So I RotE (pun intended) a thing and wanted to share it with the RotE fandom

wanted to get back into writing and heard about a scene in which fitz puts his hand into the sleeping fool's and i melted and thought "what if the fool woke up" and well i wrote a bit

what blooms on Aslevjal My Winterfest gift for aravendown on AO3! The request was anything with these two, with Winterfest fluff and hurt/comfort as potential jumping-off points. This may not be set in actual winter, but they're bundled up and it's cold, right? The flowers are tufted saxifrage, and yes I did research to pick something that could plausibly be found on a glacial island. I was so relieved when I double-checked the text to confirm that they did indeed do the Aslevjal quest in summer. Sometimes I forget everything but how much I freaking cried through this book. spiritually I am holding hands with everyone else who hoped that Fitz would ever make up for the bit with the flowers. Family Gathering

Here's the piece I made for this year's RotE Winterfest Gift Exchange, a cosy scene bringing together Fitz, Beloved, Bee, Nettle, Riddle, Hope and Hap <3

I took part in this years @winterfest-gift-exchange and my prompt was: Fitz/the Fool (or Amber) in their older years or perhaps Lord Golden and Tom.

I went with Fitz and the Fool with canon diverge ending, where Fitz can finally be part of the court as Dutiful's advisor.
