Yuri!!! on Ice - Victuuri Give Away [Jul 06th - Jul 14/1PM EST]

With the recent news of the Ice Adolescence movie for 2019, I know that everyone in the fandom (myself included) is super excited about what MAPPA will bring to us (more YoI content with movie picturesque quality).

The craze over the past few days got me to go through my YoI loot box and found myself with more stuffs than I know what to do with so the best option seems to do some give away events to help spread the love for Yuri!!! on Ice (thanks for @nikiforoov​ for advising on the logistics of this).

OKaaaayyy…. So yeah I rarely post these past months ;;____;; BUT I just want to share this fanfic that I have been thinking for so looong..

I want a AU fanfic where Victor Nikiforov has been pining for Yuuri (nothing new about this) but then he got cursed by a witch to be in a body of a 2 yr old kid for acting so childishly… Victor, the ever optimistic one, uses this chance to get close to Yuuri.. ;))

I’ve been wanting to draw this kind of position for a while…. (and finally got around to it)

I love mermaid AUs, so i wanted to make my own version of mermaid!Yuuri <3 I know he has a nose but..gills…i couldn’t resist and ended up adding gills 

I decided to make Vicchan a seahorse, because seahorses are so cute! He’d wrap his tail around Yuuri’s hair strands and follow him around ;w;

Yuuri started out with a light blue/sky blue tail and fins/scales. He stayed that way until his late teens, when he had his first “change” (he’s a late bloomer!), and his scales turned a very dark blue, nearly black around the lateral lines. Some white spots also appeared.

What does Mila look like in your Merfolk AU? I'm curious bc she's my favourite girl!

Right now i don’t have much on Mila’s design aside from this doodle–

But she looks something like that! Her tail is black and magenta/pink, along with black spots =w= I really like her too <3<3<3 Drawing her hair is very calming to me for some reason

She usually doesn’t ‘wear’ anything- only when she’s crossing harsh currents (sturdy, algae-made tops), practicing water dance (tops such as the one in the picture) or when it’s winter (some capelets made out of seal skin). Aside from those three situations, she wanders around topless.

‘Naked’ isn’t a thing for merpeople. The clothes’ only function to them is to warm up the body. When it’s not cold, nobody wears anything because it’s not needed! They don’t mind showing their abdomen/breasts.

Merman!Viktor for my YOI Mermaid AU =w=

Mer Viktor is famous for his huge fins! They used to match with his long hair when he was younger.

He went through a pretty intense first change! Starting out with light gray scales and ending up with a deep magenta with golden markings.

The holes in his flipper come from a accident he had when he was younger. The accident involved a teen Viktor, a bunch of teen friends, a lost bet and a shark. Needless to say that while the accident’s result wasn’t fatal, it was far from nice ffffffft

Viktor competes in water dancing, which is similar to synchronized swimming, but solo. He also practices speed swimming as a hobbie and also to strenghten his tail muscles. His tail looks pretty, but can deliver some pretty hard hits!

Makkachin is, just like Vicchan, a seahorse. Same type, even! He’s just bigger and has a darker shade of brown. Just like Vicchan, Makachin likes to wrap his tail around Viktor’s hair strands and follow him around. Due to Makka’s size and Viktor’s short hair, however, nowadays Makka usually wraps his tail around Viktor’s ear or arm instead.

Merman Yurio, the Russian Catfish Punk!….or Fairy.

Yuri was born with very tiny and round-ish fins, earning him a cutesy look, but as a result he wasn’t able to swim very fast. He has very agile, being able to perform sharp evasions, but his swimming speed was slower than the average for his age. This scenario as reversed after his First Change, in which his fins suffered a growth spurt and turned sharper, allowing him to reach very high speeds. His scales turned a golden color, and he also got dark stripes, a trait inherited from his mother.

His tail is of the ‘speed’ type, common among racers, but his interest isn’t in racing, but in water dancing instead.

He has a pet eel named Potya. Potya is usually seen swimming between his arms or very close to his body. The eel tends to ignore anyone that isn’t Yuri or his grandfather, Nikolai.

Yuri has a high metabolism, which prevents him from building fat in his tail to warm him up during winter. Because of that, his grandfather usually makes him capes out of animals’ skins to help him retain warmth during winter. His tail is quite thin in diameter, and while it lacks in strength, it allows him to swim fast enough to avoid most sources of harm. It is also very handy during water swimming competitions, since he’s able to do quick and fluid moves.
