A Marauder’s Plan by CatsAreCool (Rachel500)

An AU where Sirius Black does everything in his power to take care of Harry (i.e. becomes a lord, uses that Black family torture/ training, and puts the b*tches in their places). Also, he loves Harry, and Harry needs, deserves all the love out there.  

CatsAreCool (Rachel500) is a wonderful author that offers changes in the HP universe that introduces wizarding political intrigue, family magic, and appropriate outrage the the Dudley’s treatment of Harry. Additionally, they caused me to have a major crush on Bill Weasley, so I may never forgive them.  Extra points for a chosen family, with Remus and Dobby and Minnie *tears.* 

Starring:  Lord Black Aunt Minnie Godbrother Neville. Love interest Hermione.  Well-intentioned&tryinghisbest Ron. Coolassh*t Bill Steward Remus  Chessmaster Dumbledore (ooooo) I love it so much.  

As of 12/6/2020, I’m about halfway done, and I would recommend rn.  Though, I have a passing fear that family magic with come swooping in to save the day at the end; however, CatsAreCool is alluding to a price that comes with its use, which keeps the story compelling.

Review: A Very Slytherin Harry by geoffaree

It’s so good! Personally, I switch between thinking Snape is an obsessive a**whipe that shouldn’t get the hero treatment, to being deeply intrigued by his motivations and wanting to think the best of him.  Geoffaree creates a situation in which Snape character and motivation are compelling.

I love geoffaree’s Snape, and the relationship they have created between Snape and Harry.  It's beautiful and awkward and lovely. Their relationship grows and builds in such a satisfying way.   Further, it’s a testament to geoffaree’s writing that I didn’t question the initial adult pairing. And, later, the Harry and Blaise relationship is so perfect.  Honestly, all the relationships A+. Geoffaree shows us what we need to know with character actions and observations... Masterful.  Therefore, Draco’s relationship, in particular, didn’t come from left field; it made sense in the story. 

Also, the world geoffaree created reminded me of the world Kubo created with Yuri on Ice, where love is love and no one is judged for it.  It was so refreshing. 

Not Completed, but would recommend. 10/10
