all of what is available at each one. This will not only ensure that other foragers can use that patch too, but will mean that when the patch regrows, you’ll know where to go back to in order to find it again instead of needing to hunt down a new patch each time.
When foraging on another’s land, ask their permission first! This seems so straightforward, but sadly people forget that plants growing in other people’s gardens (yes, even their front lawn) are that person’s private property! Taking cuttings or fruits from plants on that property without the owner’s permission is legally theft, and can be punished just like shoplifting or stealing a bike from a railing. It also means that the owner will know that their plant is looking smaller because it’s been harvested, rather than them thinking it’s died or been eaten by some wild herbivore.
Always cut stems at a diagonal angle. Never snip a stem so that it forms a circular, blunted end, because this can allow rainwater to build up on the surface of the cut. This rainwater can trap fungal spores, and cause the plant to get a serious fungal infection that may damage or even kill that whole patch. Instead, cut the stems at a roughly 45° angle, so that water beads up and rolls off more easily.
When collecting flowers, remember that other people like to look at wildflowers. Never take ALL the flowers from any wild plant, both because it prevents that plant from reproducing as it naturally wants to do, and because it means others who walk past the plant don’t get to see it’s beautiful blooms! If you own the plant, that’s another matter - you may WANT to snip off all flowers to prevent it from bolting, like with parsley. However, with wildflowers, always leave at least half the flowers on the plant so that it can continue to reproduce as nature intended.
Never pick a plant you can’t identify with total certainty. Yet another seemingly-obvious one that is nevertheless often ignored. This is often quoted for fungi, because some fungi can be quite poisonous, but if anything it’s even worse for plants. The medicinally fabulous plant known as yarrow, Achillea millefolia, is a very useful plant and a common component of herbal medicines. However, it looks almost identical to spotted water-hemlock, a species of plant so deadly that one bite can kill you in 20 minutes. Make completely certain that all plants you collect are positively identified, and that you flag all plants with commonly-confused poisonous cousins for further identification later if you’re not 100% sure.
Never harvest flowers from plants around beehives. Bees are one of the most important families in the natural world, being responsible for the pollination of tens of thousands of species of flowering plants all over the world and on every forested continent. Whilst most species of bees are solitary, and don’t form the large hives we assume are common to all bees, those that DO form vast colonies need similarly vast numbers of flowers to support themselves. When you come across a beehive, especially a boxed hive that’s clearly domesticated by humans, try to avoid harvesting any flowers from within 500 metres (about a third of a mile) around the hive(s). The hive needs all the nectar and pollen it can get, and due to the rising threat of colony collapse disorder the life of every single hive is a precious thing that must be preserved at all costs. It might be inconvenient for you, but it’s worth it.
***************
These are just a few of the major rules that I personally suggest all foragers and herb-gatherers take to heart. Remember that you’re not the only Witch who needs their supplies! Thank you for reading :)
– Juniper
