this have been going on my mind. A fic wherein Zoro got sent into the past (Nika's time). Zoro got to spend time to Nika because his gut tells him that Nika is the answer/key to get him back on his time. So, Zoro and Nika have their adventure together that could lead to falling in love with each other. Nika was the one to fall in love first to Zoro because he is strong, devoted, loyal, faithful, and steadfast.

It doesn't surprise Nika if he receives food, love, or devotion. To Nika it's normal because he is a God. But deep down Nika knows the support and devotion of his followers were like the fire on a candle, so fickle. It's a first to Nika to want something. And it is Zoro's devotion and loyalty. Nika can't help but to be jealous to the person Zoro's devoted to. It was a first to Nika, to feel all that kind of emotions.

Nika: "As a God, we can't really be selfish. It's a sin for us."

Zoro: "There's nothing wrong to be selfish sometimes, as long as it won't bring harm to your self or to anyone. What do you want?"

Nika: "Can I really be selfish? For once? Can I?"

Zoro: "Tell me the thing you want, so we can do something about it."

Nika: "I want Zoro's devotion. I want Zoro's loyalty. I want Zoro's heart. I want......"

Zoro: "You cannot have them. They're priceless."

Nika: "Then why does your captain can have it? Like you said, we're just alike."

Zoro: "I didn't give it so easily. He earned it. So, if you want it. Earn it."

Nika: "What must I do to receive your heart, Zoro?"

Zoro: "Bring me back on my time."

And then, Zoro got back on his time. When Zoro got back he can't help but to ask Luffy what he thinks he's awakening would be, and luffy answered. "Hmmm, I think I could stretch really far away, you know. Why do you ask, Zoro?" and Zoro answered, "Nothing."

And then, it goes down hill when Zoro see the awakening of his captain. The other straw hats were in awe and happy to see it, they gush all over on their captain. Robin's the only one seeing the face Zoro's making. "Zoro, is there something wrong?" Zoro could not speak, he could only stand and look at his captain. Luffy steps forward, going to zoro and trying to touch him but everyone is shock even luffy when Zoro step back.

all in all, was Zoro could only fall in love on Luffy because he has Nika's ability & physical trait or he was already in love on his captain that his love can transcends through different time.

idk, but this live rent free on my mind that one chapter on the manga of zoro and luffy wherein they were on the side of the sunny and suddenly luffy ask zoro where did kuma send him and they talked, even the crew were giving them space/privacy to catch up on each other. 🥹

just my thoughts, I hope that oda sticks to the notion of there's no romance between strawhats. 'Cause if in the future, Luffy and Nami end up together, that is gonna give me an ick. This is not a ship hate, okay but let's be real. Like, just why? THEY ARE FAMILY. I like their dynamics already. I'm so fed up on the notion that the mc should end up on his/her closest friend/company. THAT'S A BIG NO ON ONE PIECE. LIKE THERE'S NO NEED A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP ALL THE TIME JUST TO SAY IT'S A HAPPY ENDING!!!
