Took a break from some top secret quilting to work on this fabulous wool quilt! This one was fun. Different textured backgrounds followed up with some #superiormonopolythread to outline the wool. This quilt!!! My client @ellencam23 knocked it out of the park! We did an interesting batting combo black @hobbsbatting 80/20 with @quiltersdream 100%cotton white on top. It worked amazing! I think she liked it so much it might have been kept instead of gifted 😂. Thanks Ellen for finding me on IG and mailing your project. I have really been on a curved cross hatch and curls kick lately. Feels like home outlining Applique and adding lines and feathers. This one has been done for quite awhile but needed it day on the gram. Sometimes I forget to post quilt finishes and sometimes they are “secret”. Know this though I am quilting!! Look at this beauty who is dropped off and in it’s forever home! I have this pattern and wool all picked out… now if only I were the kind of person who quilted things 😂 This #Merrychristmasquilt by #hearttohand is a true wonder! I remember how excited I was at market (like15yrs ago)to meet the maker and buy the pattern for this quilt. It all came full circle with this finish! Makes me almost feel like I got it done. Used #quiltedpineapplerulers, as always, for this arched border. Gah…I might have to just go dig out that kit. Take a look at this wonderful #antiqueweddingsamplerquilt made by my wonderful friend/client, Nancy T. *fun fact-Nancy and I started hand Applique at the same time…. She is WAY better than me* LOL! Pattern is from @difordhall. I quilted it with one layer of Hobbs80/20 batting using #innovatech thread top and #magnaglidebobbins I am just over the moon with how this quilt turned out.
