I must not nap. Napping is the motivation killer. Napping is the little-death that brings sleeping for 5 hours. I will face my fatigue. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will go to bed at a decent hour. Where the nap has gone there will be waking. Only I will stay awake.
One of my favourite mundane weirdnesses about Edinburgh is that we set the big clock visible approaching the station to be 3 minutes fast to make sure people are on time for their trains. My Favourite mundane weirdness of Edinburgh is that we check this by firing a cannon.
I fed a lizard some cookie crumbs on my vacation <3
I have no idea if that's good for them (probably not), but while we were picknicking two of them were continually trying to climb into the cookie bag, so they seemed to know exactly what they wanted xD I made sure they didn't get any chocolate though, I'm pretty sure that's not good.
They were both lovely, very curious and apparently used to humans. <3 10/10 would recommend that company.
Best of... sort of :) It would be too hard to decide what has impressed us the most. That’s why I looked up a couple of pictures of thistles, and my favourite cow Dipsy (it really is her name) <3 It was such a lovely time in Scotland, we had so much fun and collected lots of good memories. It’s not going to be the last time we went there! I’m kind of glad I’m only doing this now, I was really sad to leave the life in Scotland behind - not to say that I’m not happy to be back in Berlin, reunited with my other friends and my family <3
Now it’s time to leave this blog-project as is (for the time being). This also means time for new projects! :-D
23/08/18 Falkirk Kelpies. Falkirk is close to where we lived, yet we never went to see the Falkirk Kelpies! These sculptures are more than 30m high. This may not be the best shot of them, but to be fair, I took the picture as we drove by. Have some mythological inspiration <3
23/08/18 Spring of Youth. Just kidding! Back from Ben Vorlich, we decided to take off our shoes and enjoy the cold, refreshing water of a passing little stream.
I love to take pictures of flowing water, nothing fascinates me quite like it. And there’s a lot of that to be had in Scotland! <3
23/08/18 Loch Earn and Ben Vorlich. What a view! I think I found my new house at the shore of Loch Earn :) It was the last week of our time in Scotland, and my father-in-law, my aunt, and my cousin came to visit us. Together we wanted to do a Munro-hike. We couldn’t have chosen better! The weather was so-so, but for that we were rewarded with a rainbow... and what a beautiful one it was, we could almost see the end. What a wonderful goodbye to the Highlands. :)
