병 — a counter word for bottles, 잔 — for glasses and cups, 권 — for books, and 장 — for sheets of paper. 개 is the standard word for counting items. Did you know that there is a separate counter word for meals?

In general, it makes sense, since, for example, we also count people with the words 명 (standard) and 사람 (more official).

🔗 끼 — 1) a counter word for meals; 2) talent (colloquial, used to refer to the ability to sing, dance, or show acting skills in front of people)

What is 끼? Meals that a person takes according to their own schedule daily.

🤍 Instead of 끼, you may also encounter 끼니 and 끼식 — the meaning is the same.

💡 Did you notice that the word 끼 has a second meaning? Yes, this word is also used to define a person's talent to perform something, meaning that someone, for example, an actress 끼가 있다 (has a talent) or, on the contrary, 끼가 부족하다 (does not have enough talent).
