In GoT I love the Lannisters, especially Jaime and Tywin (he’s bad but he has got charisma!). But I also loved the character development of Sansa and Theon.

In HotD I’m still deciding. I like Laenor and Daemon, and I think Alicent is a really well developed character even if I don’t always feel empathy for her. But I still think she has valid reasons.

Those I really can’t stand are Larys and Cole, though.

My thoughts about Viserys exactly! 

Paddy is so insightful and intelligent! He really nails the role of Viserys.

“He has to show these people that he’s a fucking dragon”.

“If you really push me, I won’t like it but I will cut out your fucking tongue!”

“I’m a good guy but don’t fuck with me”.

As of now, Viserys has snapped twice while talking to Daemon and to Corlys. 😉

I’m still waiting patiently for the situation when Viserys unleashes his inner dragon in full force. 😇

I agree in part but I think that Viserys can be partially excused by his illness. I don’t think he possesses the energy and strength to attend to his duties AND handle three teenage kids. Even simple things that he could do with them are beyond his capabilities now. He tires easily, he’s often in pain. The children grew up while he was declining. I think he delegates much of their care to Alicent, like he does many other things (I find that she has quite a lot of decisional autonomy as a queen, and she has her say in a lot of matters). I honestly think he trusts her.

You know its funny how people constantly question Alicent's parenting but never question Viserys virtually invisible parenting.

As in the real world women are constantly judged in excess for every single thing their children do or not do and men responsability is just completly ignored i just want to kill everyone

The full interview is really interesting. I love how much depth he gives to the character, and I love that the showrunners gave him a degree of creative freedom in that regard. And I genuinely love that he is so protective of his character and so invested in him.

Paddy has managed to make Viserys one of my favourite characters in the whole franchise!

I’m starting to think they are going to leave Daeron (the fourth child) out of the show. He was significantly less important than his brothers and sister in the book.

The most heartbreaking thing about House of the dragon and the Targaryen trio is the fact they love each other. If not for the damn throne they would have been a superbe family. The king loved his late wife, he loves his daughter so much and he loves his brother deeply. That's why it hurts when he heard what Daemon said about his son. Because despise everything he loves Daemon and defended him and never thought he could betray him. And he was right. Daemon don't want his brother dead. He was genuinely sad when his nephew died but because that little boy was between him and the throne he can't allow himself to be sad. He wants his brother attention. He wants to be recognized, he needs to make his brother see him as an equal, because that is his older brother and he admires him in a way. He loves his brother, you can see him smile when his brother defends him against all the advisers. I don't think he even wants the throne. He doesn't care. And it's the same with Rhaenyra she ressent her dad but you can see she's trying to reach him. And obviously she loves her uncle and he loves her too. They don't want conflicts. They just are all lost to the power on their shoulders. Power that wasn't even theirs to begin with. They were not supposed to be the ones on the throne. And it destroyed their family and it's sad. Because they will be each other downfall despise loving each other.

Yeah, Frozen Pride keychain and chibi blind bag keychain. These are the only two I know of and I proudly own them both. I must admit Vexen has got more merch than most Org members, since Marluxia and all members from KH2 don't have the chibi keychain.

What's with the lack of Vexen merchandise? Think one day Square will realize this... awful mistake? (Appreciate your blog by the way!)

honestly i’m used to characters i like getting zero pieces of merch at all ever, so the fact that vexen has a whopping two (2) things makes me feel unironically blessed

at least i think it’s only two?? someone correct me if i’m wrong but AFAIK there’s just the frozen pride charm/pendant and the chibi blind bag keychain. if there’s more i’d love to hear about it so i can buy 600 of whatever it is

“Hey, it’s okay, Xion.” His papery smile does not conceal the exhaustion in his face, unmarked by green teardrops. “It was just a bad dream, all right? They’re gone for good—all of ‘em. Everything’s okay now.”

She’s grateful that he sits on the edge of the bed until she falls asleep again, but it doesn’t stop the dreams from coming back.
