I think Anne With an E was one of the best adaptations, from books to a series..
*possible spoilers about Anne with an E*
I didn’t finish reading the books (I was on fifth? book I guess or maybe sixth, I can’t remember right now) but I first watched the show and I bought the books afterwards expecting to read a similar plot with the show but nah-uh.
The books are great tho, but they had a whole another concept with similar characters (mostly)
Meanwhile, in the show we get to see different perspectives, different ideas. I think they did a great job turning a female lead into a strong willed woman.
Anne (in the show) had a really modern look on world and equality and she always seemed very focused on her interests.
Also in the show we get to see other characters and their lives more detailed as well.
It’s a shame it got cancelled.
Also the show was great to show people that we don’t always need a “love triangle” or chaos (I’m not against them, they are great of course; chaos and tension are also make a plot really effective&interesting, when they used properly and balanced with the storyline) to make cinema great. That show had really good plots&ideas about friendship, family and nature (in every aspects)
It was giving a good message with a calm and gentle storytelling. While showing a really nice nature of Prince Edward Island.

okay. so,
After getting the results of the best dystopian book man and seeing some posts about Liam Stewart.. I find myself thinking about characters named Liam (in general, not only dystopian genre)
..like Liam Stewart from the Darkest Minds..
..or Liam Mairi from the Fourth Wing..
(and some of the books I read online which have characters named Liam in it)
and I realize that in every book those Liam's are good and likable characters.
or I might say, *husband material* -yes I might went a little insane after thinking about this topic for so long sorry-
Anyway.. that made me thinking.. I think I never see a "villain" Liam in books.
(by the way I am not trying to make a point or a statement, it first started as a statement not gonna lie, I was like "OH IN ALL BOOK&TV SERIES&MOVIE HISTORY, THERE IS NO BAD LIAM" but I realize I don't come up with other series that includes this name much either..)
I am open to new characters named Liam and whether they're evil or cute in that *book/show/movie*..
(maybe my standards are high because of this two man -yes I am talking about you Stewart and Mairi-)
I'm really wondering if there is another Liam that we can add to our *man of the year* list.

After writing about two different dystopian green flag man.. I think we have to choose..
(I fill the other ones with other dystopian characters who also have an charismatic aura, or just an "aura" -& one of the main characters of their universe- & also very liked by 'us' NOT that I find every one of them green flag characters, I just realize there are not much dystopian words or I don't know if there are.. I'm open to suggestions)
-this is not a who is better and who is not type of competition.. I'm just doing it for fun and to see your opinions on different characters in dystopian words-
Also, I added "Newt from the Maze Runner" into this as well.. As far as I can remember he also has a very outstanding characteristics/personality traits..
I'm not adding tv series like the 100 etc, only books and their movie adaptations.. maybe we might do one with fantasy genre.. and romantic.. oh yes.. the list can go on and on baby!
but for this one,
I feel like I don't feel that much hype on some of them in the list.. maybe it's because I read&watch the series a long time ago and I forgot, or we really didn't dive deeply into their perspectives&traits like emotional intelligence or plots where we saw their point of views&actions etc, or it's just; I had momentarily forgotten that person and I cannot recall anything as I write this post..
anyway, shall we.. start?

Okay so.. I watched the Hunger Games -the second one- (again), it was on tv,
And Peeta Mellark might be the other greenish flag in dystopian book men category.
He also has a great heart and is a very sensitive&caring person. Even after the torture he’s been through by capitol.
He is clever as hell! He played the capitol with his sharp mind.. and even tho he kinda seems shy/or quiet sometimes he can be very good with words -flirty or charming or both-
he talk through stuff, SO his communication skills are also good and he knows the importance of talking and sharing emotions with one another to solve a problem.
So yes, probably not my biggest hear me out, but I cannot see a red flag in him either..

I still think Liam Stewart might be one of the greenish flag fictional dystopian book men ever exists..
my man has no socially violent personality, has charisma, thoughtful, kind -even though he experienced too many traumatic things himself as well- and still acts so innocent and good! to everyone! and open to talking things through rather than ignoring..
-it's been a while since I read the books so I may have forgotten some events/plots but I feel like the hype on him is not enough on "green flag book mens"-
(and I really loved watching Harris Dickinson in the movie as him!)

I was reading something the other day about Maven Calore..
*possible spoilers about ending*
We never got a chance to learn his true intentions. Like yes we get to see his perspectives in some books but in a general level we only knew his hatred towards Cal and reds etc, his obsession with Mare and his traumas.
But when you think about it, it would be really nice to read a book (a short book, it doesn’t have to be a whole long and detailed book -I would read that too of course but I’m saying short to make it more possible-) anyway.. I would like to read a book which only includes his perspectives. Like from his view point and his emotions and his thoughts.
From the beginning.. like.. the story starts with Cal and Maven’s childhood (with that we would be see their brotherhood more detailed too) and continues with their mischievous behavior in the palace and in the middle of the story, with Mare, we get to see the plot we read before from his perspective -with the past story about him- and well.. we all know the ending..
I don’t know, I think I would definitely read that. Because I really enjoyed reading his perspectives in other books too.

*spoilers about twisted hate*
Josh did dirty to Jules.. I know she forgave him and he felt really sorry about what he did but,
My pride would never..
(Josh is one of my favorite characters by the way, its not a hate comment but that scene really broke something in me about him)
even after I read his emotions and his pov that he felt really bad.. but being angry is one thing, using someones trauma to hurt them is.. well.. not the greenish flag..
maybe I needed a couple of extra chapters/scenes where they were separate idk, it would be nice to see his regret more and Jules's emotions about her past traumas&facing with them alone..

Okay guys, I have another theory about fourth wing and the upcoming books..
*possible spoilers*
So we know that Xaden’s mom left them when he was little. But I saw a video about RY which she tells some things about motherhood etc
So my guess is,
what if Xaden’s mom was actually someone who predicts future, maybe precognition -since it’s a power that we read on a specific chapter; which I can’t recall that particular chapter- and saw visions about the future and left for that reason.
AND
Maybe in fourth book,
if Violet left to find the cure/or travel far far lands after Xaden turns full venin -we discussed that in my previous posts- maybe she might met with his mother that was already waiting for her to come..
“I’ve been waiting for you, Sorrengail”
So she might be Violet’s “guide” to meet with new people for her purpose, in an uncharted territory that she -Xaden’s mom- already explored.
And in the fifth book, she and Xaden confront with each other too (as a scene) I can hear her saying, “I had to do it, I had to left”

What do you guys think about RQ world building?
To be specific, *possible spoilers about the ending*
In Julian's research, there were maps about "long before the disasters" where we see Manhattan etc, our world's "timeline"/US map..
It was a really.. interesting approach for me.. and I'm curious about your opinions as well..
Because when you think about it, as a reference, it was realistic bcs we are now living some those catastrophic events -sadly-.. and when you get more "delulu" about it, after 200 years or something -I cannot recall the exact timing- Mare really exists in this very same world..
I promise I'm normal.. it's just.. I remember that after finish reading that book, I was like.. OH ok!
..well in a universe where this "research of Julian" is true, it means that after 300 year from now Maven, Cal and Mare will born and start a war and laugh and cry and have children and die or get old&die.. and it was.. bittersweet? idk what to call that emotion..
Maybe I was just being sensitive after finishing a series..

At first, I thought fourth wing series will only have three book.. so I immediately think that it -third one- would be the "finale"
now that I know there will be 5 books.. well.. my earlier posts,
*possible spoilers and FW/IF theories*
I still expecting Dain to be die at the end..
Tairn is also in danger for me..
And all other guesses.. maybe they're not going to happen all at once, not in the third book at least.. but still.. (I'm behind on my ideas for most of them)
also, since there would be two other book, I think we're going to see Xaden and Violet in opposite sides at the end of the third one and in the fourth book they may be "enemies" and maybe we might see Violet trying to find a proper cure.. and the fifth book will be the "final battle"
so,
third book;
Violet will try to find a way/cure to stop the spreading..
Xaden will fight to not surrender that darkness..
Maybe some foreshadowings to the possible "cure" and Violet's research that leads to her dad or to some locations -that will affect the fourth book-.. idk at this point.
Also in story based, I think we might see mostly her research for the cure but also we have an "upcoming war" threat so we are going to read some strategical scenes; with more Aaric and new allies etc, but at the end, the darkness might overcome Xaden so he might turn full "enemy" side (not by his will but mostly maybe to protect others&Violet from himself) so this might lead other's plans to crash (bcs Xaden will probably know their plans&strategical calls) so that lead Violet to be one step ahead of him/venin's in the fourth book.
In character based,
I think the redemption arc of Dain will start to be more visible in that book.
Jesinia become more active character, while Sawyer starts healing (and since Sawyer 's signet is about metals, it would be cool to him having a metal leg) she might even help him and this might effect their love&interests in each other too.
We might start to see more scenes with Aaric like I said, first I was going to ship him with Rhiannon but than I kinda sense that maybe him and Cat might be a thing (after Cat become more "emotionally" stable character; bcs Cat liked Xaden due to his "power&position" so she might be affected by Aaric too if she finds out who he actually is and that leads to a development in their romantic interactions)
I also think we might see more scenes of Garrick and Imogen.. which leads us to connect with them more and by the fifth book when or if one of them gets killed we will suffer more..damnit.. (my guesses is Garrick)
Xaden and Dain scene.. we might get that since Dain never apologize to him properly about Liam.. (and maybe even a heart to heart scene where Xaden tells Dain to; if you really want to prove me that you're sorry "protect her at all cost if something happens to me" -and Dain will be like "I always protect her" "promise" "I promise"- is that too emotional for them? maybe.. but I expect Xaden to be more pessimistic&protective over Violet in that book so anything is possible.)
I also think that in that book, we might say goodbye to one of our main dragons.. (hear me out, Tairn.. why am I thinking that way, let me explain myself..)
so we know that Andarna cannot fly with a rider (yet) and if Tairn dies or sacrifice himself at the end of this book, in fourth book the journey of Violet to find a cure and save Xaden (and maybe figure out the mysteries about herself and venins) become more challenging and this would add storyline more tension.
Either way, if Tairn dies at the end, we might get to see more Andarna&Violet's connection scenes in the fourth and fifth book and since one of the most powerful dragon -Tairn- is dead "finding a cure" would become more essential to create a balance between sides (if Xaden become full enemy at the end).
And also Andarna is a very special dragon so she&we might learn new things about Andarna's species during Violet's search for a cure and her journey -bcs if she leaves with Tairn, Andarna probably wouldn't come with them-. And this might lead to new theories about her signet/powers and "cure" itself.. (I still think that Violet being a truth-sayer would be too obvious, it's reasonable -very very accurate- but I need a more shocking signet; and I cannot think an unexpected type of a truth-sayer power -yet-)
fourth book;
Violet might travel to find the cure (and maybe reunites with some people or uncovers the secrets about her family) and I think Rhiannon or Mira (or both) might accompany her.. (I also expect Imogen and Garrick might come with her too; and we get to see more scenes of them by that. And Dain and Ridoc might come too; Dain to keep his promise to Xaden and for Violet and Ridoc, is Ridoc.. he is their friend..)
and also I read some theories about her hair being a symbol that she is immune or she is literally the cure herself.. maybe we get to learn more about that too..
Aaric's identity might be revealed to the others to add more allies&an army for the "final battle" (so royals might be more included to this book)
We might get to know more about Andarna too in this book.. (maybe while they -Violet and her travel group- are traveling uncharted territories, some might recognize Andarna's species and might tell some stuff about the power she might be holding..
(I don't really know, at this point, I believe Violet might travel with Andarna if Tairn dies at the end of the third book. But also, if Xaden turns completely into a venin, Sgaeyl might also want to help Violet to save her rider; if she doesn't left with Xaden)
I think we get to see more Garrick&Imogen and our other ships during this book too.
and if we get to find out Violet's second signet in the third book, maybe in this one she might try to control her powers.. and uses them during their journey.
and by the end of this book we need an "battle-ish" event so, (in third book they were in Basgiath, in this book we might start with leaving there and Violet headed to her journey&others going to the Aretia/Riorson House so there might be a battle there which venins will lose. -and Dain might die in that part; while helping Violet to save/capture Xaden to cure him, maybe, by "venin" Xaden? I hope not.-)
in the fifth book; final battle
I think, at the beginning we're not going to see Xaden as an ally and we are going to try to cure him first. And later on with the "healed" Xaden, they are going to get ready for the final battle.
and also
I really cannot predict properly.. but..
since in every book at least one important or significant character dies; I want to write a list of my opinions too (it will become a massacre at this point bcs my guesses changes with every theory I read)
in the first book, Liam and Soleil died..
in the second book, Lilith sacrificed herself..
so for the third book, my guess is Tairn.. (I want to be wrong so bad)
for the fourth book, Dain (?) and Jack
and in the fifth book, bloodbath.. no I'm kidding.. kinda.. I hope?.. I don't think Xaden or Violet will be dead so.. Garrick, Mira and Ridoc might die at the end..
oh god it turns out to be a long post.. I got really imaginative at this hour! AND I'm probably mistaken at some points but still.. better than to be forgotten, I update here if anything new comes up as an idea/theory.
and I'm also wondering if we only get Violet's perspective again.. bcs it might change the storyline too since we would only know her journey..

I wonder what Mare doing..
Is everything okay? And how she and Cal holding up?
It would be fun to read about their lives when they got older and with their kids etc.
Like calm and *happy* kind of stories.. -I want to believe that in the future they overcome their problems and traumas-

Oh shit..
I have another theory about the third book of the fourth wing.
So -story time- I was reading some theories about Violet's second signet.. and I started to think about possible deaths again..
In my previous post, I said that both Violet and Xaden will live. (that's my theory of course -and wish?-) but what if..
Violet sacrifice herself to save Xaden? idk it might be too far off but still.. (I got that idea because I read a theory about Violet being half venin? it was about her father being a venin or/& the "fever" her mom had that affects Violet's hair color etc. so it was saying that she might be the cure herself AND now that Xaden.. you know.. *spoiler* on the way to become one of them, what if she needs to risk herself to save him) and also.. Xaden always saying "you will be the death of me" what if "she will be the savior of him?"
and afterwards, I was like.. okay lets think about it.. Violet is dead. Her dragons will/might live, Xaden is also alive.. It really doesn't fit in my head that she is dead and Xaden stayed alive.
that leads us to my second theory, what if Tairn sacrifice himself to save Violet? (I want to be prepared for sad possibilities so I'm overthinking at this point) Violet ends up with only Andarna so she will still have a dragon; which leads to her staying alive (I don't think Tairn's death alone would be deadly for her; am I wrong?)
I don't know..
also about another possible deaths and events&ships I expect,
Garrick and Imogen
Sawyer and Jesinia
Is there a ship about Rhiannon and Ridoc?
so if one of those ships become real, I don't think RY would kill Sawyer due to his *spoiler* injuries, so if we must separate one of our ships at the end, my guess would be Garrick or Imogen (I don't want them to die of course, I'm just trying to be ready for the upcoming possible traumas)
and since we always exposed that Violet or Xaden, one of them is going to die, maybe we are looking to the wrong "bond" maybe Tairn or Sgaeyl will die at the end..
(and Dain will die for sure.. I have a feeling, idk)

I read some theories about Violet’s second signet.
*possible spoilers?*
The more I read different opinions the more I get curious. Mostly because all of the theories are reasonable in their own way.
Some say it’s about “gravity” related, some say dreams, some say control&mind related, some say it’s light or seeing&talking with the dead. And since RY said that she left clues.. we definitely read but cannot “comprehend” what it’s symbolizing.
But for me, after reading some theories.. I think it would be more possible that Violet’s second signet is more “mental” power.
Because she controls lightning. So she already has an elemental power. The second one being more ‘rare and powerful’ due to Andarna and if it’s connected to her inner self it would be much interesting.
And some theories say when she orders someone something, they obey; so that leads she has control related power. As much as I can agree with that to some extent I still believe her signet might be more about knowledge and truth.
Xaden is more into “control” control and making someone do something does not match with Violet’s personality. And she also avoid killing someone or damaging people while fighting, she only harm people -or become very dangerous- when she gets really angry -emotionally unbalanced- and that what power-up her lightning powers in my opinion.
Like.. think about a lightning.. in nature it happens in seconds and is really dangerous. And in the books her power mostly adapted to her emotions; while kissing&intimate scenes or when she got angry.
So we got the elemental power covered.
And since in the books Andarna says something about balance of powers -I can’t recall the exact scene- I think that “balance” is both related within Violet and between her and Xaden.
Xaden controls shadows (elemental power of him; being secretive as a character) and he can read peoples intentions (mental power; needing to know everything&everyone). So for Violet her powers has to create a balance too -between two of them since they are bound together bcs of their dragons-.
Her lighting powers (which is kinda the opposite of shadow -darkness and light- powers of Xaden) is her “nature” wielding signet. As a character her powers affected by her emotions and her up&downs a lot, like I said before.
She is smart and she always try to be ahead to guarantee her -and others- safety. So her needs might built her second -and mental- signet which is her need to knowing the truth/or making others to be true&honest to herself. And her being able to make someone to be tell the truth might become a very important factor in third book (to learn how to cure Xaden -from Jack or even by interrogating a venin-).
Like in the books, she says “I am a person who needs information to center myself” so maybe her need to find ‘gravity’ is a symbol of her second signet which turns out to be uncovering secrets by making/forcing people to tell the truth.
