Ok. So. Initial thoughts! Twig! Crazy!!

I’m still planning to work on actually being able to write my thoughts in a more concise way.. But for now I’ll just ramble.

The ending was sad, but I didn’t really expect otherwise. I think the best ending, for me as a reader, would have been Jessie or Lil having to kill Sy. But I read comments on chapters in the last couple arcs, and *so* many people thought that would be the natural conclusion of the story. Even without his plans for the ending, I could understand Wildbow taking a different direction purely to surprise readers.

I don’t love the Radham Lords as they are at the end. Would have enjoyed seeing Lillian protest more, or Jessie wake up and go “wtf did you do?” It makes sense they’d end up following Simon, after all they’d been through, but I wish we’d seen a little more of the internal thought processes of the more wary of the lambs.

Overall I think this is the saddest ending possible. Like I think them all being killed would be less sad. To fight so hard, for so long, losing people and themselves, just to become what they was trying to destroy.

Crazy going from Sy in arc 3 being like “I think I’m ready to die” to him being willing to kill other Lambs to insure his future as a Nobel.

to be clear. the twig ships for me are sy/jessie and mary/lillian. but i have many strong and complicated feelings about sy/lillian and while some of them are violent most of them are positive.

group chats with people who aren't your friends are so stressful every time i send a message i have to triple check it to make sure it was what i meant something normal like "yea i can make the dinner" or "that's so funny" and not an accidental misstext like an itemized list with links of all the porn ive consumed in my entire life + a suicide note + a love confession
