Happy MLK day!
To be fully transparent, the last few days I kinda fell off the 75-hard wagon. I take my period week pretty seriously tbh and try to listen to my body and I feel like that is necessary. On top of that, the below-freezing weather made it really undesirable to get outside to work out. That being said, I continued to cook my nutritious meals, read most days, and didn't drink alcohol. I'm not gonna "start over" like they say to do for 75 hard, and instead, I'm gonna pick up where I left off tomorrow. PS- listening to your mind, body, and soul isn't a failure.
Anyway, love you all and hope you're having a fabulous long weekend!
Go Lions baby

Today was my rest day, but it was also a Sunday reset. I planned out the meals for the week, went grocery shopping at both Trader Joe's and King Soopers, set my weekly goals, and planned out my workouts. Usually I would clean on this day but it felt like my body needed rest, and that's what I did! I still managed to get in a gallon of water and read my book. Ugh, just realized I didn't take a progress photo so I will go do that now. I hope you all have a lovely week!
love your soul,

The past couple of days I have been so tired and busy, but I've been pushing through! Yoga this morning was an absolute must and it felt so damn good. I love the yoga class I go to because it's mostly older people in there and the vibes are immaculate. There was a woman that was behind me who had a hummingbird tattoo on one shoulder and a sunflower tattoo on the other shoulder. My grandma sends me hummingbirds for sure, and I've kinda been thinking my friend Paige who passed away in July might be sending me sunflowers. Earlier this week in yoga, the yoga teacher had us do hummingbird asanas which I hadn't heard of before. So... I guess my guardian angels are with me in yoga lately.
Those Korean bowls that I made this week will 100% become a new recipe staple for me. So easy, delicious and spicy! I'll drop the recipe for yall if you are interested. Tomorrow is the day I gather recipes for the week, so I'm excited to hopefully try more healthy things.
Week Recap
Overall, my energy levels in the mornings have been much better, and despite the PMS mood swings, I feel much happier and I can't express how good it feels to be in a routine where I'm holding myself accountable and have an organized schedule so its easier to be consistent. I hope you all are enjoying your 75 hard journey!
Happy Birthday Aly!!

[x] read 10 pages - Atomic Habits
[x] 45 minute workout outside - AM sunrise outdoor walk
[x] 45 minute workout inside - PM stairmaster and butt/leg day
[x] gallon of water
[x] followed diet - High Protein: Banana + cottage cheese for breakfast, Tumeric shot, Leftover Mediterranean bowl for lunch, protein shake, a little choc, nuts and rice cakes for snacks, and tonight's dinner was leftover Mexican veggie bowl. I usually don't do well with leftovers so I'm pretty proud of myself for this week so far!

This morning's walk was a frosty one! I noticed it makes me cold all day long, I almost thought my furnace wasn't working. For the first half, I listened to a walking meditation and then a Dr. Huberman podcast about gut health. I headed to the gym mid-day to crank out a workout. It was quite packed. It's always interesting to see the completely different demographics depending on what time of day you go.
I have to go through 4 water bottles per day to get to a gallon, and I have to keep track with a tally because I keep forgetting how many times I've filled up. Talk about first-world probs. A problem I pray I have forever, shout out to #globalwarming.
This evening I jumped on a house consultation with mi madre and we went over homes we are possibly interested in purchasing. It was fun, she is a great realtor and really helps you visualize the lifestyle of each particular home/location! Afterward though, I was real tired and did not feel like reading. I had to reread the same sentence several times, and Drew had to pull me out of my reader's block by reading me a paragraph.
I'm definitely PMSing, hence the daily chocolate. Sry not sry. I can tell my mood would be much worse if I wasn't doing all these healthy deeds for myself.
I hope you all have a fabulous evening. Tomorrow is Friday!!
Cheerio <3

Keeping tonight's blog post short + sweet! It was kind of a long day because I didn't sleep well, so I was less inspired to crush these goals. During yoga, I kept feeling the urge to leave lol. Which means I really need it now more than ever. I haven't been to yoga in a couple months, and it definitely felt good to stretch. The schedule I made for myself forces me to do yoga and go to the sauna on Wednesdays. The dinner I made today literally took me all day to make lol. I had a feeling, so I started prepping the sauces (tzaziki and red pepper hummus) earlier in the day on my breaks from work, and my blender is so tiny it was damn near impossible to blend up the hummus to be smooth. I think it took me like two hours for the hummus alone. Its cute because I thought that was gonna be my new thing. It did turn out really well when all said and done. I'll see you beloveds tomorrow!
Love you,
Li

[x] took progress photo - good thing I remembered to do this after a big meal :)
[x] no alcohol - nope, and in fact I was pretty ready to give it up and didn't even drink on NYE. I had my last drink on Christmas and not sure I'll ever go back.
Today was a huge success and I'm feeling accomplished! I honestly was in a bit of a rut for the month of December after coming back from Thailand and feeling quite broke and worn out. It felt really amazing to get back into a routine again. I set myself up pretty well for this challenge. They say that New Year’s resolutions are kind of out of place because goal setting should really begin in spring, and that this is a time for rest. I fully get that and support those who are participating in a relaxing period. For me, though, I’ve always done really well when I set my goals at the top of the year. I think monthly check-ins to make sure you’re following your set goals is crucial though! I think having a visual like a vision board or creating a Mind Movie works so well. The background on my phone is a vision board I made a while back and I’ve accomplished almost everything on it. This year, I plan to create a Mind Movie and I’m really excited! If you’re not familiar, these are short videos that you design yourself to get your mind in peak 'manifesting' mode, that you watch first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The idea is to see yourself as having whatever you want now, played out in the movie with hertz frequencies in the background. The goal is to get excited about your dreams, to stop focusing on what is and envision on how you want your life to be.
Preparation
This last week I spent some time collecting recipes, I wrote down all the things I'd like to do daily and weekly, made a workout schedule and plan, and organized a system for how to realistically accomplish these tasks/goals. I also did an intention setting ceremony last night with Yoga Girl's annual podcast which I absolutely love.
On NYE my love and I went out to eat at one of our favorite Italian restaurants and I drank a delicious mocktail that had blackberry, mint, agave, and soda water. I was definitely in bed before midnight (MST) but I did watch the balldrop on tiktok live and got my new years kiss lol. I think this was another way I set myself up for success, just knowing that I did not want to start off the new year hungover. It's not worth it to me and I've really outgrown that poison.
I wondered how well I would do with the outdoor workout with it being winter, but honestly it was really refreshing to jump out of bed and force myself to get outside. The cold woke me up and it was a great start to the day. I listening to a walking meditation. The last time I did this consistently, I very quickly quantum leaped into my dream career from a very depressing job, I passed the ASWB licensing exam by a landslide, and I started my UGC side gig career which has also been quite a success! I'm seriously so damn excited to see how life can get even better than it already is.
The self-development book I started reading is called Atomic Habits by James Clear, and I can already tell I'm gonna love it. I've heard such good things about it. It's about how to build good habits and break bad ones, noting that tiny changes in your day to day life can have a huge impact on your life long-term, whether good or bad. Here's a quote from the book that stood out to me today:
"The impact created by a change in your habits is similar to the effect of shifting the route of an airplane by just a few degrees. Imagine you are flying from Los Angeles to New York City. If a pilot leaving from LAX adjusts the heading just 3.5 degrees south, you will land in Washington D.C. instead of New York. Such a small change is barely noticeable at takeoff- the nose of the airplane moves just a few feet--but when magnified across the entire United States, you end up hundreds of miles apart."
Thanks for tuning into my journey! Can't wait to see the transformation both physically and mentally.

3.  What challenges did you overcome?

My Monthly Favs What’s in my cup:
Every morning I drink iced coffee made from my one & only Nespresso machine. The past few months I can’t get enough of the double espresso blend, and then I add a bit of whole milk (happy cows only) and sweet cream. I can’t find anything better from Starbucks or anywhere else. Sometimes if I’m craving a hot drink, I’ll head to Dutch Bros for a hot Carmelizer and it is totally worth the cringy 9 minute forced convo with the DB crew. I also start my day with electrolytes, currently in the watermelon flavor. It’s surprisingly really delicious but I miss the Electrolyte Synergy blend that I was drinking for a long time, which has been sold out for almost a year now. :’)
What’s on my plate:
Dinner lately has been the laziest in America. After our trip, Drew & I either have the same ole chicken, rice and veggies, a spicy “mexican bowl” or some form of pasta, usually with Raos Arriabatta sauce. This week we’ve been stuffing our faces with Trader Joe’s frozen meals. We promise to be better next month, but we are really exhausted and the last thing we feel like planning are meals. However, for the last week of December we actually have some things planned for the holiday weekend. On Friday, we’re hitting up the town as we do every year to walk around and see the lights, and find festive little bars to try out new Christmas cocktails. We plan to spend Christmas with just the two of us. For Christmas Eve we are making our annual corn beef, cabbage and carrots because apparently we are super Irish (confirmed by 23&me which btw leaked all my genes to hackers). On Christmas we are having tri-tip, garlic & butter brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. The Christmas cookies we’re making this year include White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread cookies, Peanut Butter Blossoms, & Holly Leaves. Okay and now that I’ve told you all that, the Christmas cocktails we decided on this year are The Mistletoe Kiss (a vodka, soda water, rosemary & cranberry drank) and Bad Santa White Russians. I also heard that Moon X Pinot Noir from Trader Joes was really good and lately the Redvolution just isn’t doing it for me.  Let me know if you want any of these recipes, ladies. I will make sure to find GF, DF, and V options.
What’s on my bookshelf:
I’ve finished two of the Colleen Hoover books, and now I’m reading another one of hers called Verity. It’s kinda depressing but that’s kinda the vibe as of late so I’m into it.
What’s in my playlist:
We love the Sia Christmas album. It’s so fun and happy. Believe it or not, Andy introduced me to it lol. It’s so good!! Other songs I’ve been into are I remember everything by Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves. It reminds me of a family member rn which is very depressing to me. Fun to cry to. Bubble - STAYC, Surround Sound - JID 21 Savage, Baby Tate, Adora Hills - Doja Cat.
What I’m up to:
Making our house into a winter wonderland of lights. Watching hella hallmark movies. Being seriously lazy, not working out or eating healthy. Walks with Snoop around the park. Mandala scratch off nightscapes. Reading at 3am when I was jetlagged. I had a sleep study this month too, no sleep apnea for me, back to mouth taping! It really does help with quality of sleep for me. You should try it! Also magnesium spray on my feet (shout out to Aly). This has helped with my restless leg syndrome that we’ve all experienced. This weekend, we’re making all our foods and cocktails, going downtown, driving around with hot choc to look at lights, and heading up to Rocky Mountain to hike a bunch of mountains.
Skincare Saviors:
My skin gets so dry in Colorado, its TERRIBLE. And now that I’m saving for a house, I had to break up with my amazing esthetician, who by the way I stole this template from. I’m obsessed with Dermlogica thanks to her. I use a miscellar water if I wore any make-up. If not, I just double clease with my face wash. In the AM I’ll use my Rosehip Triple C+E Firming  Oil, followed by COSRX snail mucin essence, and a magical mix of calm water gel and intensive moisture balance.
Love you long time,
Li
