For the shipping prices, to me those prices are wildly expensive. I never send something international, so I checked what I would pay and for a small package it is €12, which is cheaper than I expected (thought it would be €20-€30).

70 USD is crazy money for shipping something small. I could send a 5kg package to Mexico for that and it would need to cross the Atlantic Ocean

Ohh thanks for checking that up, and yeah, 12 is very reasonable. I'm glad to hear that the Colombian prices are decisively Not Normal.

It is one of the reasons I don't really buy things from international artists ... and why I treasure so damn much anything that anyone sends me, including zines I participate in. I just really couldn't get them otherwise.

And one thing I am very aware of? I didn't know how to ship out anything before the zines from last winter, so sending them all out was also a small achievement for me after being two days at the post office figuring out addresses (and, as far as I'm aware, all of them arrived safely!)

ok-- I quoted for one single zine-sized envelope to Mexico City, just as an exercise...and DHL:

Fedex: this one is in Colombian pesos, which is around 70 - 90 USD

Coordinadora :

4-72 : That one is in COP too ,but it's 40 - 50 USD

y asi a casi todos los paises de latinoamerica, quizas baje un poco a lo que es peru y ecuador, pero no mas de 10USD ouch🥲 Somehow, it's gotten worse from the last time I checked

... Inside the US, shipping through USPS was around 5-10 USD, even to Hawaii. And I didn't add here any kind of tracking, nor the cost of the envelopes. I honestly don't know how small businesses do it.

Omgggg are you selling the physical zine anywhere?

I did at the end of last year! It was a preorder run exclusively for the USA... Mostly bc I was visiting a friend over there and I wanted to order some physical copies without worrying about international taxes.

I'd like to do a second one, at some point in the future. 🤞 At least one is in mind for Europe and Canada, but for now, that's not very possible without insanely expensive shipping.
