It’s kinda hilarious to me how down with murder Merlin is. Like I feel like most shows, especially family shows, have the character at least be morally conflicted about killing. If not out right refusing to kill.

Merlin does not give two shits. He murks someone in the first episode, zero conflict. His body count must be at least in the thousands by the end of the show (considering he took out a whole army). But let’s not forget all the up close and personal murders he commits.

I recently rewatched the changeling, and in that episode in quick succession he kills Grunhilda, the Sidhe and then gives Gaius a look like “do I need to do everything myself?” And gives Elena the potion. ZERO fucks given, he is so unfazed. Merlin is always down for murder. It’s so funny.

And I support him lol.

my dm just introduced merlin, Just straight up merlin emrys from Merlin, as an npc in our campaign. now obviously i will attempt to romance him, especially considering i play a 6’ noble fighter decked out in chainmail with a sword i know what to do with. That is his type.

Funniest thing to me is that a lot of other tomarry shippers love ronmione aswell which is so delightful to me, like imagine this exchange:

Something fun I noticed in terumob fanfiction is that 2016 Anime Release era fics tended to portray Teruki as such a suave guy getting Mob flustered with his flirtatious charm while nowadays the general consensus is that Teruki is so weird and hopelessly infatuated by Mob that Mob's simple existence is enough to make him suck ass at anything he tries. Even though he was blind during the 5 Kage Summit, Sasuke looked at Naruto and got so distracted that he got caught off guard by Kakashi

Okay I’m a SasuNaru & LeeSaku/InoSaku fan on most days but sometimes you have to admit there’s a very specific type of wholesomeness that comes from two best friends who have been there for each other and probably know the most about each other’s idiosyncrasies and what flower is Naruto’s favourite or how does Sakura like to braid her hair when she’s on call

Like the domesticity that comes from years and years of going through it together due to love for their third member of their trio and bonding over the wait that comes after (I bet you they both asked if Sasuke will take them with him and were promptly just smirked at and ghosted)

Like the culmination of “hey if you and I aren’t married by 23 (cause that’s like 40 by ninja standards) do you want to just get married to each other” as they lie in front of the TV in their ratty PJ’s and snacking on the newest weird snack they can find from the grocery store down the street

The kind of love that’s born from being the constant in each other’s lives and knowing way too much because you spend so many hours on missions together

(plus Sakura will probably kill Naruto if he ever decides to for some reason treat his son like crap and Naruto will cut off his good arm first before he ever thinks about leaving the village for more than 3 days *cough cough*)

hands down the bbc merlin version of the sword in the stone legend is the funniest possible version of it. this big dramatic scene of arthur realising his true potential and finally believing in himself as a king as his remaining subjects watch in awe, witnessing a sign that their king is destined to carry camelot to greatness, because this legendary prophecy about removing the sword from the stone has finally come to pass,

and then merlin’s in the background whispering to gaius just ‘yeah i stuck that in there like last week and made the story up on the spot. gonna use magic to make it look like arthur’s actually doing something’ SIR PLEASE

Imagine Morgana wouldn't have pulled off the Anakin Skywalker move and stayed in Camelot

At some point Arthur would have been forced to schedule an intervention meeting with Gwaine, Lancelot, Morgana and himself and the agenda would have been:

- we can't all be in love with Guinevere and Merlin

- Why we love being dominated by servants (a kink deep dive)

- who gets to court who (I choose Merlin)

- Why Morgana should get Gwen (she has the power to eldritch blast us all to the moon)

- Gwaine & Lancelot: sad bachelors or potentially the hottest knight couple Camelot has ever seen?

I love that Arthur and Merlin are part of this huge prophecy. They are two halves of a whole, two sides of the same coin.

And then there is Gwaine who somehow managed to wiggle himself into this elite circle in the sluttiest way possible and rebranded them as strength, magic and courage

So, AU were Merlin is an specialist in Medieval Spain and Arthur is a Detective, so they meet trying to solve a case.
