for the @merthurmicrofic prompt hunt | 132 words
The leaves crunched under his feet, disrupting the silence of the forest, along with his laboring breath. Merlin had no clue how deep in the forest he truly was, and perhaps stopping was a mistake, but he needed to ease the burning in his chest. Of course, it had taken barely a second before a hand clamped down on his wrist, turning him around and pinning him to the closest tree. The hand left his wrist, joining the other at his waist like hot brands on clothed skin. “When you said a hunt,” Merlin gasped as lips brushed against his, “I didn’t realize you meant me.” Arthur merely smiled, something equally filled with danger and humor. Merlin swallowed back any other complaints, accepting his fate as a prey, facing a wild predator.

I need an AU where the witchfinder accuses Morgana of being a sorceress and Arthur defends her. When Uther turns against her Arthur and Merlin prove that Aredian is a fraud but before that Uther yells at Arthur: "Magic is evil"
An Arthur yells back: "It's Morgana! She is good, she is kind even if she had magic she is still herself! "
Which made Morgana AND Merlin realize they could trust him

@merthurmicrofic prompt: fawn
“Arthur, look!” The urgency in Merlin’s whisper was the only thing that compelled him, but when he turned, all he saw was a fawn half-hidden behind a tree.
Arthur sighed. “It’s a deer, Merlin.”
“A baby deer!” They watched as the fawn tripped over his own leg, seemingly while standing still.
“Wow, looks just like you.”
Merlin’s voice lilted up toward Arthur barely a beat late. “I didn’t know you found me so adorable, my lord. To whom shall I address my rejection of your courtship?”
Feeling his face heat, Arthur snapped, “That is not what I meant.”
“Oh, do you prefer beautiful?”
“Repulsive.”
“Radiant?”
“Horrid.”
“Sexy?”
“Merlin.”
“Oh, that’s a good one. I’d call myself that as well.”
Arthur huffed angrily, finally turning to look at him. “Pretty, I would say,” he spat. “Like a girl.”
Somehow, this did not have the desired effect.
Searching for any sign of hurt or defeat, Arthur took in the set of Merlin’s jaw, the confused slant of his dark brows framing the amusement in his sharp stare. Arthur hated Merlin’s eyes, now more than ever. They seemed to suggest Merlin knew something Arthur didn’t.
Whatever, Arthur thought as he turned back to the path. Merlin didn’t know anything.

The two best reasons to ship anything are:
1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance
2.It would be so fucking funny
